Everything went very smoothly from start to end with Nissen and Associate. McKenzie, the office assistant, responded to my inquiry promptly. It was easy to set up an intake appointment with one of their tax preparers, Michelle. I dropped off my tax documents with Michelle. She emailed me with a couple of questions before finishing up my return. I swung by the office and signed a couple of documents to authorize them to file taxes on my behalf, and that's it! Painless! Because Michelle was able to give me a great discount, I paid significantly less than I paid H&R least year. I only interacted with McKenzie and Michelle, but they are both friendly yet professional. I loved that I never felt rushed or they never tried to upsell anything (like other companies I mentioned above). I highly recommend Nissen and Associates! My tax is pretty simple as I only have 1 job, 1 house/mortgage, and 1 child. As a matter of fact, Brian got it done in 15 minutes! As I was paying for the service at the front desk, the next client went into Brian's office. Yes, they have 15-minute time slots. This year, I paid $250 for my simple tax. So, if my math is right, it's $1,000 per hour! I know Brian doesn't get all of that, probably not even close to half of it, but it's still outrageous.
