Nate needs to be cloned! He jumped right in to change headlight bulbs in my Subaru today. Had them changed out within 20 minutes. Done. (I might add that two of the large, chain shops in the area either wouldn't do this job at all or told me it was a complex process involving removing the front bumper). Not the case! Great job, Nate, you are fair and skilled! read more

So good to find competent, quality service and reasonable prices. Nate is 100% the real deal. New muffler, same day. Will be back!

I messed up my exhaust pretty bad thinking I was going to weld it back together but my welder stopped working. Called Nate's and he told me to bring it by, was able to fix it the same day and get my car back at a reasonable price. read more

Nate, was great! he was thorough in is review and informed me of what he was going to do and quick with his estimate both monies and timing. I will recommend his shop to anyone and return for any future work. He also noticed when he completed the break work I had a headlight out and replaced it no charge. Great guy. read more

Best service available anywhere. Nate is honest, talented at fixing nearly anything brought to him and prices are good. You will not find a better automotive repair facility anywhere. I was treated poorly by multiple dealerships scamming me, price gouging and making up issues that didn't exist pertaining to my vehicles condition. Nate is a NO B.S. guy with integrity and talent to fix anything automotive wise. The policy there is first come first serve and the turn around time is phenomenal. One of the best attributes to this garage is that the owner will contact you! You will not need to call for an update because he's on top of it. I can't say enough good things about this facility and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Nate's Fast Forward". A+++ read more

Did a great job on fixing my daughter's Subaru that had some blockage (cork) in the fuel filler neck. Saved my a ton of money. Everyone who works here is extremely nice and friendly. read more

I have been taking my Jeep here for years. He's a no fuss, no frills and straight forward. Quick and friendly. My roommate had gotten her car checked out somewhere else and was told to scrap it. I told her to bring it to Nate and he got her car running for a couple hundred and it's still going strong a year later! He's great and I'd recommend him to anyone! Thanks for always being honest, quick and efficient. read more

Another great experience with Nates Fast Forward . Honest Straight forward and Fair

Was able to look at my truck right away. Diagnosed the problem within an hour and made a recommendation for me to repair my self since it would be a costly repair that I could do. Honest mechanic and highly recommend. read more

I had to bring my car in on a tow truck with almost no warning late on a Friday afternoon. The electrical system had died without warning. He had it diagnosed before I could arrange a ride home, and managed to get replacement parts for a 15 year old Mazda and finish the job in less than 24 hours. Even better, previously my wife had brought her car in to replace the alternator. She'd been told by a different shop that it needed it. All he had to do was replace it for a quick payday. Instead, he took a few minutes anddetermined that she did not need an expensive repair. I consider that a real mark of honesty. read more

Decided to take my truck to Nate after getting an extremely high quote from a dealership. Nate ended up not being just an exceptional mechanic, but a down-to-earth local who genuinely isn't in business just to make money. There is a sign inside the office that reads "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten." Nate gives high quality with the lowest prices around. He is recommended by locals and even employees at Les Schwab. If you need work done on your vehicle and you live anywhere near Lake Stevens, do yourself and your vehicle a favor and let Nate take a look. read more

Nate is the best. I wouldn't let anyone else work on my car. He's like the Car Talk guys - knows his stuff and would NEVER ever screw you. He's turned away thousands of dollars worth of work on my car because he knew things were still covered under warranty. His prices are excellent, and unlike some of the bigger garages like Schwabb, he puts QUALITY parts on that LAST. We LOVE YOU NATE! read more

What a professional Nate is. Fast, efficient, kind and fair. Besides other services I requested (alternator, tune-up, etc.), wrongly assuming that I needed a new battery, I requested one to be installed. Nate checked the battery, and shortly notified me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my battery and even gave me a printout of the analysis printed out by the battery analysis device. It was in perfect shape, no need to spend on a new battery for a long time. He even complimented the condition of my well-taken-care-of 25-year-old pickup truck! Thank you for your excellent service, Nate! read more

My 2007 Chevy Trailblazer was running rugged right after a 'supposed' $150 Tune Up from another mechanic shop (who shall remain unnamed) & at the recommendation of a friend, asked Nate to take a look. This was on a Friday afternoon! This guy is about as thorough as they come. He found the previous mechanic had NOT 'gapped' plugs correctly, pcv hose was left unplugged, purge valve NOT purged (which is an EPA violation), they left screw off air filter & many more sloppy things. Then Nate went to work on an ongoing issue for past year where I drive a distance & then have trouble re-starting a 'hot engine' in my car. Nate discovered it was NOT a fuel pump issue (as several mechanics told me), just a bad Thermostat. Added a LOF & thanks to him working overtime at no extra charge, he had me outta there on a Friday afternoon by 5:30 p.m. I slept well that night knowing I had found a good mechanic read more

Have had him work on both mine and my wife's vehicles. He does a great job at a fair price and gets it done quickly. Seems to find the best prices on parts as well and if the job costs less than the quote, he actually charges less, honest guy! He looks intimidating like he could lift the car and do repairs without a jack, but he's really a nice guy and won't rob you. Glad we found him in Lake Stevens. read more

I had a wonderful experience here yesterday! Took my SUV in to have the breaks checked, and was expecting a pretty hefty price due to what I thought was going on. Nate called me a a few hours after dropping it off and he was able to spare my rotors and just replace the break pads! Car is working great now! I was very happy with his service! He is kind, honest, and very fair! Highly recommend! read more

Fast, friendly and does great work. My parents were in town helping me work on my house, and my Dad's truck broke down. Nate diagnosed the problem and had it fixed that day! The price was fair and Nate went above and beyond to get us back on the road that day. I will be taking my vehicle there in the future and recommend you do the same. Thanks Nate. read more

We have a 2002 Honda Odyssey. We also have six children that we take here, there, and everywhere. Recently, we started up the Honda and the engine was running REALLY rough. It was sputtering, and acting quite odd. Our friends referred us to Nate's and we are so happy that we found him. He diagnosed the problem the same day, a transmission malfunction. He fixed the problem in one day and did not charge for unecessary services. He is local, honest, quick and affordable. We have found our mechanic! Thanks so much for the great service. read more

Nate is our go-to-guy! At least 6-7 times now. He is affordable and will let you know if you should go elsewhere. We have always been treated fairly and with respect. His wife is sweet and helpful, too. We love supporting this local family. read more

My Jeep Comanche was leaking at the engines front and rear seals. After reading the Yelp reviews, and getting a couple of estimates from other local shops. I decided to get a price from Nate's. The quote was much more than the estimates from other shops. I had not shared my estimates with Nate. When I asked why his cost was so high he informed me that he had to drop the transmission and front axle. Having researched before hand I knew this was not required. I had the work done at another shop. I Will not be getting anymore estimates at that location! read more

So knowledgeable. Honest and trustworthy! Down to earth and gets the job done - not out to sell you anything you don't need. Brought him my daughter's car and he fixed the immediate issue with the necessary $22 part within the hour. Showed him a quote from another shop for additional work I was told "was necessary" to fix further issues and he asked me to leave the car "for possibly an hour", so he could give me his recommendation. An hour later, he phoned me and went ahead and fixed the vehicle; with 2 parts (not even listed in the previous shop's estimate) for $108. The other shop's estimate - $650, 9 parts and 6 hours estimated repair time. Nate determined the actual issue, obtained the parts and repaired it. Charged me 2 hours labor, total, for both repairs. Drove my daughter's car home smooth, smoke and noise free. Boom! read more

We love this guy. He is an Old School Shop, with Old School integrity. Have had all our family cars in there in the last month, and in each case did an excellent job at repairing them, for less than expected, Wife wanted a tuneup on her Hyundai, and he checked it out, called us back and told us "you don' t need a tuneup." Really? What shop does that any more? Thanks Nate. You have my business for life. read more

I was in an accident a month ago & have basically been without a car since. My insurance finally told me my car was a total loss, so I had to go to Plan B, fixing my old trusty SUV. I needed it fixed fast, as I have a trip coming up & didn't want to spend hundreds renting a car, so I called Nate. He told me to bring it in right away. 90 minutes later he called me, he found the problem to my loose column shifter & had it fixed. He barely even charged me on top of that. I was expecting to spend hundreds & have to wait days. Nate is my new mechanic! read more

Nate has taken a swing at a couple of my vehicles, and done a decent job on the repairs (except for a Qjet carb rebuild that had to be returned twice and still is not quite right). The differentiator between getting a 3rd star and not is his attitude. On all interactions with him, it felt as though he would have preferred I took my business elsewhere. While I love supporting the local guy, I had to find a new "local" guy. read more

Good place to get your vehicle fixed and/or looked at. Decently priced, quick service, and gets it done right. Not a very social guy but nice enough. I would definitely bring back my car to Nate's. read more
