Hello beautiful people! Today, I want to share with you an amazing experience…read more I came to San Diego Strength and Wellness at a dire time in my life. I had received the news that I might need knee surgery due to a tear on my ACL and Meniscus. That evening I spoke to my dear friend Ben and he asked me the following " do you want to wait and see what the doctors say? Or do you want to give your knee a fighting chance at recovery through proper physical training? The thought of getting in better shape, not going under the knife and giving my body a chance to heal was too tempting to pass. I said "YES". I then asked " what do I need to do?" and he just said "just trust me Sal". We immediately set up our workout schedule and he asked me to send him photos of everything I was eating throughout my day. Twice a week I did 60 minute personal training sessions and sent him daily photos of my meals until I refined my eating habits. I can honestly say I am not dieting. I eat what I want, when I want. I just crave healthy stuff and that is what I had been chasing for a long time; sustainable healthy eating habits. With this said I want to thank you Ben! First of all, your work ethic is contagious and the foundation to your success. Your gym is clean, not crowded, it has great energy and the team you have created is 2nd to none. Your whole team has eagerness to help and develop the talent that goes in seeking help/guidance on improving both mentally and physically. I can now say that after 3 months of hardwork in and outside the gym, that I am stronger body and mind, healthier, and the fittest I've ever been. Oh and did I mention, NO SURGERY NEEDED!! Started 2022 at 173lbs, got to San Diego Strength and Wellness at 163lbs and after 3 months got down to 148lbs. Slowly losing fat and gaining muscle. Being healthy is not easy and/or quick; it takes time, dedication, persistence, and above all, resilience to adhere to your objective. Thank you all for the support in this journey and for your continued support in my next journey!

I joined because I wanted to prepare for my College Volleyball Season by increasing my athleticism and strength. My trainer Julia really pushed me. Being a former collegiate athlete herself, she knew what it takes to be successful at the next level. Despite only meeting with her twice a week, I have gotten a lot stronger and gained 8lbs of muscle going from 143lbs to 151lbs. She taught me lots of different exercises that help me strengthen my entire body, especially my hips, legs, core, and at the same time increasing my overall flexibility and mobility all of which have translated on the volleyball court. I don't think I ever been pushed more physically and mentally any where else. Look no further this is the best gym in SD. Highly recommend.

A, San Diego, CA 92121 I first started working out with Mike in 2008. I wanted to lose weight and tone up. Before we did anything, we went through a comprehensive evaluation of my current status and my goals and then he gave me dietary guidelines that were easy to understand and easy to follow. We started working out twice a week. Immediately I started losing weight and feeling stronger, AND I had more energy. Mike knows when to push me and when I am at my limit. In the days following my workouts with him I always have that feeling that my muscles have been working, they are not too sore but giving me just the right amount of feedback that my body is changing. I start feeling better, looking better and getting stronger. Through the years, I have taken breaks away from weight training with Mike. But as months sneak by, I'd notice my weight starting to creep up just a little bit, 3 to 5 lbs or so. I come back to Mike and get immediate results. I like the way I feel when I stay on a regular program with him. I know weight training increases the body's metabolism and helps me burn more calories even when at rest. And having that accountability of checking in with him weekly just helps me stay on track with healthier food choices. I have been going to Mike for 6 years now, and the workouts are never boring. He always manages to introduce something new to keep it interesting. I always have a good time going to the gym, which is something I never would have said before working with Mike.

I cannot overemphasize this point; Mike goes out of his way to make EACH workout session fun, and his easy-going personality is a big part of that. He will push you when he needs to, but is also accommodating to your needs. No ego, no hidden agendas, no small-print, no extra costs. He is also flexible with scheduling on a day-by-day basis. Mike promised me results when I first started. And I am here to say that there have been results. You figure out your personal fitness goals when you first meet with him, and then you jump straight into the exercise regimen without any fuss. He also works with each individual's intended fitness trajectory to set up customized nutritional goals. I had reservations about a few things in this regard, and he was able to easily accommodate them. There is no better feeling than knowing that you are getting in better shape. And to simply see your clothes fit better. And as the previous commenter mentioned, I owe my progress entirely to Mike. If you are in the slightest doubt, I would urge you take up the first complimentary evaluation session with Mike. You literally have nothing to lose. I cannot recommend Push Personal Training enough.

I have had a goal to compete in NPC bikini for a few years but put it off while I was finishing school. Then, in 2017 I was in a car accident that left me with ligament damage in neck. I spent a few months rehabbing my neck and then decided it was time to get serious about competing, so I started looking for a coach. When I first met with Jon for a consultation, he went over my training history, my goals, and his background/expertise and how he could help me reach my goals. I decided a few days later to hire Jon and he created a custom plan that would help me get my strength back and build muscle so that I could reach my goal of competing. Every week we check-in and he adjusts my plan for me based on performance and results, and also checks in to see how I feel and if I need help with anything. He's always been available to answer any questions when I text or email him, and he answers my questions in depth. 9 months later I am still working with Jon and Elite Conditioning, and I am 4 weeks out from my first NPC competition.
