Heavenly lobster
Paul Francis M.

Good place to come for a date. Sunday nights seem quite so plenty of time to enjoy each other's company. It is an experience to come here. Four course meal for the price of the entree. Charcuterie board was good. Both of us devoured the salad. I just finished my swordfish that I took home, it was a little tough and overcooked but still good. My date enjoyed her heavenly lobster which she also took home for leftovers. I got back in the day they gave a dessert sampler where they had multiple desserts on a charcuterie board. They don't do that anymore but my date talked the waiter into doing it. For me getting over the holiday overload of food is the right amount of sweets, if I had to order something though I probably would have ordered the cheesecake for myself. They do a Sunday brunch that's bottomless, I definitely would like to try that someday.

Sausage and peppers

Went there for a fundraiser and it was served buffet style. I enjoyed the meatballs, they were as good as any Italian restaurant. The same was true for the sausage and peppers. The potato balls were also good, firm on the outside and soft and delicious in side. I also enjoyed the vegetable pasta, plenty of flavor. The rice and chicken , along with the beef dish in a stew mixture was very tasty. I would of given the restaurant five stars, except that the chicken and beef was a little dry The owner was tending the bar and was very friendly, plus the service staff was very good. I plan on returning . You can't go wrong with this place.

Heavenly lobster pasta

I am not sure how more people don't know about this restaurant ... but I am not complaining because it was a hidden gem!!! The service was beyond friendly and the timing between plates was perfect. We were never waiting for anything but they gave us time to enjoy each course before bringing out the next. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the booths are neat. Of course the real show stopper was the food! My friends and I loved everything we ate from start to finish. Bread, cheese platter, a salad, your entree, and a dessert board are all included in the price of your entree! And every single plate is delicious. We also ordered the potato croquettes and poutine fries appetizers which were additional but so so good. The amount of quality food you get is almost unbelievable. The heavenly lobster pasta lives up to its name. I loved the porchetta braising pot special I had.

The best pasta primavera

We had the most delicious lunch at Nataz. We attended a graduation party. Were we given several entree choices but none that I could eat because of dietary reasons. When I asked the waitress if they could leave out the meat and just serve the veggies, she offered me other full entrees. I chose the pasta primavera and it was fabulous. I never take photos of food but I was amazed at how many large pieces of veggies were in this dish. It was the best I ever tasted. And, I should mention that the starters and salads were also delicious. When I thought it couldn't get any better, they brought out trays of four different desserts. Enough for all of use to sample two or more. So good! The restaurant is not open for lunch, except for parties. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves. I highly recommend Nataz for your private parties,

Really nice place, with relaxing ambience. Dining is unique with a prefixed menu. That comes with a charcuterie board. I mean course and a dessert plus a salad with many options. Really nice spot definitely worth the drive. Don't let the location for you. It's out in a nondescript area and a shopping plaza, but it is worth every dollar.

The entrees we were served included chicken Parm, Penne Carbonara, Asian chicken and skirt steak. This was what dinner for two looked like.

WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?? I haven't been to Nataz in about 20 years when a young eager Chef (Rick) upset the New Haven food scene. Nothing has changed. To say the food is plentiful is a gross understatement, to suggest that everything we ate was delicious, doesn't tell half the story. We went on Sunday for the $35 Sunday feast which was just a complete food overload. Appetizers include oysters, meatballs, potato croquettes, caprese salad, calamari, bread and 3 spreads along with a great big house salad. The entrees included chicken parm, Penne carbonara, skirt steak with mashed potatoes an Asian inspired chicken with bottled water, dessert and coffee. The table was fill, our Bellies bloated and content. Run don't walk to a Nataz. Emily our server was great as was the rest of the wait team. The tables are generously spaced and I felt Covid Safe Great job Rick and team

Anyone know when the Clinton location is opening?

I was at the North Branford location on Sunday and they said they planned on opening this past Wednesday 11/14.

Supreme Seafood Restaurant - Clam Chowder, a good one!!!

We arrived at Clam Castle and as I was about to get out of the truck my cousin text me the viral lobster roll at Supreme Seafood. I told my fiancé I want to go to Supreme Seafood. He said it's only down the street. We arrived and I was very excited. As we walked in we were greeted by the owner and the two young ladies at the counter they were very welcoming and iit was very clean inside. It's a very small establishment with a eclectic vibe and it was quite cozy. Our starters were clam chowder and I had the shrimp corn chowder. It was very flavorful and they didn't skimp on the shrimp. My fiancé ordered a full order of the clam strips with coleslaw and I ordered the $55.00 lobster roll with steak fries and coleslaw. They do have a $40.00 lobster roll which 4 Oz and $80.00 which is 16 Oz of lobster meat. The clam strips were fried perfectly and there is nothing better then tasting that fresh clam they were perfect. My lobster roll had 8 oz of sweet, succulent meaty lobster over flowing in perfectly toasted buttery roll. I had very huge pieces and there were some trying to escape the roll but I won that fight that lobster roll was banging. The new owner informed me that the original owners were there for 35 years. The new owner had been there for 4 years. I told him where I was initially going and he said they had a family that ordered their 2 foot lobster roll that cost a working $230.00. He showed us the lobster roll he prepared and what was left after the family of three which included two adults and a newborn baby. I will definitely return to try the 2 foot lobster roll. If your in North Branford, CT please stop and enjoy all the delicious seafood at Supreme Seafood. To all my Yelper let's continue to eat our way through the world.#Foodie4life.

This is one place that has them, fried to perfection and offers them in their Combination for a small upcharge. I got an order, which was a generous pile of scallops, shrimp, belly clams and filet. I got a separate order of fried calamari with cocktail sauce; another fave. The eat in area is cute and comfortable and the two men, owners, I believe were friendly. I ate about half of my order and took the rest home. Yum!

We drove an hour to bring relatives here because it was so good the last couple times…read more But somehow the seafood quality already changed. .. maybe different chef ? The new England chowder was water down, even taste a bit sour...(That's strange for clam chowder).. someone dropped a lemon by mistake? .. Fried scallops and fried clam strip no longer taste the same, not as fresh and sweet. Scallops texture is kinda hard to describe but different. .. Fried fish batter was too thick and fish is very dry and bland this time We also has lobster roll it's just ok.... At the end we didn't want to eat anymore Last time when i order, i order everything individually...this time i kept being told combo is $1 different and you get all fries to come with. Don't try the bathroom out there, not very nice. We didn't eat all the food and relatives are not happy with the meal ... So after sharing the feedback they kindly gave us a seafood chowder (thank you)..... The soup is creamy and better than the clam chowder although the seafood is overcooked. We missed the good version clam chowder here ... We are just very disappointed about the change of quality although i understand it's hard to keep the consistency.

After a spending most of the day walking around New Haven I decided I wanted to have a lobster…read moreroll. Some quick Googles led me to Stowe's. It's situated right across from the beach and they have their own parking lot which is always a plus. It's got a pirate theme going on and there's pirate-related decor all over the place. Definitely feels like a hole in the wall. I went around 5PM and the place was pretty busy. Plenty of patrons eating outside and a bunch more waiting to take their orders to-go. Actually, technically every order is a to-go order. You go up to the counter and order what you want and they give you a buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready. Whether you choose to sit at the tables outside is up to you. But everything comes packaged in takeout containers. Service was quick and friendly. CASH ONLY. They do have an ATM though. I ordered a lobster roll, soft shell crab sandwich, clam chowder, and lobster bisque. Everything was pretty good but the sandwiches were a bit pricey. On the menu they're listed as market price and apparently lobster rolls were $22 and soft shell crab sandwiches were $17 that day. We had the soups first since they were ready immediately. The lobster bisque was ok, but a bit too creamy for my taste. I found myself tiring of the taste after several spoonfuls. I much preferred the clam chowder. It had a great consistency and it was served at a perfect temperature. The flavor was on point as well. I really enjoyed the clam chowder. The lobster roll was good, but not great. To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of lobster so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The lobster was fresh, but I found it to be a little bland. I got the sauteed roll, maybe I should've tried the fried. I really liked the soft shell crab sandwich. It literally looked like they took a whole crab and deep fried it then put it in a bun. It worked though. I especially liked it with the tartar sauce. If you're a fan of seafood, you'll like this place.
