They ran all sorts of tests to determine exactly what type of virus he had so that he could be prescribed the correct antibiotic. We came back today on a Sunday afternoon because his eye was bloodshot. The place was clean, check-in was quick and he was seen within about ten minutes or less. He was also able to schedule his appointment on the Carbon Health app which was easy to use and there were plenty of slots available. The provider he saw was professional and competent. I was having some sinus pressure myself, so I made an appointment right after his and saw the same practitioner. I wish they had more locations as this is an excellent place to go if you can't get in to see your primary care doctor and want something minor looked at. Just beware they do not accept HMO insurance at this time. We both have PPO plans, so didn't have a problem.

Lab tests (blood work) are put on the office visits not the physical exam causing the insurance to not pay. Everybody has to pay attention when visit her.

I recently tried to get a prescription filled on a Thursday before a long weekend; however, there was a glitch and it never got sent. I called on Saturday and left a message with a covering physician who said there was not much she could do until Tuesday but that she would contact Dr. Zabik, (very nice thing to do). Later that day, Dr. Zabik called my home and left a message that she had called it in for me. I did not ask her to do that but she did it because she is such a caring physician. I would highly recommend Dr. Zabik and this practice.

As someone who has multiple medical problems needing close monitoring and treatment, that is saying a lot. Dr. McNagny not only delivers thorough, smart, and impeccable care to me, she treats me with respect as a human and as a whole person, not just as a patient. When I had a (successful!) major surgery recently, Dr. McNagny spent a solid three months leading up to it checking in with me at least weekly to get me ready. She motivated me to get and be well--pricless. Her Masters in Public Health gives her extra understanding of how our American medical system works (or does not). She uses her savvy to the great benefit of her patients by advocating in ways I never knew possible. Also, her staff know me by name and are all great at what they do. We…read morehad a pleasant enough discussion, and when I called back to make a first appointment, I was 1) first given an appointment, 2) then called the next day to be told she was "full" and didn't have any openings but would call me back with other referrals, 3) then when I followed up, was told that in fact she was choosing not to take me on because she didn't feel she had rapport with me- from a 20-min nerve-wracking meeting. Unprofessional all around. Ultimately I'm glad I'm not going to be a patient of Dr. McCowan because her behavior in this non-clinical situation speaks poorly to what the experience of being her patient would be like. EDIT: After I published my review on Google, the practice manager responded by describing it as "slander." That is not only very unprofessional , but it is also FALSE. In order for something to be slanderous, it must be not true. I would ask for them to specify what was misrepresented or be more careful about the verbiage they use.

I cannot say enough about the man and his practice. Doc is an "old school" Doc, if he suspects an issue, he gets tests done, if he thinks you need a procedure, he sends you for it, he runs the care for his patients, not some insurance company. He is always available and gets back right back to you. Brian the office manager, is on top of EVERY aspect of someone's care and runs the practice very well. Very glad I followed Doc to his new practice.

I always feel listened too and learn so much each time I have a visit with the Doctor. I cannot say much about my results yet as it is early in this particular program.
