We liked the Mardi Gras colors and orientation. It is simple with menu on chalkboard. Salads are fresh and tasty. I liked the Reuben and sauerkraut. It is a casual lunch place and people come in as groups or single. The seating is pick your own. Dessert is up on counter as you order so pick one before they are gone. read more

While planning a trip that took my wife and me through Batesville, I reviewed Yelp to get an idea of where we may want to stop for lunch. We decided to try Natalie's. The previous reviews were spot on. There is plenty of parking available. The restaurant frontage is inviting. The dining area is comfortable and nicely decorated. Based on the decorations, the owners must be from New Orleans. Meal orders were taken at the counter and delivered to our table. I had a turkey panini with a tomato basil pasta salad side. My wife had a veggie panini with a cucumber and tomato salad. We shared a slice of Italian cream cake. Everything we had was excellent. If I find myself in Batesville again, I will definitely eat there again. There are many items on the menu that made my meal choice difficult. read more

The food is not bad, but nothing to rave about. Popular with locals. Staff is far from "warm and fuzzy" ...almost make you feel like your really not welcome. Really dislike the way food is served. You have to walk up to the counter to place your order, then get your own drinks, and find yourself a table. No silverware on the table, so be sure and get a straw if you want to add sweetener to your tea. The closest thing you get to a waiter is the gal that drops your food on the table and runs away. No sense of connection here to your server or the staff. Given that they seem well staffed, why not let folks come in, sit down, relax, look at the menu and place an order with a waiter that meets you with a smile and makes you feel welcomed and cared about? read more

I had meatloaf, hash brown casserole, and green beans. It was good, but for the price using catsup as the sauce on the top was a bit disappointing. My wife had a chicken salad panini with corn chips and a corn dip. The corn dip was good, but the chicken salad was lack luster. Very friendly place with nice open eating arrangements. Seemed there were several "regulars" in line with us which is always encouraging. Was nice having tables like you would find at a family members home and not the same industrial tables found at most other restaurants. First impression of the Reuben before eating was it looked good albeit a little lite. I'll call it the healthy Reuben. Still very good as it were. Likely my fault for getting a Reuben in a Cajun/New Orleans inspired restaurant. Live and learn. The mac and cheese was a little bland but was heavy and made up for the Reuben lite. My next trip to town would I try again? Yeah with the caveat, not for the Reuben or Mac and cheese. read more

A chicken breast stuffed with potato & cheese. It was great, green beans were a little too sweet for me although it had a good flavor. Service is great and fast! I do not live anywhere near here and have no real need or desire to ever return to Batesville, except for this restaurant. It is delicious, reasonably priced, and fresh ingredients. Everything is homemade and cooked with precision and care. The owner and staff are super friendly. The first time I came here I got the chicken salad and it is honestly unlike any chicken salad I have ever eaten. It made me rethink my dislike of salads! The subsequent times (we went 4 times in one week) I had a mixture of the daily special and whatever was recommended to me. None of it disappointed. If you are passing through Batesville and looking for a good, local restaurant, I would definitely recommend Natalie's. read more

Stopped in today and we had the open face roast pork sandwich. The pork was a little sweet. I had the Cajun chicken salad as a side and it didn't taste at all like Cajun, I was also a little sweet. My wife had green beans has her side and they were so sweet she couldn't eat them. read more
