Now im thinking i should have just gone in coughing and sneezing to share with everyone. The phone receptionist was rude from the begining with her tone of voice informing me that I would get a 50.00 charge because i didnt call over the weekend and leave a voice mail or text telling a machine that I was sick and had to cancel my 4:00 appointment for the following monday. This made no sense to me and i questioned why calling when they were closed would have been better than calling in the am the day of. Regardless of the silly policy, she argued with me like I was a child and was doing something wrong and needed reprimanded. Then she said i was yelling at her which was impossible because i had a raw, hoarse voice from coughing all weekend. I work in the medical field and when my patient calls off due to illness, i voice concern for their well being, i do not berate them for not knowing or understanding their policy. She made me feel like I was a child and I do not appreciate that from someone who is the face and voice of a respected practice.

It was around 2:30 p.m. and an average amount of patients. were waiting to see their doctors. It seemed they flowed in and out easily and my wait wasn't long. The tech named Jennifer who did my eye exams was personable and really nice. She was easy to talk to and fun to be with. I had to wait in the waiting room while my eyes dilated for about 20 minutes, but it was well worth the wait to keep healthy eyes. Dr. Joseph Harman was very well groomed and professional. I was relieved to know I didn't have a serious problem and hope to return next year for a recheck. Thank you Dr. Harman and your wonderful staff.. My only suggestion is bring someone to drive you home if your eyes are dilated. I didn't need sunglasses as it was raining today, but if it's sunny out take them.

This is being reported to the ADA BBB and IDPH for abandonment of care. Thank you for your DIS service to my child. They are now refusing to see my child.

If you want a doctor and staff who are committed to helping you be the best you can be this is the place to go. I learn something new every time I leave an appointment! For example, I had lots of knee pain and Kim Kish suggested testing my calcium level - and found I was very low. We added a calcium supplement and I got results quickly and my pain is gone! Wow, I had gone to a bone dr for the severe knee pain (I was limping) and he did tests, suggested couple rest for several weeks and then told me I needed to take an anti-inflammatory on a regular basis and I would probably still have pain at times and would need to watch my exercise, take it easy and ice my knee when in pain. Way better to take calcium and no anti-inflammatory! Honestly, I have gone back to regular exercise and pain never stops me now. Thanks, Kim Kish! I have also seen Dr. Rohde and can tell you he really listens to you - and he treats the whole person, not just one symptom. I finally got my husband to change to him and one the first visit Kim told him how to help lower his blood sugar by watching white potatoes, white bread and white rice. He's nowhere near deabetes but he listened to her and is taking her advice. His previous dr never told him anything like that. Another example that Dr. Rohde and his staff listen to the patient. And on top of all this, I never sit in the outer office or the exam room for an extended amount of time - usually in and out within 45 minutes. Will never leave Dr. Rohde and Kim Kish!
