I have been going to Dr. Pedraza for a few years, twice a year. Due to a condition that I have it is necessary to visit my regular dentist twice a year also. Dr. Predraza and her staff are always pleasant, professional, compassionate, and accommodating. The manner in which she interacts with her staff seems to create a great working environment where there is open communication. Yesterday it was necessary to have some oral surgery. I arrived approximately five minutes before the appointed time and was in the treatment room approximately two minutes later. When I took the chair, I noticed that my file was on the computer screen and everything was ready for the procedure. Dr. P told me everything she intended to do, and began the process to numb the area. As anyone who has had to be 'numbed' knows it is typically not a pleasant experience. She told me that my tongue would not get numb - and it didn't! Amazingly the only area that seemed to be numb was where she was to do the procedure. During the procedure there was never any discomfort of any type. I was amazed. The ongoing communication with her assistant was encouraging - as they worked as a team. She was also describing what she was doing for the benefit of her assistant and me. Once the procedure was complete, she discussed with me the post-surgery care, as did her assistant. I also received a detailed set of printed instructions. Having been through many dental procedures in my nearly 68 years, I can without reservation assert that this was the best experience I have ever had. P.S. I am writing this approximately 18 hours after the procedure. Other than a prescribed medication for inflammation I do not need any pain medication. AMAZING!! read more

My experience with Dr. Pedraza and her staff has been as wonderful as a visit to a dentist/oral surgeon can be. She is very patient and caring and even told the little white lie that I was being a wonderful patient, which I know is not true. She gives patients a cell phone number through which they can reach her directly after hours. She is very understanding of the normal fear response that occurs when needles and dental instruments are entering the mouth and is very careful to make sure the patient is properly numbed before continuing with a procedure. My daughter was so nervous to get her frendectomy. Dr Pedraza put her at easy, talked her through everything that was going to happen before she began. She told her what to expect for pain and comforted her afterward when my child was a little shaky. My daughter said she talked and asked her questions throughout (I'm assuming to keep her mind off of what was happening!). My daughter just loved her. I did too. She is great at her job and the Doctors chair side manner is amazing. read more

I just had my first visit to this office. The staff and Dr. Pedraza were all very friendly, and helpful. Dr. Pedraza was very thorough in her exam, and explained everything in detail. She found a cavity that my regular dentist missed, only a week earlier. She referred me to a dentist, since I didn't want to return to my last one. I will be returning to Dr Pedraza for a couple procedures, and I feel completely confident in her ability to take care of my issues. read more

Took a 1/4 inch a gum with no warning, a front tooth. Kept me waiting an hour and a half, said they would charge me 250$ if I left. I felt she rushed, gave assistant too much to do, took a phone call, told me it was a surgical cleaning of the one tooth area, but made many incisions. I have before pictures, and after. The insurance gave me back some money but no where near the damage done. She proceded with no records from other doctors or a referal. read more

If you don't like going to the dentist,have bad gums, get frequent infections and constantly struggle with problems with your teeth, then you need to see Dr. Pedraza. She will come up with a plan to get you a healthy mouth! She is intelligent, has state of the art equipment and technology, a wonderful staff, and is very helpful, friendly and kind! Wonderful friendly staff, and Dr Maggie is very knowledgeable but able to explain it in a way that is understandable. She did a tissue graft on me that was less painful during the procedure than a fillIng, she is very gentle and explains everything as she's doing it. I'm an anxious mess when it comes to dental work so thank you for making my experience more than tolerable. read more

They explained again what was going to happen with a complicated tooth removal, implant and restoration crown. Dr Maggie is a fantastic Periodontist. Always very professional and courteous, and if you need implants, gum work done, or even a tooth pulled, she is gentle and painless. Was told Pedraza doesn't believe it's in her best interest to treat Disabled Veterans. Would highly recommend finding another provider and not support her business. If she doesn't feel it's in her best interest to treat Veterans, the community of Decatur, IL should not use her has a provider. read more
