Aspen Dental Forsyth, IL repaired a set made by prior dentist 7/2/2018 which continued to function fine until needing replaced. Aspen makes first new new set 11/10/2020 with 3 separate adjustments, need to be remade as they caused issues and abscesses while fitting horribly. Make second set 2/4/2021, need to have multiple adjustments (8) with multiple abscesses treated by Aspen as well as several trips to Express care for treatment. Dentist remakes again 11/15/23. 13 adjustments, multiple abscesses, a nasopalatine duct cyst removed surgically 7/23/2024 at Carle in Champaign, IL and now Aspen says they will not help me anymore, period. They immediately offered to reimburse all parties with out question. I've been instructed by oral surgeon to find a different provider but need to allow 2 months to allow bone and tissue healing from abscessed area. I have been unable to wear these continuously misfitted dentures all to frequently. I do a fair amount of public speaking, when I was lucky enough to have dental institution with competent compassionate dental professionals. These are not available at this building. I'm paying Dr bills to treat issues caused by Aspen. Over the curse (*intentional) of their service I have continuously complained about fit and comfort and it falls on absolutely deaf ears, as is evidenced in my 36 separate dental appoints just since 11/10/2020 to get a fitting set of functional dentures. Additionally, the situation in oral health has greatly compromised a total left hip replacement, not to mention greatly diminished quality and function of a normal life and appears I have little legal recourse. read more

I made an emergency appointment and was able to be seen that morning. That was a plus considering I was swollen and in a lot of pain. The wait time in the lobby was over an hour from the time I arrived (including 15 minutes before my appt to fill out paperwork) which I wasn't thrilled about. I seen person after person go in before me. I'm thinking they actually forgot about me because no one is saying anything. I asked how much longer it would be after about 40 minutes or so and was told I would be next. Nope, not next, another 2 go in before I do. Ugh I'm in pain and if I wasn't I would have walked out. I was in the lobby for well over an hour and 15 minutes! Not good Finally I get called back! Thank goodness. Now that I'm being seen I felt they took their time with me and all the staff I encountered were friendly, answered any questions I had. They also explained once I was in the back, how they only had one Dr. Seeing patients that day and they apologized for the long wait When it came time for payments I was in shock to see the bill. I felt it was really high (it was, however most of the things listed on there I didn't receive so I wasn't paying for it) The final bill looked much better and affordable. They were going to charge me for cleaning that I hadn't received yet but covers future visits. Personally, I just want to pay for services rendered, not 6 months from now so I felt that was a little strange. Was told to arrive 15 minutes early, 8:00 appointment. Arrive 25 minutes early, wait, expecting doors to open at 7:45. No, they open at 8, so I tell them it doesn't do any good to get here early if we can't get in until 8. Simultaneously, the two girls at reception say they don't open their doors until 8. Their answering system says their hours are 7-5, the door says 8-6. The rudeness continued through check in, up to and including "I don't see you on the schedule". My husband had an 8 o'clock appointment and they open at 8, so far 3 others have been called back before him. My husband has Humana PPO and unfortunately this was the closest dentist that is covered (42 miles) to where we live. If he didn't have a tooth that needed looked at today, I'd walk out and extend my search to 150 miles or find an alternative dental coverage to avoid this place at all costs in the future!!! And he STILL hasn't been back to see the dentist, 8:44 now. I had heard bad things about Aspen dental before, I was hoping that since this is in a different location, the staff might be better than what I have heard about the others. No such luck! If you like a pushy dentist who likes to drain your wallet than Aspen is where you should go!!!! Let me tell you what I have just went through!!!!! So I went in for them to look at my teeth. Just that alone with no insurance cost me around $125. They do X-rays and then measure my gums and I get 2,3,4 numbers. The dental hygienist about shoves a toothbrush,toothpaste, and mouthwash offer down my throat that I said NO to and didn't think she was gonna take no for an answer. She made me feel like my teeth are about to rot out of my skull and I need a two step cleaning right away! Dentist comes in after saying I have gingivitis and just need a cleaning, No cavities. So i go to the office area to talk about the next steps. I am told for the two step cleaning its around 500 bucks. I cant make an appointment unless I out 200 down. I go ahead and 200 down to make the appointment...which is insane you have to put money down to make an appointment....I am so frustrated the next day I call a local dentist known for honesty in the area that was recommended to me after Aspen. That office told me for them to look at my teeth with no insurance....48 bucks. And they said with my numbers 2,3,4.....I would prob just need regular cleaning that's only one office visited. They said they highly recommend I get a second opinion. Pretty much ASPEN is a total rip off. So back into ASPEN I go. I tell the office worker I called another dentist and I want a second opinion. I would like to cancel my appointment. Her WHOLE face changes. She is not the overly nice person I had spoke to days before. She gets on the computer and says its cancelled and almost acts like she is trying to ignore me. I say WAITTTTT...i PAID 200 bucks for that. Don't I get that back. She is like oh well I am gonna have to submit a request for that and it will take 7-10 business days for it to show on your bank statement. So if I wouldn't have said anything would you have not submitted a request? I then ask for X-rays and the numbers I was given for the gums. She gives me the Xrays but starts giving me excuses for the gum readings. If they even had them?!?!?! I get my x-ray readings and she hands them over and turns around and ignores me....like like ok...bye I think?!?!? so RUDE! I wanted to look at the people in the waiting room and whisper...run! This place is a joke! We shall see if I get my money back. If I don't they will see me right back there NOT HAPPY. Trust me. Don't go here. Just go to a local dentist in your area. Aspen will try and suck you for all the money they can get. I honestly don't think they even care about the people they are serving! At least get a second opinion before scheduling an appointment. and from the other reviews I'm sure Aspen will comment some mediocre comment on here and about my refund which from what I am seeing...I prob won't get back. Which angers me because that money could easily be used for formula and diapers for my infant! Update: just got back from a local dentist and WOW. first off I did get my refund in about a week of waiting. I went to this other dentist and the xrays Aspen gave me they said we're very poor quality. Also said it's my right to have those gum readings. they redid my gum readings and I didn't get anything over a 3 when Aspen said 4. when Aspen did the gum measurements they said I had 4s. I am positive they forced those 4s since I was almost in tears when Aspen did it and so bloody and could hardly feel it at this dentist. Aspen said I needed a deep cleaning of two visits...this dentist said I needed just a normal cleanings and did everything I needed in one visit....Aspen told me my cleaning would be 480 on top of the 120ish I paid just to be looked at..so 600 bucks..this dentist chraged me 200 for everything......ASPEN IS A JOKE! read more

I went in today to get 3 wisdom teeth and 2 molars extracted. I was terrified, but they prescribed me Valium which completely erased my anxiety. I was in and out in under and hour! It was painless and easy. All the staff at the Forsyth, IL location are AMAZING! I've been terrified of going to the dentist's my whole life..... until I found this place... they're a Godsend! read more

It's Danette & I just want to Thank the staff for working so hard on my temp crown. It's still on tonight! Mind you I am eating soft foods until tomorrow. But the temp crown looks great in the front of my mouth. Had it not been for all your hard work & continued attempts to make it right I would not look so good. I will do my best NOT to abuse the crown so it lasts. For everyone who does not know I needed a front crown replaced. A difficult crown because of my bite. But due to the perseverance of the Doctor & her assistant (I am sorry I never got your name) I have a beautiful front temp. I had to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time before seeing anybody. This is unusual but for made this was a big problem. At the end of the visit though Christie was wonderful and when she realized how late I was running let me leave and call the next day with the required information. Doctors were changed on me without my notice. The male doctor was very nice but I would've preferred Dr. V. My Husband and I both had appointments the same day. He needed a filling fixed, talk about a partial and a cleaning, I as well needed the same. Our Dentist retired a couple months before so we both had regular cleaning and dental work done as needed. They took us back and did x-rays and exams and said they needed us to go into a room and talk with a financial specialist. We said ok are we going to get our teeth cleaned and or a filling fixed. The girl said we needed to talk with financial specialist first. When we got in there she presented us with separate bills mine for 1700+ hundred my husbands for over 2000. We was for what, they said because you both need deep cleaning and you both have infections under your gums, a cancer screening, electric tooth brush and on and on. We were like no we just need to have the stuff done we asked for. They refused unless we agreed to follow there recommendations. All of this and 3hrs later, My Husband and I walked out filling like we robbed. I will never return and I will defiantly will never recommend them. I still don't know what they billed my insurance for, guess I will find out later. read more

I have had my dentures over 4 yrs now. Yes, I have been in for some minor difficulties I consider normal. When I have come in, all staff have been excellent, friendly, very helpful, & timely service. They have a convenient payment plan that we have added additional services when needed by my wife. Dr.V has been very good to us, she even brought her wedding album in for us to look at when we asked about it. All is well & good. :-))) read more
