Post hospitalization visit for my son as my son's primary provider was on vacation. The folks at this office are always friendly and attentive. Dr. Baldo read the notes and answered my questions. She made a good first impression and I am glad to get that hospital and post hospitalization experience over with good results. Baldo is Horrible human being. Even a worse  doctor. ABSOLUTELY NO SOUL !!!!  Why would anyone see this person?  I seen her years ago when she was at the South Virginia office by El Polo Loco. (She's at the Sharlards office now). I didn't like her what so ever. Now she's proved herself to be the worse ever at that St. Mary's location by screwing with my wife's health by refusing to fill her medications, when, not only she's established at that office for a very long time. Everyone keeps leaving like the last person she seen for maternity reasons. Now down to 2 or 3, people, I believe, Baldo is one of the 3. Jen iis the best. I don't know if there is another APN or doctor there now.. In the past when other people my wife and I were seeing, others there filled her meds and mine, even at the old ION location. I would not recommend seeing Dr. Baldo. I went to establish care and discuss ongoing problems i'd been having for over a year and she did not spend any time talking to me about any of it. I felt ignored and did not receive any care. She was with me for all of 3 minutes during my visit and then sent me to get a blood panel with no information on how to do that or where. I had to explicitly ask and check on whether I should book a follow up appointment. He nurse called me to give me very brief results and tell me to take OTC medications. There was no discussion or talk about follow ups. Her care quality is why so many people don't get the care they need and don't come back until their conditions have gotten much worse. I saw Dr. Baldo twice and will not be returning. She provided superficial healthcare, showed little interest in preventive medicine, and completely dismissed my health concerns. Rather than working with me to optimize my health and develop strategies to prevent the onset of chronic illness, as indicated by my lab results, she was dismissive and unresponsive. She does not listen well, failed to notify me of abnormal lab results, and did not reply to my message. So I hadn't seen Dr. Baldo in over a year because the last experience I had wasn't that great but I knew my thyroid was acting up so I went to go see her anyway. I schedule an appointment, get there early, fill out the paperwork, pay my ridiculous copay and wait for I'd say about 45 minutes until I'm taken back to a room. Then her nurse asks me questions and says Dr. Baldo would be with me in a moment. I end up waiting another 15 minutes until she comes in and I tell her my symptoms and how I'm worried and all she says is "mm, okay" and tells me she wants me to get blood work done to check my thyroid levels. I asked her to not send a refill of my prescription as I already know my dose needs to change. She sends it anyway and I was very low on my prescription as it was so I went and paid for it anyway. A couple of days later I get a call about my blood work results and sure enough my dose needs to be changed, so I basically wasted $40 for a 90 day prescription she prescribed. Fast forward to around February or so of this year and I get this little gem in the mail. She's charging me for a "behavioral assessment" when I only interacted with her for about 5 minutes and I had scheduled a check up appointment because she hadn't contacted me to reschedule like she said she would so I took it upon myself. She said she wanted to see me 6 weeks after this appointment and it's been well past that and I still haven't gotten a call or any form of contact. This woman is a joke. I just had the most horrible experience I think I've ever had in my life! I wish I could give zero stars as this doctor does not even deserve one star. I do not think I have ever felt so disregarded in my life. Dr. Baldo has zero compassion, care, or time to even listen to a patient for more than 4 minutes. A person should never be made to feel so small when all the want to do is figure out what is wrong. Hence why even go to a doctor?! I have gotten more compassion from my auto mechanic. Dr Baldo has been my PCP for about 3 years. It is fairly easy to schedule an appointment with Dr Baldo (I have never had to wait over 3 days). Dr Baldo's office staff efficiently files insurance forms (I have private insurance). Dr Baldo is good at working with my my other Specialists (within the St Marys system) & always reviews the medication and notes with me while I am in the office. Dr Baldo has also recommended maintenance items like the "shingles" and "pneumococcal" shots which is appreciated (since those are age specific). read more

I'm very pleased with Dr Baldo, she, unlike nearly all other doctors, takes medicare patients (thankfully) and has gone out of the way to accommodate me with short notice appointments over the years. I know she genuinely cares and always takes the time to thoroughly review symptoms, medications, diagnosis, etc.... I cannot imagine seeing any other doctor. Honestly i've never met such a horrible doctor. My girlfriend has been going to this doctor for awhile and she feels like they don't care about her at all. Out of nowhere they stopped providing her the birth control that she was on and demanded her to come in and have an appointment before they can renew it. After she had setup an appointment when she got there they said that they didn't have her in the system and couldn't see her that day. Oh wait i forgot to mention that they didn't say anything until she literally had less than a week left of her current birth control. Also she had gone to see her doctor for some small warts on her leg. After they had healed from freezing them the scars where 3 to 4 times bigger than the warts it self. If she knew that the scars would be so bad she wouldn't get them removed because they weren't even that big of a deal for her. But after we confront the doctor about it she made the excuse that everyone reacts differently. She wouldn't have done it if they actually took the time to explain the risks of scars worse than the warts like seriously???? What a trash doctor. read more

The good: I was able to get an appointment within a week. The Bad: The front desk chick treated me like cattle I was asked to be there 30 minutes prior to my appointment but I was seen 30 minutes AFTER my appointment. My encounter with the doc lasted under 5 minutes. She seemed lost and had no idea why I was there. Luckily I was only there to get test results and I didn't actually need her medical opinion, I can't imagine how that would go down. The sad truth is - Reno has a shortage of doctors and she is the only one I found taking new patients. it is what it is and I can only hope I won't need her often. read more

Had the worst experience with Dr. Baldo got 3 years. First year I met with her, she didn't look happy at all, I gave her a piece of paper so she knew about my medical history from my gynecologist and said no words about it. I asked to get a blood test ordered and she went out of the room, I was basically waiting for her to come back after 20 minutes, she came back and noticed I was still in the room. That was a red flag there so I didn't come back to her a whole year after that Then I decided to go back, I had a checkup but I also had a concern about my right ear so she check and said I might have allergies, she ordered a new blood test since I never did the last one, as a week went by after the blood test, I get a call that I need to come in so the nurse to explain to me that baldo was going to put me on cholesterol meds, at the time I was about 27 (doctors shouldn't be putting young people on stuff like that at) A year passed by, September 2017 I believe it was, sane check up and same problem with my ear, she came in, she didn't check my heart like doctors are supposed to do (red flag their), I told her about my ear and she just brushed it off, didn't check my ear She was more concern with her concerns about my weight I ended up going to a new place with better doctors who have knowledge about giving young people medications read more

On top of being incredibly rude, the front desk doesn't answer the phone, EVER, and also neglect to call back, when you do get a hold of them, they are unhelpful and don't work with you. All the issues I was having with my prescription were made to feel like it was my fault. With Dr. Baldo, she refuses to listen to her patient's needs, and does it all with no bedside manner. With the general issues I've had with her, the icing on the cake was being forgotten about in an exam room while waiting on test results, only being found when someone else walked in to clean the room at closing and had a scare when she saw someone was actually still waiting... Dr. Baldo walked in 2 minutes after I was found. STAY AWAY FROM DR. BALDO. You think I'll get a call back after this? All I need is a prescription refilled!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I saw this doctor for two years. Every visit she was cold, abrasive and focused solely on my weight, never answering questions or even attempting to find any issue other than my need to lose 30 lbs. The last straw was a well woman visit at which not a single question was addressed, I wasn't even given an opportunity to ask the actual doctor after expressing a concern to her medical assistant. The doctor entered, did a papa smear and walked out WITHOUT A WORD! I left feeling violated and when my results were received I got a call that literally was "your result was normal." And then the woman hung up. I have worked in a medical office for 17 years and would never treat a patient that way. Despicable patient care, horrible bedside manner, could of and disconnected from her patients. My advice is to seek treatment elsewhere for sure. read more

Dr. Baldo completely disregarded my concern for my dad's hard of breathing. She wasn't on top of his medications that he needed to take even if it was over the counter. I waited over an hour with my dad to see the doctor and she told me that there was a little bit of scarring in his lungs but nothing of great concern. I had to take him to the EMERGENCY ROOM yesterday because there was too much fluid in his lungs that needed to be flushed. Also found out that his heart was working at only 25% even though she knew he had an enlarged heart. She hasn't referred him to the cardiologist since 2016 when it was working at 40%. They sent me back-and-forth to LabCorp and Saint Mary's downtown for his bloodwork and EKG but nothing came back. I asked her for the information for the cardiologist so she only gave me a trunk line for the St. Mary's cardiology department. She had no idea which specialist he had to go to. When I addressed the hard of breathing at the appointment last week, she said " well he's not breathing hard now." So she completely dismissed it. She made me feel crazy for a showing concern of his breathing, and it turns out he was practically drowning in his own fluids. All of this could've been prevented had she showed any sort of concern. I will take my incident to a medical board for her negligence. read more

Dr. Baldo is awesome. She literally saved my life. I went to her about 1 1/2 years ago feeling horrible. She did blood work and called me the next morning telling me to drop everything and go to the ER. I had diabetic ketoacedosis, the ICU doctor told me I had days to live, he estimated two to three. My A1c was 18, by blood sugar was over 600, and my triglycerides were 2605. After working with me on diet and medication, I am now off insulin completely. My A1c is 5.3, my blood sugar is 100 to 110, my triglycerides are 85. She has not hesitated sending me for extra tests and has me back on track. She is warm and welcoming when ever I see her. I show up on time for appointments and have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. I can thank Dr. Baldo for being alive today. read more

Unprofessional front desk staff. My appointment was for 9:00, "check in" at 8:45. I am not a new patient, so it takes two minutes to fill out paperwork, so I got there 8:52. Front desk staff said I was almost 10 minutes late, so not sure if I could be seen. I said I was actually early, as my appointment was for 9:00. She had to "check" to make sure it was okay! Dr. Bardo runs hot and cold with her knowledge and interpersonal skills. Usually frustrated when I walk out. Not a good experience. read more

Horrible customer service from the front office staff and schedulers. I called a week ago (wednesday)to schedule an appointment for a hospital discharge and was informed I needed to get a call back from a hospital discharge coordinator within 24 hrs to schedule that appointment. I called back friday, two days after to find out if i could schedule and i was told i needed to wait and that it could take 48hrs. It is now tuesday and i have yet to receive a phone call. On that same friday i was able to make an appointment for an eval that was supposed to be scheduled today and we show up to no appointment scheduled. A very indifferent doctor, who is ALWAYS 45 min. late, and it doesn't matter whether or not you are early. She's consistently late by about 45 minutes, but the office protocol is that if you are 15 minutes late, you get to pay a fee and must reschedule. The front office people are also quite indifferent as well as loud when talking with each other. Rather unprofessional. Taking everything in mind such as the doctor's indifference, the office staff's unprofessional behavior and the awful tardiness of the doctor herself, a visit to her office is simply a very bad experience. read more

Dr. Baldo is the worst in the entire St. Mary's medical network. She has no clue on how to treat diabetics or even has a care in the world about her patients. I wanted to find another doctor because she was completely non compliant in treating my diabetes after suffering a heart attack, and she discharged me from the entire network so I cant see a doctor to be treated because she couldn't do her job as a physician. My appointment was 10 minutes long and it was her playing a guessing game on how to treat me and wanted to pass the buck immediately for her lack of competence. She is hard to understand because of her thick accent and doesn't care about her patients, shes only in it for the insurance money. I would highly reccomend you chose another doctor unless you dont really care about your treatment because that's what your going to get from this fraud. She is impersonal and rude and doesn't listen to you at all then hides behind her incompetence and lies on her reports. She is dangerous to your health and disgusting on every level. I wish I could only give her a 1/10 of 1 star! The most absolute worse doctor on the face of the planet ever. She is absolutely worthless. I can give you a dozen examples, but I can say she that she does whatever she feels like doing regardless or your issues. She doesn't listen at all to anything at all that you have to say. She just wants to check your blood pressure & charge you for a office visit without doing anything. She refuses to help people that have any ailments besides the basic cold. Her office forces you to fill out a stupid survey about depression that asks "Have you ever been sad 1 day in your life?" so if you say yes, then the doctor will prescribe a anti-depressant and IGNORE all other of your real ailments! Don't waste your time, find someone else. She is a nightmare. I hate this doctor & can't believe that she even is a doctor. Dr. Baldo really is great! Probably one of the kindest primary care doctors I've ever seen! She was completely non-judgmental of me. She listen to everything I was concerned about and addressed more things than what I asked her to! She really was wonderful!! She was straight to the point and she works very quickly but I think that is due to her skills and knowledge. In my opinion it's a very strong quality and I don't view it as if she has a lack of interest in me or my concerns! I would recommend her to my dearest friends and family! read more
