6/10/2024- Had a…read morefollow up with my nurse practitioner I've been seeing for over five plus years.. Follow up was to go ver the results of my thyroid biopsy and also my echocardiogram .. (over two weeks ago-5/23).. Both results were a relief and no fluid around or near the heart.. and biopsy was benign.. My downgrade of stars- as much as I enjoy my NP over the years, I'm really disappointed with lack of response .. I anxiously awaited the results and even though I read them before it being viewed, I never heard back .. This happened late last year as well.. I called and left messages and no response. I think it's time for me to move on and will be seeing a new MD.. Hopefully, one that will respond in a timely fashion..

This is basically a concierge style medical practice that allows for a better option to see your physician when you need to. There is a cost associated to this level of service, but given the current healthcare climate, I think it is money well spent. This allows Dr. Smith to actually know what ailments you might have or how to maintain or improve your health. With the MDVIP program, Dr. Smith has an opportunity to know your name and your comprehensive health history, not just reading your chart. This is a very custom approach to medicine that you don't see in most doctors offices. The wait to see Dr. Smith is usually very short. If you call to set up an appointment, often times you can be seen the same day or the next day depending on his schedule. In most cases once you walk in, you will be directed to the separate waiting area for Dr. Smith's patients that includes bottled water, TV, and light healthy snacks. The longest I have had to wait is around five or 10 minutes. The nurse will come and get you, take you to an exam room, and talk about what the reason for your visit is and to take your vitals. Dr. Smith is generally prompt with his appointment times, and wastes little time getting to see you. I have been a patient of Dr. Paul Smith for several years and know he is a real person, and talks to you like a real person. He knows about you and your family, and how your health affects both. He enjoys athletic activities, and often shares stories of his recent adventures. He is passionate about the care he provides to his patients, and does everything he can to understand what ails them or how to improve their overall health. There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to interact with Dr. Smith with outdoor activities, cooking seminars, or trying new athletic activities to help provide alternatives to a sedentary lifestyle. She got both of us thru Covid, diagnosed an ulcer, treated the flu, referred my daughter to a great OBGYN when she needed to see a specalist. She is busy but she never makes you feel rushed. She asks questions and listens to what you have to say. She has had several MA's over the years that were all great but her current MA,Liz, is the absolute best. She has helped with FMLA paperwork as well as ADA paperwork. She can see your records from Renown so you do not have to be able to remember everything you have had done. She orders bloodwork when it is needed and will follow up with you when you call with any problems. When shes busy she will do a video call if she can't get you in the office. Now she's treating my husbands shingles. If you need a doctor who will take their time with you, learn your habits, treat your sysptoms, prescribe medication only when needed, you can't go wrong with De Angermann and the staff at Silver Sage Family Medicine.

Labs came back good- except my triglycerides were elevated..( my recent trip to Japan forced me to eat more rice and noodles ... lol).. Thank goodness I was the same weight as six months ago!.. My goal is to only see him once a year- but if I lower some of my numbers then he'll let me.. until the next visit in July.. He did give me some really good sources to help)..
