Dr. Jang and his hygienst are fine, but overall this place leaves a bad aftertaste, and not worth being a patient here. My experience lines up almost point for point with the other critical reviews here. I'd treat the 5-star reviews with a healthy dose of skepticism. A lot of them look like bots or paid placements.

For instance, when I had just arrived as a new patient and she was explaining that they screen everyone for sleep apnea, she gleefully informed me that she "was already seeing some signs!" that I had it. Telling someone you just met moments ago that they look like they have sleep apnea is objectively rude. (I do not have sleep apnea. I had simply been up late crying the night before!) Another example: she kept harassing me about the fact that I requested Covid precautions for my appointments. She repeatedly pressured me in a very loud and condescending, almost teasing, tone of voice to give some sort of health reason for these requests (even though I had filled out their in-depth health history form). I was simply too exhausted by this bullying to return for my next appointment. No patient--of any health status/background--should have to defend why they do not want to catch Covid or other airborne viruses at the dentist. Then they scheduled a normal appointment where I got X-rays and they went through them THOROUGHLY with me. They had me get a deep cleaning with laser which that plus my wisdom teeth surgery maxed out my insurance. As soon as my insurance was gone, Dr. Jawad all of a sudden found 5 more cavities on my X-rays and I was told this by the front desk, not her. Then when I asked for a call to understand, she would deflect and not answer my questions as to why she never told me about these cavities when we went over my X-rays. My old dentist in Richmond looked over my X-rays and found ZERO, and said based on them, the deep cleaning was unnecessary. They've already scammed me out of $1k for the deep cleaning out of pocket and tried to get another $1.4k for cavities I don't have. AVOID AVOID AVOID. They try to upcharge and sell procedures that are not fully necessary, and also refuse to give me my records.

Dr. Gul was excellent, providing thorough explanations of their approach to cleaning and care and asked me at least twice if I was experiencing any pain during my cleaning (I felt nothing!). Before and after the cleaning she explained why she was recommending X-rays and the three issues she'd identified, stating that she would confirm the level of urgency via the X-rays. The equipment used was modern and Dr. Gul provided a thorough assessment of my teeth and gums based on the X-rays. In the end, she explained that she would continue to monitor the situations vs. take immediate action and counseled me on how to avoid making things worse. This was so refreshing, as many dentists are often looking for ways to charge you for things you may or may not need. Dr. Gul's beside manner and that of her technician's was kind, warm, caring, and gentle. He gave me a custom built night guard. After 3 months I came back complaining that the nightguard was making things worse, changing my bite and making my teeth clench worse. Dr. Sbeih told me I am too young for botox (24yo) and that is the only treatment option, other than going back to my retainer (which I wore when I cracked the tooth)! He felt my masseter muscles and laughed and said it was crazy how large they are and how much I'm clenching. Called the nurse over to feel them too. This experience was so upsetting, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing. I practically begged him for some kind of treatment or relief and was laughed at and sent away. Trust me, I argued multiple times that if I go back to my retainer I'd crack another tooth. After this I cancelled all future appointments and was asked why via text, I replied to let them know how I felt... and never even got a response. This was 6 months ago, but I wanted to post my review now because the damage has been lasting and tremendous. I'm now seeing 3 different specialists for TMJ disorder and paying thousands trying to reverse months worth of damage that Dr. Sbeih has caused me. My quality of life is not the same.
