Most recent visit: Super convenient location with multiple parking spaces. Not to mention lots of local restaurants. As always grand desk staff is super professional and have smile on their faces. Another visit: Recently I have been having tooth ache and I decided to go to the dentist close to my work instead of coming to Dr. Zia. Let me tell you i learned my lesson. The other dentist gave me an outrageous estimate and told me I need root canal without even taking an X-ray. After seeing that I called Dr.Zia's office and told them I have been in pain. They were able to see me the same day and gave me meds for the pain, did the X-ray and thank God there was no infection Of any kind just a really bad tooth which was way cheaper than the other dentist. After a very traumatic experience with a previous dentist, that I'd been seeing for years, I neglected my teeth for over ten years. Having endured two broken teeth to the gum line for years and two other teeth giving me trouuble. I finally had to see someone as the pain had become unbearable. My sister had been trying to get me to see Dr Zia for a couple years. I called for an appointment and they saw me in a matter of days. Having x-rays and the exam, Dr Zia made an appointment for immediate root canal that day. Dulles dental is bringing me up to date with my dental needs. I had to get a second root canal, have had crowns for both. The two badly broken teeth have been extracted. Two other cavities. Am in the process for the two implants. I can't thank Dr. Zia and the rest of the team enough for all they've done. They never guilted me for the years of neglect and with everything I've had done there hasn't been any pain during the procedures. They have a patient for life. read more

If you're using care credit make sure they don't charge as a purchase because you'll be paying a lot more than you intended. They charged my card as a regular purchase when it should have been a promotional balance and they refuse to fix it or admit they made a mistake and they didn't offer any solution. I thought I found a good dentist but the front desk is incredibly incompetent and I'll never to be able to trust them again. They basically conned me out of hundred of dollars. read more

The dentists are great! George is phenomenal. I am giving this place a 1 star review because of the front desk associates. They called to confirm my appointment three times and once over text. The last call, they asked "are you sure you want to confirm?". I thought this was weird. An hour before my appointment they called me to cancel my appointment. They knew the entire time and were hoping I wouldn't confirm. Anyways, I asked to be rescheduled the following week at the same time. They said it's all done. Turns out there was no rescheduling and now I have to wait a month before another appointment. There has also been multiple issues here with billing but they were fixed once I called them out. This practice was amazing. My first visit to this practice since moving to metro DC. I was having trouble finding the right practice until I came here. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists (George is not only the best hygienist I've ever had, but he's got a positive vibe that's infectious in the best way), and Dr. Zia was on point with his care (in office procedures, exam and any referrals as needed). Don't let the unassuming location allow you to overlook this great practice. Updated. After my 1st appointment, they didn't have time to finish in my scheduled slot. So I had to make another appointment. I had an item made for me and was told they would call when it was ready. After three weeks of not hearing from them, I called and the receptionist told me she would call me back the next day. A week later I had heard nothing so I called back again. No thrilled with them past the first visit. It's possible they are just very busy because they are a good office, but the verdict is still out. (Original) Wound up here as a referral from my insurance. They helped me transfer from my old dental office. The receptionists were helpful. Dr. Bae gave me options for the procedures, they reviewed my billing options for each treatment process. Today was my first visit to this dental practice. From the moment I entered to the moment I left, I found the personnel to be warm and inviting. But, my most pleasant surprise was George! He examined and cleaned my teeth and for the first time ever, I felt NO pain. I am an anxious patient with very sensitive teeth and gums. I want to give a very loud shout out to Dr Z and his staff, specifically the "Boss Lady" of the Dulles Dental Group (DDG) in Centreville. On Saturday, 10/17/2020, I was eating corn on the cob when unexpectedly one of my front teeth broke off. It had a crown due to being hit by a grenade launcher when I was in the Army more than 30 years ago. My wife was in horror by the view of me having a front tooth missing. I couldn't even pronounce words right! I called DDG that day that night thinking no one would get in touch with me until Monday. To my surprise, the "Boss Lady" contacted me that same night and told me to come in on Monday 10/17 at 0800 hrs to make assessment. Office hours start at 0900 hrs, so they came in early just to work with me because the Office was booked for the day. I went in a little bit earlier and the "Boss Lady" and Dr Z started working on me and like magic, my tooth was built up ready for an Implant to come. My family and I have lived in VA for over seven years and have had just as many dentists until we found Dr. Zia and Dulles Dental Group. What I am is saying is that l'm very selective and this office and it's staff checked all the boxes. From Lisa in reception to George and Tiffany as hygienists to finally the master craftsman Dr. Zia as their leader. My family and I will look no further for great care, done in a timely manner and in a very professional way. I was so impressed that I brought my 80 year old mother here from Ohio to plan and execute an over-denture. Lisa took care of my insurance claims, worked with me on payment options and kept me informed of the process all along the way. Tiffany, who assisted with preparations, oral surgery and recovery has treated my mom like her very own grandmother and my mom loves her. This can be a long and difficult process but so far it has been seemless and my mother enjoys going to the office to see "the girls" and Dr. Zia, whom she says has the gentlest hands and warmest smile of any dentist she's seen. I came in once with an emergency 8 months ago (they didn't take my insurance) but they saw me anyway and fixed me up! Now I have a different insurance provider that they accept (yay!), so I went back for my first cleaning and exam yesterday. George is great! Zia is great! They're all great! I love this team! This is a re -write. This is my experience hope yours was or will be better.  I had 2 bridges put on a year and 3 months ago. I had to remove a different tooth and the dentist told me to go and have one of the bridges checked. I returned to the practice on 10/ 26 to have the tooth checked was told it will be good for many more years to come. The tooth holding the bridge broke from near the gum line on December 26th 2 months later. I also have to add they told me insurance would cover the cost of the bridge(I had 2 done there all out of pocket) and they did not cover a penny and had to pay the whole amount out of pocket. Their solution pay full price for another bridge!!! After complaining agreed to a discount At this point I feel I was lied to many times. I was lied to when told insurance would cover 50% of the cost. I was lied to when told these bridges last for years. I was lied to again when I had them check it before it broke. Needless to say I will not be returning to this practice. After looking around it will cost me $10000 to replace the lost teeth (implants). The second Bridge I am told is about to break any time as well. Thanks Dulles Dental Group. Other thing that has me puzzled is they would not let me take the broken bridge. Making up an excuse need it to make a mold!!! How would you make a mold from a broken bridge??? It is interesting dentists want their money but what is a guarantee?? How much is a Tooth worth? First of all I am deathly afraid of the dentist. I can only have dental work while under nitrous oxide or out all together. Yes, a real sissy. The first time I went to Dr. Zia Ahmadzada at Dulles Dental Group I somehow was under the impression that nitrous oxide was available if requested. When Dr. Z and I spoke and he thoroughly explained how he would be proceeding and he promised I wouldn't feel anything, I gave him a really hard time. He asked that I give him one chance and if I felt any pain he would stop. For the first time in my life I can now go to the Dentist and feel relaxed and confident I am in the best hands there are in NoVa. Dr. Z is kind, caring, and remarkable in his field. The patient comes first at all times. His staff is wonderful, from the office personnel to the dental assistants. It's not just a dental office it's a place I can go for the best dental care available from the people who care the most about me. I will never go anywhere else. read more

before getting dental care the dental group provided me with a treatment plan indicating the total fees would be $948 with $728 coming from insurance and $220 coming from me --I paid my share the day of the treatment --when they billed the insurance company the insurance company paid them more than the treatment plan stated. Insurance paid them a total of $959 --so now they have received $959 plus my $220 for a total of $1,168. Because, the insurance company paid them more the EOB said my share was higher ($220 up to $330)--now the Dental practice is charging me more based on the EOB--I believe the treatment plan was a contract with me on the total fees--I undestand if the insurance was less than planned I woud have to pay the differnace but since they got more insurance than planned I believe them trying to charge me more is fraud and a breach of the agreement laid out in the treatment plan read more

I am a brand new patient, and have been looking for a new dentist for over a year. I came today, for the first time to Dr. Zia, at Dulles Dental Group. (Don't be fooled - they actually are in the Westfields Shopping Center.) They were all great -- friendly and competent -- the perfect combination! I was greeted cheerfully by Stephanie, who set the warm tone for the office. The paperwork was not too lengthy, as it is in some offices. Dr. Zia spent time with me to find out what my dental needs or concerns were, which was very nice to get to know my new dentist. Maricela did my X-rays carefully, and was friendly throughout. Then Dr. Zia took pictures, and showed me actual photos of my teeth! He explained my treatment plan, and what he recommended to be done, in a clear and caring manner.
