My visit with Dr Rohini Banavar DMD. I have travelled About 60 countries in the past while working for United Nations and have been to numerous Dental clinics all over the world. Dr Banavar beats all of them hands down. Let me explain as to why I feel that Dr Banavar is outstanding in providing an all round professional care. It starts when you enter her Clinic. When you walk into her Clinic you feel you have come to a very safe and a comfortable place and then you are greeted by two smart and articulate young ladies Ms.Biancha and Ms.Salina at the front desk. These two young ladies are very proficient in answering all your questions and more so guiding you correctly as to what the process would be and even explaining as to how the insurance system works and how much would be your part to bear so that there are no surprises and all this is done in an articulate and respectable manner.The best is that they are very pleasant all the while... service with a "smile". Then you are called by Dr. Banavar's assistance who guides you to the comfortable Dental Chair and all is prepared for the patient to be seen by the Doctor ... all this is done with care and respect. I have been under Dr Banavar's care for the last about 10 years. She has always cared for the patients well being and her treatment is based on 'what is best for the individual patient'... there is no 'one glove fits all'... Dr.Banavar takes time that is required to diagnose the problem and she never rushes. Dr. Banavar is very knowledgable and is very accurate in her findings and I can assure you this thru personal experiences. Going out of the way to save your teeth is her normal way to treat a patient. The few times that I have been seen by her she saved my teeth from being removed and restored them thus allowing me its proper usage. Dr.Banavar does not waste time in beating around the bush and she is very direct and clear in her approach for the best of the Patient. Dr. Banavar will always discuss the approach with the patient to make the patient aware and to make them realise the outcome. The best part is that Dr.Banavar will also let you know as to if there are any alternatives and also as to what could be the outcome if a corrective process/procedures are not done... this again is thru my personal experiences as I had delayed a procedure that was suggested by Dr.Banavar and during covid time I was stuck overseas and could not get any required attention for my issues ... it was at that time I realised "I wish I had listened to Her". Few of my friends are her patients and they too have the same opinion that "Dr.Banavar cares about the patient welfare" Dr.Banavar's treatment is based on What is the best for the patient. Dr Lee is great and professional... had a cavity filled and she did an amazing job zero pain under 30 mins... i did have a cleaning a week b4 i've definitely had better. The cleaning wasn't done by her tho.. from a hygienist... so so job nothing special! but the dr was great! decent prices too.. good front desk quick and efficient. X-rays were taken, Dr. Alex Yeh told you there was bone loss/gingivitis and recommended periodontal/deep-cleaning care, you declined for now, you requested a regular cleaning, and they declined both to perform it and to schedule one for later. read more

The incredible Dr. Lee was sooo gentle when I got my pesky molar pulled today. And her trained assistant held my hand through the entire procedure. Everyone there conducts themselves professionally, and with the kind of compassion that I need from people applying tools to my teeth! Came here for a check up because I was having knee surgery and they needed a form from the dentist to sign off before surgery could happen. The visit went well and I decided to bring the family here to get checked up on. That's where the disaster went. My wife had a decent experience with her teeth cleaning but when we tried to get our two year old through the first person, that was a no go. I've never seen such shitty bed side manner from a tech than when my daughter was there. I had to physically tell the tech to stop and I picked up my daughter and walked out. This lady was lucky she didn't try to stop me because it would have gotten physical. That's how bad this tech was. So I give them 2 stars because my wife liked her dentist but if you have kids, I would highly recommend not going here. read more

I scheduled appts via ZocDoc which is not integrated into their office system. So, appt confirmations were not aligned. Also, they never sent me paperwork ahead of time. When I got to the office, they asked me to wash my hands, but their bathroom was disgusting! It was wet and dirty and didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. As a 1st time patient, they also asked me to take X-rays. I told them I had already had X-rays this year and asked me last dental practice to send it to them. However, the front desk insisted they had not received them. And, the hygienist insisted I take new X-rays. The dentist came in also, and was very animated and insistent on the X-rays. I would've been fine letting them take the x-rays but the dentist spoke in a very loud voice, almost yelling at me and was very animated and jarring for a small dental practice. I extricated myself from the situation and left. I would not recommend this practice at all. There are plenty of dentists in the area who are more considerate in how they approach their patients. This practice is not one of them. read more

I'm a bit of a problem patient from having an autoimmune disease, but the doctor and all the assistants have been so kind and understanding to me! I really like Soon Young.. I have this very low pain threshold and really scared whenever I sit on the dental chair.. But Soon Young makes me calm. I guess maybe because of her being gentle and her being knowledgeable to what she does.. especially when she injects this anaesthesia.. Who looks forward to going to the dentist? Now, I do. The team at SmileOn is so kind, so on top of everything they do, and so good at their work that they made my first post-Covid vaccination appointment an absolute pleasure. "I'm excited to see the folks at my dentist's office again soon," is a thing I actually said when I got home yesterday. Was it because I got to catch up on some tv in the extremely well-appointed, comfortable exam room? (The tv is positioned to make it easy for anxious patients to focus on Guy Fieri's lighting hair while that plaque gets handled.) Or because I didn't need to ask for the WiFi password, which was clearly posted right in front of me? (A must for us side hustlers and freelancers who can't take down time, even at a dental appointment.) Actually, I drove an hour to SmileOn because I had heard their team was so great. And they live up to every bit of that reputation and then some. Jennifer and the front desk team knew exactly who I was the moment I walked in the door! Didn't have to fill in forms - they'd already sent them to me via text message, and I had sent everything ahead of time while waiting for my coffee order. (Note to self: less sugar in the coffee.) Temperature check + pre-arrival Covid screening: easy as pie. Chandi was ready right away to do my cleaning and took such good care of me. I haven't been a model of dental hygiene (ugh, flossing...), and I didn't feel judged. We had a lovely chat, and she is the kindest, smartest person. Did I want to give her a hug afterward? I did. (But I didn't, because boundaries. She just deserves all the good things and I hope she gets them all.) I hope you get to meet her if you go, she's the best. Dr Rohini Banavar checked on me and did the post-cleaning consult re my cavities (whoops) and grinding (thanks, pandemic), and she couldn't be nicer. It's easy to see how this woman-owned and operated practice has built such a wonderful team of talented, kind, and beyond-capable women who know exactly what they're doing and do it well. 15/10 can't say enough great things about them all. If you hate going to the dentist, you will definitely feel better if you come here. Have kids? Show them how to be healthy and awesome (without anxiety) by getting them started with this team! Just need a tune-up? Trust me, it is worth making the effort to come here. I don't need a convenient dentist who leaves me bleeding, feeling lousy, or confused about my health. I will go out of my way to find a team that goes out of their way to treat me with compassion. At SmileOn Dentistry, that's who you get. So yeah: I'm excited to go back to the dentist. On a routine service it was recommended to purchase a night guard. I paid over $200 for the night guard that never fit correctly. I made 4 trips back to the office for adjustments and still experience discomfort. Night guard feels like a retainer shifting my teeth. If a night guard is recommended I would go elsewhere to save your time and money. read more

After living in NYC for several years I am used to punctuality and going by a schedule. Honestly 10/10 front the staff up front to the dentists and hygenist. I've had some extensive dental work done a few months back but I've never experienced the professionalism and honesty like smile on. Everyone is so genuine and just eases your anxiety the moment you walk in. I just had a root canal done on Thursday with dr Tran and the recovery was very easy. We had our 1st appointment for my teen son for annual check. We chose the dental practice by referral and closer to our new home. The facility and staff are amazing. Even though it was our 1st appointment it was very easy completing the forms online and the appointment was on time.
