Fantastic experience. Overall well rounded and thorough. The school taught nearly 100 drinks for starters. They talked about , taught and tested more than just how to make the drink. How to be responsible when it comes to the business as well. Money well spent on my end. read more

Conquering the fear of starting over. Who knew it could be this much fun?! As an empty nester, the thought of coursework and memorization seemed a bit daunting, but I didn't have to face it alone. I wasn't sure I would be able to afford the school, manage the schedule and workload, or even if tending bar was anything more than a romantic idea. The people who run the school, helped me navigate every obstacle. (Thank you, David and Kelly.) The instructors are not just experienced bartenders, these people are teachers. My specific class of students ranged in ages from 17 to 70-something and covered many diverse backgrounds. Using their extensive knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, and techniques, the instructors taught each of us to develop our mixology, business, and personal skills. They tapped into our motivations and with their enthusiasm, made even the most complex of topics understandable and enjoyable. From fear to confidence in just two weeks--I earned my TIPS certification and state required BAC permit. I can now execute a top-shelf experience for guests while having a great time and making recession-proof income. *My instructors, David and Grace are well-versed in the art of mixology and perhaps most importantly, the local laws and regulations. Cheers to conquering the daunting and thriving together! Pictured: The Ernest Hemingway Mojito. Muddle fresh sprigs of mint, simple syrup (water & sugar or Stevia), fresh lime, ice, rum, and soda. Nashville Bartending School - Class time! - Bartending Schools Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Learned a lot at the ABC class and in the bartending school course. Worth the money and time, great investment

Waste of time and money. Instructor too busy flirting with young females. Save time and do the course online. Wife and I took the course and were very disappointed. We are semi retired and looking for a fun way to make extra money though bar tending. Again do not waste your time at this school!!! And the owner claims to monitor classes (yea sure) Just take the classes online. They are cheaper and they provide you bar tools as part of the course which his school will gladly sell you. read more

The Nashville Bartending School provided two bartenders for my wedding at the end of September. I had one of the originally scheduled bartenders drop out about a month ahead of the wedding and the School immediately found me a replacement. Both Matthew Mcderman and Ashley Meece provided great service and were excellent to all of our attendees. read more

I took the ABC class here and it is a required course for the state of TN in order to bartend. As most required training it can tend to be a little dry and drag out at times. This was the case but thanks to the instructor David he made the class much more bearable and fun. I appreciated all of the life examples he used in the class. His humor made the day move along much easier. A genuine guy. A great instructor if you're going to take this course. read more

First off, what I loved about this school: These classes were fun! I was impressed with how easy/affordable it was to enroll in classes, the flexibility, as well as the structure of each class. Even though it's a lot of information in a short amount of time, they interrelate things very well and create catchy ways for you to remember drink ingredients. Randy was an awesome instructor. He was the perfect balance of straight forward, funny, and informative. The school also helps get your servers license right away, and promise a job placement program. Post graduation is where my mixed feelings come into play. I had an interesting type of situation upon enrolling in these classes. At the time I was living in Nashville, but planned to move back to Arizona a few months afterward. They promised to help me with job placement in Nashville and as long as I kept a job for at least a month, they'd help me with job placement in Arizona upon moving. I got a job in Nashville through their job placement program, however during the process of job placement they were very slow to respond to emails and phone calls which slowed down my job placement process. I graduated in May and didn't land a job until July because they only have one job placement officer trying to help hundreds of graduates on a daily basis. But it doesn't end there. I kept my Nashville job for three months, and put in a 2-week notice with my company. Upon moving to Arizona, I sent the school multiple emails. Got a response saying that they "forwarded my info" to the Arizona school. I went to the AZ location where I got my AZ servers license and met with a job placement officer who was no help. He said I needed to completely RETAKE the schooling. He even bad mouthed the Nashville location for lying to me that they'd help me. I called the Nashville location, never got any return phone calls. Finally I sent another (pissy) email saying that they haven't helped me at all. At this point I had been in AZ for about two weeks and needed a job fast. I got a quick response saying they would reach out to the AZ school and promptly touch base with me. They also said that even if the AZ school doesn't help me, they would. I still haven't heard anything from the Nashville school and I have been in Arizona for 5 weeks. Their job placement is a joke. read more

I absolutely love the Nashville Bartending School and am so happy I went! I am so thankful to Randy for being such an outstanding teacher - he is the absolute best and I had so much fun in his classes while still learning a ton. Emily was wonderful with job placement and is absolutely willing to go the extra mile to help students after they finish. The program is well worth the money and time spent in class. Most importantly, I was able to get a great job within a week of finishing with no previous experience thanks to all the wonderful people here. read more

Kinda like what Vinny said, the classes are fun, but if you are expecting them to put effort into helping you land a decent bartending job, go somewhere else. Their job placement program sucks. They have an "online job placement portal", but most of the jobs on that web page are expired and out-of-date. The most frustrating part about it is when you apply to one of those places and they come back and tell you that the job was taken months ago, yet on "Daily updated Job Placement Page", it was open and posted as of yesterday. Further, if you take the initiative to apply to jobs in person, yourself, most restaurant managers don't respect "bartending school" because they had to work their way up the ladder. You are better off just teaching yourself how to bartend by watching youtube videos. read more

I absolutely loved my time at Bartending School! The instructors are so knowledgeable, encouraging, and made class extremely enjoyable. When they say you're going to pass, they mean it! The class is only two weeks, but I promise you will learn A LOT and enjoy every minute of it. Attending this school has further ignited my passion for bartending. I took a chance on changing my career path, and it has been the best decision I've made! Thanks everyone at Nashville Professional Bartending School! read more

I recently attended professional bartending school in Nashville. I wanted to learn a skill that I could use to earn extra cash on the side while in a fun environment. I am not much of a drinker and knew very little about alcohol. In a matter of a couple of weeks I learned important information about beer, wine, liquor, liqueurs and mixers. I was taught how how to mix and serve various drinks types such as Cream and coffee drinks, martinis, shooters, tall drinks, 2 oz cocktails, sour drinks and of course margaritas. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My main instructor was Randy and he is is the real deal. He is laid back and cool but don't let that full you. He is definitely an expert at bartending. They also have a job placement program that is outstanding. After Graduating I setup a meeting with the job placement director, Emily, and we discussed various job opportunities that interested me and the very next day I had a job. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to get into bartending full or part time. read more
