He said he would help look over my budget and assist through emails. However, he refused to even give me one useful pointer and he looked at my excel sheet for 2 minutes or less. His only suggestion on my budget was that I add a column that was clearly already there if he had looked at it. I basically planned 98% of it without his help. I only had 3 things left. I was torn between two florists that were mainly the same cost. I asked him for assistance in choosing. His only advice was pick the one you like. That's all. I couldn't have done it without my matron of honour. But I paid this guy, basically, to do nothing. If you ask for help, he just makes long excuses not to help you every time or he blows you off. There were other situations were I asked him the rough schedule of weddings in general so that I could book the venue, but he refused to help and just sent a longer excuse than what it would have taken to give me any clue. The list goes on. He did nothing that he promised when I hired him. Update: After a while and after my reviews, he ended up refunding 70% of our deposit since I changed my mind about using his services

This was a fun yet really educational session, and they managed to get the four and eight hour classes finished earlier than expected... which was a huge relief! The course was at the Holiday Inn Express on Chaffin Place in Murfreesboro, (I give that place four and a half stars itself... not a full five as it didn't have a restaurant) and we could get coffee, avail ourselves of the food at the full breakfast bar... not a bad deal. We played cool games in between the necessary videos, quizzes and tests, with a break about halfway through the four hour course, and a lunch hour for the eight hour... however, we managed to cover so much so quickly with retention that we were out of there hours earlier than expected. (We were a group of smart cookies! Yay us!) I can seriously say I learned a lot today. Things have changed since I took drivers ed. Barrett and Kayla are a great team... he's the teacher, and she's the silent but efficient partner; I really got a kick out of her as I know she's as charismatic as he is! We got tips on how to efficiently deal with our completion certificates, got the fax numbers AND the number to call to follow up to make sure the Department of Safety actually HAD received it... I don't trust a fax transmittal sheet myself. I want to know an actual PERSON has gotten that fax from that machine and done what they were supposed to do with it. This is my driver's license we are talking about here! So, they made sure each person knew what to do in their particular situation. All in all? I had a great day with a group of great people... exceptional teachers... an A+ school in all regards. If one must attend this sort of thing? This is the one! I got a discount for signing up and paying online as well!!!

Multiple emails detail the list of items he was to provide, among them, serving tables and his presence as chef/owner/event manager. After speaking with him via email, I thought he was a nice and trustworthy man to cater my wedding. Since this was a destination wedding, I had to pick my caterer without tasting any of the food beforehand. I chose chicken and waffles and medium-rare sirloin steak as my entrees. What I received was the most bland chicken I have ever tasted with soggy eggo waffles on top. The steak was well done and sitting in what looked like some congealed broth. The sides were edible at best. His "sweet tea"? $2 jugs that you buy from Wal-mart! Not even the good brand. Additionally, the food arrived looking like it had sat out for half of the day. A guest who is a close friend, and also works a lot of banquets, agreed that the food looked like it had sat out for a very long time before even arriving at our venue. My groom described it as "worse than school lunch". I paid $300 to serve 20 people. I would expect food that is at least edible. Honestly, most of this food was put in the trash. I am heartbroken that this was the only food I had to offer my wedding guests. Perhaps I didn't spend enough money to be worth his time. I should have seen the red flags when he got pushy with me to give him the deposit. Nevertheless, beware doing business with this man!

The second issue was the biggest. After setup, we did a few test last to make sure ok before serving to the masses and thank goodness we did! My poor coworker though, had an allergic reaction and immediately broke out, her throat swelled and she almost had to be rushed to the ER. Owner tried to tell us it was bad tequila we bought and that was the issue. Turns out.... There were chemicals and soap IN THE MACHINE! We were floored. Absolutely awful, and her response was to immediately blame us. After realizing she was wrong she did bring us a fresh bottle of tequila to replace the one lost when she finally cleaned it correctly, but that is not the point here. The point is she almost sent someone to the hospital due to negligence. Third issue was pickup. Was supposed to be at 5pm on Thursday. Then she pushed it to noon on Friday. Then pushed it to 1:15pm Friday. Then 2-ish Friday. That is not ok, and we had to provide the muscle to get it in her vehicle. While the event ultimately went smoothly after the soap/chemicals issue, not sure I'd use them again. If you do.... Take very small first sips until you know it's safe.
