In short, the case management department was confusing as my contact person changed frequently. If it wasn't for me, they wouldn't have many of my records. They seemed to lack a sense of urgency. My case was assigned to an out of town Arizona lawyer who was convinced that my hearing was via phone- not video. Even after explaining that I had a formal letter AND email sent to me confirming that it was for video, he said it was to be by phone. Then a few days later, called me to ramble on his excuse for thinking it was by phone. He also tended to talk at me--like he was reading the same "prep-talk" he gives everyone else without much asking about me personally and my specific case. At my hearing, he asked me two, maybe three questions. Where was the effort? ***The worst was after the ALJ- who has a 31% approval rating- apologized and corrected his own mistake and my lawyer corrected him again and the ALJ yelled back at him saying, "I already apologized!" Talk about being treated like a case file. The paralegal (Abbie) always treated me like she was annoyed to hear from me every time I called with new information. The lawyer, Rachel King, was unprepared for the hearing. She did not have the complete file and the judge suggested waiting until we had all of my medical notes. Rachel insisted on moving forward with the case without pertaining information. The rest of my file was sent to the judge after the hearing, which gave Rachel no chance to defend me. I don't doubt we would've won the case if my file was complete. I now have more information to support filing another claim. Nash will not represent me, although I am sure we can win the case this time with proper preparation. read more

After three appeals, two hearings with the same judge and THREE years of waiting for an answer, I was denied. Nash disability is a complete waste of time, do not work with this law firm. My attorney did not speak up during the appeals, did not help me out one bit, I felt like I did most of the work. I'd give no stars, if possible. After being denied twice I received a phone call from Dan Rosen who said he would be my legal Representation in my social security disability case. He met with me via zoom multiple times. I met with Mr. Nash regarding a matter for my husband. It doesn't have much to do with the type of law Mr. Nash's office practices but regardless, he took the time to meet with me, discuss my husband's claim and asked pertinent questions. Mr. Nash didn't treat me as if I were unnecessarily taking up too much of his time like most attorneys would if they felt their time is too precious if they knew they, personally, couldn't help (and wouldn't get paid). I've been fighting for benefits for years now. I have multiple medical issues fibromyalgia degenerative, disc disease, spinal stimulator, 3 herniated discs in my cervical, and one lower lumbar Fusion. I don't feel that the time that was worked on my case was adequate. Most of the medical records I submitted and purchased myself. Two weeks before my hearing date I met with the attorney for 1 hour he was very nice very compassionate however I don't feel that that was enough time to have all of the information he needed for the hearing. After many many attempts of trying to get in touch with somebody from this office I would not get a call back for weeks. The lack of communication may cost me my case. I've worked with a lawyer before. Before you commit to one, do your research about the firm. SSD is a long and tedious process. There are four levels that you will go through. Learn who your Judge will be. Ask questions about your success rate with him/her. And above if you are fortunate enough to win. You are lucky. If you get denied, the law firm will be expect you to keep going to the fourth level. Which could take years (4 years) possible to finally either be denied or approved. I help support a friend with multiple disabilities, and Nash helped pull everything together to help us win his disability case after the initial denials. The lawyer that represented my friend met with us and stayed in touch as needed by e-mail. We all arrived early for the judicial hearing. All the medical records that were needed (and there were many) were gathered together and used for the case. It's a long tedious process (you have to be patient), but in the end it worked out. These people do not return calls!! It is my opinion that their office is very disorganized. They lose faxes, send emails with wrong deadlines! They may have caused me my case. Back on March 10, 2017 I met with a wonderful lady named Demetra who leads the Intake Team at Nash Disability Law. She is very nice and very carefully took all the information I provided to her. She opened a case for me with the SS office and provided me with a re-entry number and website to go and complete the rest of the information. She said to send them the summary BEFORE I CLICK SUBMIT. A week later, they sent me a packet with a worksheet to provide all my doctors's and hospitals' information and fill a lot of information to send back to them so that THEY can complete the application. Due to some personal problems, it took me until June to gather all the information. I filled the worksheet, completed the online application (and per their instructions, did NOT his submit, I just SAVED). I mailed everything to them in June. They warned me that SS is very slow, so it may take 4-6 months. All of a sudden, in September I get an email that says I HAVE TO APPLY for my application!!! I also got a voicemail from a lady named Sara with the same message and to let them know if I need their help! What? Then why did I send you the worksheet and the summary? I called them and asked what's going on, they claimed they never received my packet, but not to worry because I have until OCTOBER 8 to complete everything(the email said the same). I offered to drop off the documents in their office, They said, don't worry, just fax the worksheets and the summary. So On that same day, I FAXED them my documents. I kept checking my Social Security page and wasn't seeing any updates. The October 8 deadline was approaching, and nothing! On October 6 (2 days before the deadline they gave me) I called back to see what's going on. Guess what? A new lady, Caitlin, (who was very, very nice) told me that the Social Security had closed my file because the application was never fully submitted!! The October 8 deadline that was given to me, was wrong! The deadline was actually sometime in September!! Wow! I was told that we need to file again. Caitlin said she will open a case for me again, and I was to email my documents directly to her and she will go ahead and file everything for me. So on that same day again, I attached the completed documents to an email and sent it to her. So, so far, I sent one set in mail, and one in fax, and now via email. For the past two weeks, I have been checking my Social security page to see if a case was filed and again NOTHING. I have sent Caitlin an email and left several messages asking her to at least confirm that she received my email and documents. NOTHING! I called today to follow up again and a woman named Summer (who was absolutely rude) first tells me that the Social Security office is working on my application and I need to be patient and it will take time!!! I asked her for the date my application was re-submitted, because the website doesn't even show that a case was even initiated. She said she doesn't have that information. Then, she has the audacity to give me a lecture and tell me about trying to get a hold of me on the first time they filed and says it's my fault it was not submitted!! I wasn't going to argue with her. I kept telling her that I am not asking a status on the first filing. I am just trying to see if the new one was filed. It's been TWO WEEKS and the firm hasn't done anything yet. She kept telling me that yes, they had filed. Finally she sent me to Caitlin's voicemail (she should have done that from the start) and I left a message for Caitlin AGAIN. I am still waiting for a response. But guess what? Two minutes later, Voila! On my Social security page, I see that they finally INITIATED the new case TODAY. It's still not complete, none of the pages of information I sent in my worksheet is filled. Now, I have to wait and see how long before someone calls me back and how long before the application actually gets completed and submitted! Very disappointing, and stressful! read more

Had their services for my disability, went to many interviews at theoffice in downtown for about a good year and handed them my medical records just so they can return them to me on a CD and was still missing certain document's which where never given back. I went to this location because a good friend recommended them. They have tremendous amount of experience in this area of law. They were prompt and courteous. They told me how long my application could take and instructed me on how to proceed. It is a pain to deal with all of the paperwork, but if you're looking at a lifetime of disability it's worth it. The consultation was free. I agreed to their percentage because I trust in their expertise. They know all the ins and outs that the lay person does not know, nor can they handle. I didn't have to pay anything up front. They took their fee from my first disbursement. I later received a bill for under $200 for records and copying fees, which I know my doctors charged. So I was ok with that. For those complaining how slow the process is or the lack of personal attention they received, please remember they are attorneys and they get paid by the hour. If you have enough money to keep regurgitating the information that's already in your records that they review, great! Personally, I preferred to pay them their fee for a service they are well known for and walk away. They have hundreds of active clients at a given time. Expecting them to jump on your case the second you call is a bit naive and self centered. Everybody I dealt with was prompt and professional. Everyone I spoke to at Nash Disability Law was very nice but I did feel like most of the paperwork submitted for review and acceptance to the Social Security - Disability's office was done by me. (Frankly, this probably had more to do with my (former) profession than any lack of work by the Nash Disability Law team.) My only complaint was that after receiving notice that my application for SSDI had been accepted, my relationship with the Nash Disability Law was over and I have no idea how to deal with everything that is coming at me. Example: receiving notice that part of SSDI is Medicare. My knowledge and understanding of Medicare comes from commercials. I sent emails to the Nash office but never received any ..... anything. The Nash Disability Law Team may have worked to get me SSDI but now that I have it, I am lost in an even more confusing government agency.
