Streamed rice and avocado curry
Dwaine W.

Ok instagram is gonna make me gain a ton of weight.!! This place popped up in my feed a while back but I hadn't gotten to the OC in a little bit. Was about to head home when I remembered it. Omg so freaking good!! I ordered the Thai golden dumplings, avocado curry and the massaman curry (to go). The golden dumplings were so delicious and something I've never had before (9/10) must get the avocado curry was even better than it looked in pics so creamy (9/10) ill have to give a review of the other dish tomorrow cuz I'm stuffed!!

Love the food! One of the best pad Thai I've had locally! The place is very clean. And they recently put locks on the bathrooms, which is great!

Spring Roll

Stopped by on the way to work. I ordered the pad Thai and the tofu spring roll. To start, the pad Thai was decent. I'd be lying if I said I haven't had better, but it's definitely decent and worth the price. The spring roll though was honestly one of the best spring rolls I've had. I haven't had a spring roll before that has pineapple in it. It added such a refreshing flavor to it, and the peanut sauce was really good as well. Would overall recommend.

Fried Chicken Wings with Crispy Herbs

We visited Thai Gulf after our usual Thai spot was closed, and we were in the mood for Tom Kha soup. It was the highest-rated nearby option, and we were pleasantly surprised by both the food and the service. The Tom Kha was excellent--rich in flavor with shrimp, tomatoes, and mushrooms having absorbed the flavor of the broth. We ordered the pot, which was served in a beautiful silver bowl with a small flame underneath to keep it warm. It was both flavorful and visually appealing. We also ordered the fried chicken with herbs, which was fantastic. The wings were lightly fried with just the right amount of salt and pepper, and topped with crispy basil, garlic, and onions. While the sweet and sour dipping sauce paired well with it. Our server's name was Jayle and she was also very kind and attentive, checking in on us throughout the meal. And giving helpful suggestions when I felt unsure on what else to order. We really appreciated her warm and friendly service.

OMG! Did this restaurant beat my favorite restaurant in LA?! Will I drive to the OC just to eat here, absolutely! That says a lot! The food was so delicious! The server was hilarious! While I was ordering, she said, "Oh! You're hungry!" LOL. Some people might take offense to that, but I found it hilarious! Order everything in the pictures! Suuuuper delicious! The only thing that I had an issue with was that she clearly forgot to put in my curry order so I had to wait a while for that to be made. It eventually came and it was delicious. She blamed it on the kitchen. I think she just forgot cuz she was busy making jokes. LOL Easy plaza parking. The restaurant was clean.

We came here to try the Thai food for dinner. We had the Crab Rangoon to start. I liked them as it tasted like real crab inside. We also had some spicy wontons that weren't on the menu that were delish! Then we had the Pad Thai. All the food was flavorful and spicy! But you can adjust the spice to your liking. The restaurant is casual and lovely with nice decorative touches. The service was friendly and prompt. We had a lovely dinner that ended our night on a lovely flavorful note.

It's been years since I last went to Thai Gulf. It seems that it's been through some changes. They used to have condiments on the tables and had a lunch special menu but they don't have them anymore. Their menu is just printed on white paper, which was disappointing. Food is still good though.

We dined in recently on a weekend night and there wasnt anyone inside. Shouldve known that was a red flag already. The table and chairs that we were seated at were super dirty and oily. Had to ask the server for extra napkins to wipe off the table and chairs. My family ordered the green curry, tom yum soup, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, crying tiger, and the soft shell salad. First off, the food took forever to come. And each dish came out separately and 10 min later, another dish would come out. It was awkward because one person was eating while everyone was waiting for their dish to come out. We ordered the soft shell crab salad but they brought out the soft shell crab curry instead and that was the last dish that came out so we didnt bother telling them because we didnt want to wait for them to remake the dish. The pineapple fried rice was super plain and didnt have much flavor. The pad thai was good, it was more on the wet side which is what i like. The green curry and tom yum lacked a bit of flavor. And the crying tiger beef was super fatty with mostly fatty chunks. Definitely disappointed in the food since ive had this place bookmarked for awhile but I guess there are better thai food elsewhere. Their service lacked a bit and their food prep time was just too long. We probably were there for at least 2.5 hours because the food took so long to come out. Wont be coming back here.

Half filled $9 fried rice.

The quality of the food is very good. But every time I get takeout, the containers are half filled. It's so overpriced and you barely get any food.

The Chinese broccoli dish with crispy pork belly was just ok. Probably would not order that again, not because there was anything necessarily wrong with the dish but compared to the other dishes we had. We sat at the bar and service was average. When we finished eating we sat around for a long time and no one came up to us to ask if we wanted dessert or to clear our dishes. We also had to grab someone's attention to get the check and it took awhile for them to come back and process the payment. I would love to come back and try their khao soi as it's one of my favorite dishes.

This Thai restaurant caught our eyes with its authentic-looking dishes, and it turned out to be an easy find with a little help from GPS. The restaurant isn't big, but it's clean and well kept. The wall decor is beautiful and actually gives you some interesting information about what they serve. There are a handful of tables, and it's a self-serve setup: you order at the counter, grab a table, and they bring the food over to you. There are quite a few choices on the menu, but we kept it simple with just two dishes since we're really not big eaters. We ordered the Pad See Ew and Chicken Satay (the appetizer, not the bowl). Both had distinctive Thai seasonings and plenty of flavor. The chicken satay was especially good: very tender and definitely not dry, which can sometimes be a gamble with chicken. After a long day of youth event, this was exactly the kind of refreshing meal option we were looking for. Authentic Thai flavors, reasonable prices, and a casual little space that gets the job done. A good option if you live in the area or happen to be passing through.
