It was my first time in an RV Campground, because we rented our RV, and it was the most fun we had camping yet.

We stayed here since it was about 20 minutes away from Acadia, and were blown away!! The apartment…read morewas extremely spacious and very clean, and there was a laundry unit in the hallway. The electronics were slightly dated, but the apartment smelled very fresh and overall gave a very homey, rustic vibe. There were two bedrooms (one had a king sized bed and one had two double beds), two bathrooms (one had a jacuzzi), a kitchen, and living room with a dining table. The toilet bowl in one of the bathrooms was stained, but it was a minor matter since everything was clean. This community IS called a resort, and I agree that it is a bit misleading, BUT they do have a pool and game/activity room in the main office. We were still blown away by the comfort and cleanliness of our apartment, and will definitely stay here again when visiting Acadia!

A total dump. When I saw this place online, it looked outdated but that's not something I mind as…read morelong as a place is clean. And I liked the amenities such as the large soaking tub and multiple bathrooms/bedrooms. Turns out the place is more than just outdated. It is clear it is managed by a slumlord who hasn't invested in anything since the nineties. Even the mop looked like it was from 1998.i have a suspicion that the place is so dumpy due to it being a timeshare, and the weekend rentals are just some extra money flowing in. Our unit is filthy. When I first arrived, I about gagged over all the long black hairs all over my bathroom floor. And everything feels sticky. We have a toddler who crawls and the kitchen floor feels grimy so it's actually a health hazard for us.and I don't even want to imagine what's in the carpet; the vacuum they have here in the closet is an old Dirt Devil that doesn't even suck up any obvious crumbs...I tried. After 10 minutes of being here, I realized we made a huge mistake. I went out and immediately got Lysol wipes and floor cleaner. And by the way, I realized that you can buy a mop in this town for $12, not sure why they can't invest in a new mop for the unit...gross. I touch no surfaces here without wiping it first. And the kitchen floor is just black no matter how many times I have cleaned it. Which, by the way, I shouldn't have to be doing any of this on vacation in the first place. After cleaning it and TRYING to make it a semi home over the last few days, I thought I would go and have a soak in the only feature that I think is actually kind of cool. And then of course, I should have guess it was too good to be true; there isn't even enough hot water to fill the damn thing. Double SUCKS. I wish I would have read the reviews first before choosing this place.

I had a minor meltdown upon check-in bc it appeared they had given our room to someone else and we called to complain to the manager, Josh, who upgraded us and was SO nice. Our new room was beautiful in the main building with a gorgeous view of the water. They had a welcome card for me and chocolates and a small gift for my birthday. We were impressed with everything here. Staff were friendly. Rooms are beautiful and well-appointed and comfortable and upgraded. Room cleaning was prompt and efficient (they were in and out within an hour of our walking out every day). Their lobby has games to play, newspapers, and 24/7 access to hot chocolate, fresh coffee, and fresh water and sparkling water on tap as well as a nice business center/printer computer. The women's restroom even had personal items out if you needed them. The rooms are unique and the architecture is different. Very charming hotel in a very charming town. The included continental breakfast was one of the nicest I've had included in a room charge in a long time. Large selection of fresh pastries, hot items, cold items, coffee, juice and tea as well as fruits always being replenished with care and attention. We enjoyed everything about this hotel. Thank you to Josh, Ashley and even Tyler who gave us a history lesson about the inn and the town. We will be back.

The whole property was cozy, quiet and relaxing. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. Service: Welcoming and kind door people upon arrival, and the front desk staff was very helpful and provided all the most useful information. The bartender at the Oasis lounge was the perfect level of chatty but let us also have our own conversation. Every staff member we encountered seemed dedicated to hospitality. Location: Could not be better. Walking distance to everything in town but right on the water and perfect access to the shore path. Ample parking. Other notes. The continental breakfast was phenomenal. No hot items but they had delicious ham and cheese croissants, spinach and cheese pastries, yogurt dishes and heaps of fresh berries to keep you fueled up for a great day. Tasty coffee and everything was well stocked. This place cannot be beat. Folks usually only leave reviews for hotels when they have something to complain about but I do not have one such thing. Thank you!

Beautiful room, with view, jacuzzi off of our room & location was great!…read more I gave it 4 stars because the staff was ok, the room service was awful and delivered our food in plastic containers. The food was cold and late. They refunded our breakfast but the plastic and cold food left a bad taste. We also tried to make a couples massage and they only had 2 male masseuse and one female masseuse. Not practical for such a large hotel. The grounds were beautiful and can host large parties and everything is within walking distance. Not sure I would stay here again because it was an ok stay.

Here's what was not good: 1) The walls were so thin I could easily hear conversations in the next room and in the hallway. Not to mention the barking dog and slamming of doors that could not be closed gently. 2) They should not have charged a $35 resort fee when there were no real amenities offered. For example, the 2 weight rooms in the hotel and at the spa club house had basic equipment but the weights were insufficient for my husband. The only other amenities offered without an additional fee were tennis and the swimming pools but they were still closed because we were there in April, still the off-season. 3) The La Bella Vita restaurant food was mediocre and definitely not worth the inflated prices charged. Not to mention, our waiter didn't even know what a Chianti red wine was even though he was working at an Italian restaurant. 4) The outdated wall room heater and air conditioner was way too loud and we couldn't hear the TV without turning it up (I'm sure our neighbors could hear). But at least it helped drown out the neighbors and the barking dog. And can't imagine what they charge for rooms during peak tourist season but I definitely won't be back to find out.

First of all - service was great. We were getting in later than what we thought, around 9:30 or so, but that was no issue for them. They were there to meet us as soon as we got in! I was also able to buy a national park pass, forward it on to them to print for me so we could get hiking early in the morning! There were four of us in two separate rooms. Our first night both of us couples were in the Acadia Cottage. This was a cute cottage with I believe 4 rooms. Both of our rooms were very spacious! My only complaint with the room was that there was not enough lighting in the bathroom. There was only one small overhead light that did not provide enough light - especially in the shower area. I also appreciated that there was a small fridge in the common area of this house that could be shared among the 4 rooms in this building. Made it great for us since we like to fix our lunches when traveling! On the second night, one of us was in a garden cottage (on its own! very quiet and nice) and one of us was in the main house on the top floor. After getting to see and stay in different rooms, I would probably not stay in the main house again. It can get noisy with people coming and going at different hours to go on different tours. Also, the layout is not as spacious as the other rooms - some awkward layouts. Breakfast was lovely! They fixed a different meal each time. The only con, is if you do not like something, you will have to go somewhere else because not much else is offered other than the main fixing. For example, one morning was corn beef and hash. No thanks, so I ended up having oatmeal. Not much else for me. The only other thing I would suggest to the Inn is that they fix their ability to multi book a room. It was a pain to book. We booked the 4 last rooms on these two nights. Because we were changing rooms, I could not book different rooms all at once. I had to individually book every room. So it was a little time consuming and mundane. Would have been nice if I could have added all 4 rooms into a "cart" and then checked out. Definitely recommend this place, but if you are a light sleeper and want room, be careful on the room you pick to stay in.
