Dr Lai was very helpful and patient with any questions I had and everyone was really professional and nice with us. Their COVID practices seemed good too. Would highly recommend this place and intend to go here regularly for our yearly checkup! Oh one other thing, I have a weird issue with the drops that dilate your pupils. In the past when i got them I would be dilated and spacey looking for 48 hours. I told Dr Lai this and she used much weaker drops and it helped a lot! My appointment was at 10am and by 10pm my eyes were almost back to normal which is a huge improvement from other times. Thanks!!

Aside from being a nice and caring practitioner, he also is a serious professional who keeps up to date with the latest technology to understand better how our health affects our vision, and he appears to be very active in many professional organizations - as I gather from the awards he has in his office. While there has been turnover in his office with reception and his aides, there is one person who has been a constant for many years, but that aside doesn't diminish what an excellent professional Dr. Nishizawa is. Plus, I've had no issues with the staff. Then again, I have always been mindful of my words and actions as well, especially when I am driving in traffic from town to get to my appointment on time. And again, from past experience, working in the front isn't always fun or simple...you never know when the next irritated person may walk in and take things out on you. I was instantly greeted and given forms to fill out since I was a new patient. While I waited for my turn I browsed the frame selection. Bill offered me great insight on the promotions going on and my insurance benefit. I chose a regular eyeglass frame as well as a sunglass frame. I was given an estimate after my insurance was deducted right then and there! I wasn't aware that my insurance offered buy one get one 50% off which worked out great! I liked going into my exam already having an idea of what cost I was looking at afterwards. I saw Dr. Kathy Iida. The receptionist who was also the technician (don't remember her name:/) was great. Dr. Iida was thorough with her exam and recommended great products for my dry eye as well as info regarding my vision change. After my exam I headed back up front to confirm my frame choices. Thank you to Bill again for letting me know of the different coating options available but respecting my choice in what I wanted. I didn't feel at all pressured into purchasing anything like most places make you feel. My eyeglasses came in the very next day! Again, big plus since I'm so impatient and like things right then and there. My sunglasses followed about 2 days after. Sharrod assisted me in adjusting and fine tuning my frames when I came for pick up and made sure I was happy with them before leaving. Side note, he said hi to me in a store and called me by my name after only meeting twice!
