This year when she picked up her glasses, they were the correct lenses but in a different/new frame. I've been wearing contacts for 40 years and have a difficult prescription, and she's been very patient and professional. The staff however is not. Uilani, the assistant manager is awful. Every time I have to deal with her I end up screaming. She's a despot. Disrespectful and belligerent. She tries to boss custom around like we were her employees. I made an appointment online, which I called to confirm because their online system is terrible and they always screw up. Uilani confirmed my appointment only to cancel it less than an hour before the appointment. I was driving from Ko'olina and already halfway there. I had to rearrange my schedule and take the time to go only to get a call at the last minute. She didn't apologize and blamed it on the online system. I told her I called the store to confirm it, and she was the one who confirmed it. Instead of apologizing and try to make it up somehow, she acted annoyed and gave me an appointment three weeks out. I was furious because I was out of lenses and I wanted to use my HSA to buy them before the end of the year. She didn't care. The day of the appointment there was a wreck on the H1 and my wife was 10 minutes late for her appointment. We called while stuck I. Traffic and she just said sorry but you're going to have to reschedule. We reminded her that she's the one who rescheduled us after screwing up our appointments, but she didn't care. Every time my wife or my mother in law has to talk to her they end up angry and screaming. I was not the exception. After getting my trials fitted by Dr Toyota, I was supposed to wait at least one day before ordering my contacts to make sure they fit well and the power was ok while reading. After a few days I called to order the contacts and Uilani answered the phone. She started arguing that she couldn't order my lenses because I didn't gave my trial yet. I told her Dr. Toyota had ordered me a trial for toric lenses so I could use them while golfing, but the other lenses where supposed to be for everyday use and I needed to order them. I could hardly get a word in as she kept interrupting me and talking over me, I raised my bounce and told her to order the lenses and she got upset and told me I was being rude. I told her that my experience dealing with her had been awful and I was tired of arguing with her and to just order my lenses, and she said I could order my lenses from somewhere else and hung up the phone. Of course I need my prescription, so I called back but she wouldn't answer. I spoke to a different person in the store side who took my info. I asked when they would send my prescription and I could hear her talking in the background saying whenever I have the time... so I told the guy I was on my way to get it in person. I drove from Ko'olins to Kaneohe to get my prescription so I could get them ordered this year. When I got there Dr Toyota gave me my prescription and was very apologetic. I let her know that finding a new doctor is something I don't like to do, and I tried to avoid it at all costs, but because of her assistant manager, I will be looking for another doctor, as well as my wife and mother in law. She lost thousands in business and three patients, all because of a person that has no business being in customer service. Save yourself the agony. Go somewhere else. As great as Dr Toyota is, I just cannot take her staff anymore. I ordered my contacts from 1800 contacts and they'll be here tomorrow... no drama, super fast, cheaper... and best of all... I don't have to deal with Uilani.

Its in a small shopping complex with another business, lots of parking. Theyre closed Wednesdays and Sundays so book your appts any time. Im not sure what type of insurance they take though. I do know that Dr. Sakka is a huge advocate of contact lenses. Of course the shop has glasses to be fitted and perfected for your face frame but contacts are what hell encourage. I think the prices are reasonable too, not as expensive as though chain-store locations. Hes very knowledgable and caring towards patients. Some of his biggest treatments invlude cataracts and contact lense abuse. Ask him about more info. if youre curious. I know their office is in a bit of transition between staff so hell constantly excuse his messy office spce but nonetheless the customer service provided is great. --- "Thoughtful and thorough! On island visiting family, I needed an urgent evaluation for sudden onset eye pain. My dad is a patient of Dr Sakka and recommended I go nowhere else. Dr. Sakka is extremely nice. Very thorough and spends QT with all of his patients. You never feel rushed. Exams are very thorough and he does not only evaluate your eyes but takes into account other underlying conditions that could possibly play a role in vision changes. Staff is very nice and accommodating. They make reminder calls and always try to accommodate your schedule. I really like that they don't try to up sell. If you want an honest opinion if a pair of glasses look good on you ask Carolyn. She will tell you straight up. The only negative to the office is that it is extremely cluttered and not "up to date". Not a big concern for me though. With all of that being sad I would highly recommend Dr. Sakka.

She was very efficient and comprehensive. Dr. Chang-Moses takes the time to explain any issues in detail. The average visit is approximately 30 minutes - no long waits for those of you with tight schedules. They take credit card for co-payments. They maintain mall hours so accessibility is great. Then went back to the Optometrist's office -- had them cancel my credit card charge for the $800+ and just give me the prescription for the glasses I need. For some reason, they still wanted to charge me $100.......... Went to another Optometrist a couple of miles away, ordered my new glasses (which will be here in 1/2 the time as MidPacificEyecare) and it is ONLY costing me about $125........what a rip off!!!!

I mean a crazy amount of time and still remained amazingly patient, kind, and helpful throughout (the last place I got progressives from was a frustrating experience). For my night tinted RX night driving glasses, my needs didn't fit neatly into a box. Cory went the extra mile to find a work-around special order for me and they turned out perfect. I can finally drive at night safely again!! My new progressives are for a desk environment with a laptop closer to me and larger monitors further behind that and they work great! I am so happy to finally have something that works. The customer service is amazing. I have been so frustrated for so many years, that I really don't have words to adequately express my gratitude and relief for their patience, understanding, and willingness to actually help me.
