This was, hands down, the best food I had in Buenos Aires. Several reviewers are complaining about portion size. If what you're seeking is big portions for cheap, this is not the place. You come to Narda for the fresh ingredients, the unique flavors, and because they treat cooking like an art form. We had a group of 6, with 2 vegetarians and 4 carnivores. The 4 of us who eat meat ordered two appetizers and two mains and it was plenty food.
Appetizers: Repollo Morcilla and Burrata. I don't care for morcilla so I didn't try it but my friends loved it. I only had the burrata with figs and it was amazing. When the waitress told me it had celery and dill I though "way to ruin burrata!" but I was so wrong!! It was light, fresh and delicious.
Mains: Poutine and Lamb Tagine: I couldn't make up my mind as to which was my favorite. When I was eating the poutine I voted for that. When I was having the tagine I would change my vote. Another reviewer complained that the poutine was just steak and potatoes so no need for fancy names. Yes, except no. I had plenty steak and potatoes in Argentina and none of it was as flavorful as this. The mushroom sauce we dipped our potatoes into was unforgettable.
We had a bottle of the Zuccardi malbec and everyone was very pleased despite the different wine pallets. Don't leave without trying Exploto el Verano Vol. II! Beautiful desert. I don't usually care for white chocolate but this made me rethink my position. Wish we'd ordered more because one desert for 6 ppl was a little cruel.
The service was stellar. Marianela was wonderful and we didn't feel rushed or worse yet, suffer through painfully slow service as is common in Argentina. Our check came out to $18 dollars per person. Best food experience of my trip. read more
