I grew up in Saginaw and was raised eating Napolitano and Spatz's breads. I have lived in several states since leaving Michigan and always, ALWAYS make it a point to stock up on both when I'm in town. I'm married to a man whom was just introduced to both these breads by my family and now he refuses to leave town without a stash large enough to get us by for a month or two (while they both freeze well, nothing compares to a slice of fresh, warm Napolitano bread). The Napolitano bread's crust has just the right amount of flake and chew when it's fresh and the Spatz's bread makes for the perfect piece of toast! We've just run out of the last of our Napolitano and there are no visits to Saginaw in sight. I'll be calling the bakery tomorrow to see if there is any chance at all that they would be willing to ship out of state. read more
