Ok! I read a bunch of reviews here, just out of curiosity, and I am not surprised and would be if there was not any bad reviews. "Bad" isn't even close to the service I received. It was October 6th 2024. I had a major surgery on the 2nd at Saint Helena hospital. My ride had fallen through and I needed to get home, so the nurses told me that my insurance would pick up the bill if I wanted to take a cab. Since it was a weekend they do not provide, but there's another company. Red cab in Napa that does weekends and they would be there to pick me up at 5:30 pm. That he did. Im a happy go lucky person and was ready to have a nice drive home maybe cracking some jokes, whatever. Instead, the little heavy set man in a driving hat, listening to show tunes didn't waste any time telling me u couldn't eat in his car as he knows the hospital gives free food to "you people" and that fine but don't eat in my f-ing car. What!?!? I was shocked he would speak to me like that. I told him I didn't have any food. Then he said if you have to throw up or pee or take a shit, let me know and I'll pull over. Don't do it in my car. So I dismissed his attitude and humored him by listening to his "road" stories, pot hole stuff, go-to drivers convo. Anyway a few of his stories he got heated at the end and raised his voice at the incompetence of the road officials. I'm thinking to myself I don't want to make this guy mad. In the meantime he drove right past our turn. When I said, hey, you just passed where we need to go. I am not exaggerating, he slammed on the breaks as he pulled over and said no I fucking did not that's not the way to where we need to go. I'm like, yes it is, as I double check the sign. He kept yelling no it's not. I said I live where I live and this is the way home. He said, so you're going to take me over the mountain? I said I live in the mountains so yes. Then he proceeded to tell me the road was closed and we're lucky it's Saturday and they won't be working. I said oh they aren't working in the road, they're done w that. He kept wanting to be right I guess. Raising his voice and cussing at me. I had to bite my tongue. When we got to a part of the road where they had been working I said that's probably what made you think they were working on the road. He again said to me that you'd think "you people" would appreciate a free ride and give directions a little nicer. And motioned the steering wheel towards the side of the road again hitting the brakes. Mind you both times he did this it really hurt my chest as I just had a lobectomy 4 days earlier. The seat belt was locked so it was very painful. I mentioned the first time that I just had part of my lung removed. His response was, that it wasn't his problem and I should learn to be nicer since I was getting a free ride. I said, someone's paying for it. And that's when he threatened to pull the car over and let me out right there. I almost wished he had. It was the most horrible experience and the best way to describe his demeanor is if you've ever been with an abusive spouse? That's what it felt like. I don't scare easy and I have a hard time just letting someone talk to me like that. But I bit my tongue and was afraid to tell him where the next turn was. So when I did I said it overly nice with sugar and a cherry on top. He very sarcastically said, well thank you. He pulled up to my house. I grabbed my things, should have had assistance due to my surgery but I just wanted out of his show-tune mobile. I didn't say a word and I didn't look back. We were told to call this company to get a ride from Auberge du Soleil to Solebar the restaurant at Their sister hotel. We were 20 minutes late, and offered to pay the driver for making him wait. The driver was a funny guy, told us he wouldn't leave us stranded etc. Got us to our destination. However, when we called them back to get a ride back to hotel, Christy, the lady who answered told us she would not pick us up because we made her driver wait. She was rude and left us calling the hotel for a ride back. I do not know how people run business like this. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not use this service. Besides her meter will run you over $55 for that ride vs Uber $30. And if you reach out to hotel it may even be free. Save yourself the trouble. read more

The dispatcher, who I believe is also the owner, is absolutely terrible. I called to ask how I could confirm my ride since there was no confirmation email and she gave me so much attitude for no apparent reason. I know there are scenarios where the customer isn't always right but in this scenario her attitude and flippant responses were unexpected and indicated she had some sort of anger issues. Then I was just nervous she wouldn't send a car on time just to spite me, so I was having anxiety I wouldn't make my flight. They know how to navigate the local roads, back roads, highways without reliance on GPS like Uber drivers. if you have not been to Nap before, you are going to be driving in circles lost if you have a drivwr using GPS. I tried to schedule a ride to the hospital for surgery. All I got from dispatcher was lip service and a treat to hang up on me. I am a 70 yr old twice cancer survivor, the last thing I need is grief when I needs to go to the hospital. God help anyone that is in a hurry or has an appointment. Sadly, I would not recommend using this service given the lack of flexibility or willingness to accommodate paying customers. I booked a cab for a trip SFO to Napa and specifically requested a babyseat. when I arrived at SFO, first the cab was 30 mn late (shortly after midnight) and second there was no baby seat, i.e. I could not use the cab because California law forbids cabs to take toddlers without a babyseat. The dispatcher not only was unwilling to help me simply because I originally took an Uber to my destination (????), but she also chose to be so mean during the interaction it was shocking that I was speaking to an actual business. Just a genuinely bad experience using them. Ordered a cab and was told I would wait over an hour for it. Called back shortly to cancel it and was still charged $50. Rude customer service and just generally all around poor experience. I've used them in the past and they are a last resort but even as a last resort, you're better off walking. DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY! After waiting for an Uber for a while last night we called Napa Red Cab for a ride. (We have been working 16 hours days for the past week in Napa for fire disaster relief and we were extremely tired and desperate to get home) The Uber then accepted the ride and showed up just before the Red Cab driver did. The driver yelled at us when he saw us getting another car. He then drove to our destination at the hotel we were staying at and arrived before we did. He confronted us yelling as we got out of our Uber. We told him to calm down as this was a $10 fare. He then took out a gun and pointed it to my chest continuing to scream. We walked away into the hotel in shock. Pulling a gun on us for getting into another car for an 8 minute drive! When we called Napa Red Cab company to report this, the dispatcher said "yeah they know this guy does that" and that it was our fault for losing them money. If this is the stance of the company to stand by a mentally unstable psychopath with a gun, then this is an extremely dangerous transportation company. If you care about your life and safety do not ever use this cab company. We filed a police report and are hoping there is action taken against this violent unstable driver and the company in general for standing by this behavior. Used throughout our 4 day stay in Napa. Used their meter services, airport transfer to SFO, 3 hour window block for wineries. With the lack of Ubers in napa, this was the best way to go. Easy to arrange the morning of each day with the dispatcher. Timely, efficient drivers, made it effortless. would recommend and use again. Was easy to arrange pick ups to and from wineries and then to and from restaurants for that same day. No issues calling after dinner 10 minutes ahead of time for transport back to hotel. Would use again and strongly recommend. looked into more expensive car transfers back to SFO so glad we just used red cab napa instead. read more

I was excited to see some healthy competition in the cab business, so when we needed a ride to Evan Airport Service at the start of our vacation, we called Napa Red Cab. They said they'd be at our house at the specified time. We waited & waited & waited. No car came. We called to see if they were nearby & they said that they were running late. Their projected arrival time would have made us miss our shuttle. We ended up having to drive our own car to Evans & had to pay to park it there & almost missed our shuttle. Not a great way to start a vacation. Needless to say, we will never call Napa Red Cab ever again. read more
