I've been in retail management for many…read moreyears and the customer service I received from Bev and Brandon is the best I've ever been treated ANYWHERE! I woke up to a dead battery and had to get my car jump started. I called around and no one could match their price or many places weren't even available as it was Memorial Weekend. Bev assured me she could talk me through changing the battery right at the store. They normally are too busy to help so store policy is that they don't assist in changing batteries, which I totally understand, but Bev went through the trouble of pulling up a YouTube video and getting me started. Brandon was just as helpful as we had to go through several steps to gain access to the battery. Once the battery was out I was able to take over and get the new battery installed myself, with their tools no less! I was traveling for work and this experience at the Grandville NAPA was a memorable one indeed. I'll never go anywhere else if I need parts or advice because I know I'll be taken care of. Let's hope their supervisors take care of Bev and Brandon so they can continue to grow the business in a time where the economy is in trouble, inflation is out of control, and customer service often seems non existent! We were greeted by Mike and he was very helpful in what we needed to change our brakes. He even talked to my other brother on the phone to make sure we have everything needed to have a successful change of breaks. If I were him, I would probably think that we were some newbies that he should try to sell us as many things as possible, but he didn't. I even asked him about some wiper blades for my car and he treated me with such generosity. I've gone into auto parts store before and I get treated like a girl that doesn't know what she's talking about. Today I had to get a new battery for my Subaru, but they didn't have it in stock. Duane advised he could have it at their store around 12:30pm, but he would give me a call to let me know for sure when they received it. Duane called and left me a VM advising the battery was in and ready to be picked up. I went to the Store and another person ended up waiting on me. When I tried to explain to her the engine swap I have on it, she insisted extremely rudely again that I needed the filter she had gotten for me. Constantly interrupted me and refused to listen to me. So I left and went to O'Reilly's Auto and they were happy to give me the correct filter. I took my 2026 RAM 1500 RHO to Christen Brother Automotive on 32'nd street in Hudsonville to have the on-board computer "realigned" for a new front headlight Assembly. Yes, the headlight assembly is electromagnetically complex and fully computer controlled. No more simple light bulbs. Instead of firing the parts cannon at the truck (and my wallet) the technicians at CBA troubleshot the issue using old fashion diagnostics and found the CAN bus signal integrity issue on the headlamp CAN bus connector. We ordered a new 'pigtail' connector that Jason at CBA spent four hours hunting down for me and I had a working headlight. Fantastic. By the way, they currently back their repairs with a 3 year/36000 mile warranty (whichever occurs last). That's something you don't see out of most independent shops! Free rides to and from the shop, free coffee, Veterans discount and some really awesome hand drawn artwork to check out in the waiting room.
