Wow. Worst service I've had in years. Clerk had a terrible attitude, I was a bother to assist. We walked out. I hope her life gets better.

I came in looking for some spark plugs and ignition coils that I had called ahead about a few days prior. After waiting for someone to come out and greet me for around 15 minutes, I was told by a snarky read headed young dude at the counter that "nothing is kept put aside after a day or two" and they didn't have all the parts I needed. This place just sucks all around. Go to the Napa on Fairbanks instead. They're super cool over there and will actually have the stuff you need. Oh! And when I went to pay for the parts they actually did have for me, I asked about a military discount because I'm active duty, and was angrily asked for my ID, which is fine but almost never happens anywhere else. Just saying

The saving grace for this two star review is based on one person, his name is Lee…read more Stacey actually was the first one to pick up. From the minute he picked up the phone I could tell this would not go down very well. Instead of addressing the customer first, the first thing I heard was him yelling about how the system went down. And how he wasn't printing anything because his computer does not print. That was certainly not expected. Being that I did some research on my product, I already had looked up the specs, knew the pricing, and new the part number. The only thing I had asked was if the part was on hand in their shop or if any of the other Anchorage Napa's had the part. He proclaimed it was hard to do with their systems being down that he will put me on hold to ask. Well he did keep me on hold. A few minutes later Lee enthusiastically picked up asking if I was being taken care of. I told him that Stacey was asking someone about a part and Lee quickly took charge. He also noted that the system was down, but said he could still check in another way so he then placed me hold. Just a few seconds later, Stacey came on again and said it would take 20 minutes because he couldn't do anything with the system being down. I said that was fine, Lee was also looking. All Stacey said was okay, and hung up on me. Really though? There is never a reason to be unhelpful, inattentive or rude to a customer. Especially one who (I think) is pretty pleasant and understanding. Thankfully, Lee still had me on hold. He let me know that the 5th Avenue location did not have the part on hand, however Dowling and Spenard did! And while my part was only requested my manufacturer, that they did have a Napa brand, with a 3 year warranty. He also let me know that there was a "bucket sale" going on. You buy a bucket for $2.99 and anything you can put in the bucket ends up being 20% off. Doing the math, bucket included, I end up saving an extra $30ish. Hell I'll search for anyway really to make a sale. Lee went above and beyond - between being super curious on the phone, searching for my part, finding a similar yet still compatible part for my needs, and also saving me money! I really could not thank him enough for being so helpful, and certainly let him know how much Stacey sucked. He joked that he hears that a lot. That's truly unfortunate. If I were to base my experience solely on Lee's poor service over the phone and Lee did not pick up, I would certainly take my business elsewhere. Lee, if I could I would give you all the stars on this review. But in general, I've certainly experienced better treatment at Auto Zone, O'Rielly's and half the time, at Walmart.

Can confirm: these dudes are awesome!…read more I usually take my care in for an oil change at a dedicated oil change shop. But, lately, they have been ignoring my requests. I have been begging them to upsell me, and they have been refusing. Easy stuff to do: replace wipers, why does the wiper fluid come out?, and why is my engine light on? But they just change the oil, do nothing else, and send me on my way. I decided to try some place different. Many of my trusted Yelp friends speak highly of this place, so I decided to give them a shot. WOW! So glad I did! I got here at 8am, it was dark and my spirits were low. The guy at the counter was really friend, despite his computer system being down, and took down my information on a pad of paper. I grabbed a free coffee and my friend dropped me off at work. At about 11:30am he called to tell me that everything was fixed, except the check engine light. He explained the error code to me and the pros and cons of investigating further. I chose not to and he said my car was ready! The windshield wipers they used are tough, Alaska tough. Using the wipers is at least as effective as a skilled homeless person/road-trip-partner is squeegeeing my windows at a gas station. Really happy I got all these little nagging issues fixed. Will definitely be back if (science, forbid) I need any work done! Bonus: they had some sweet dogs behind the counter, I love dogs.

I took my car to Rallys to get an estimate and I received a call from Stan a few hours after drop off. The heater core was determined to be faulty and leaking anti-freze. The serpertine belt was also wore out and need replacing. The quote was for about $1100 to repair everything. Ouch! I told Stan that I have an extend warranty on the car and he called the company. Unfortunately, the warranty did not cover the heater core. They replaced the heater core which took 2 solid days. I picked up the truck, but after a couple days I still smell anti-freeze. I return the car back to Rallys and they did another diagnostic which concluded the radiator was faulty. They had to replace the radiator, which finally fixed the smokey and smell of anti-freeze inside the cabin. The manager Nick said that they guarantee all their repairs, which he took the amount to replace my radiator, subtracted it from my original payment, and refunded me $550.00. My car is now 100% operational and I thank Rally and crew for getting me back on the road. I've dealt with many auto repair shop in the past both stateside and oversees, but I have to say Rally is the first auto repair shop I have encountered to exhibit excellent customer service, honesty, and fairness. I will definitely recommend these guys to friends and co-workers. Again Thank you Rallys!
