It's too bad, office staff can run an entire practice. I've been to Dr. Pascal. She seemed knowledgeable enough. However, whoever the Luanne women is is super rude. She should work at a jail with prisoners, not in a doctor setting with sick people. (This was not just one, "I'm having a bad day" time. This was multiple exchanges over multiple months.) If I could do 0 stars I would. Horrible doctor I don't know how she still has her license . She is money hungry and does not care about your health at all. She tried to prescribe me a suppository for post menopause that is not covered by my insurance and is not FDA approved .it is for women older than 65. I am a 20. AND it had nothing to do with why I was being seen. She had a nurse take my blood to test my testosterone levels, which had nothing to do with why I was being seen. She completely ignored my concerns and how it is affecting my well-being. She was very rude when it came to me expressing what I'm dealing with. I have never been so angry and upset I feel violated and taken advantage of. Also they completely violated HIPAA regulations when the doctor called they did not verify that they were speaking to me and they called my emergency contact instead of me the patient. Terrible experience. Went in for a well woman exam and she did the pap smear in under 2 minutes and never discussed anything else. The "breast exam" was just touching one breast and when I asked about wanting to get off hormonal birth control all she asked is "so you're okay getting pregnant." my star rating for Dr. Paschall reflects her as a physician, she's outstanding, and I've been going to her for a long time. The whole experience with her as a treating physician is amazing. I will say, however, that the few times I have had to call the office with questions, it never fails to feel like I'm being an incredible inconvenience to the staff who answers the phones. Very short answers, and I feel an incredible sense of urgency and pressure to spit out quickly whatever I've called to ask about. On one particular occasion, I was given an answer that slightly different from what I was instructed by Dr. Paschall and the tone of the response felt very condescending. That I was brand new to and genuinely needed to ask questions even though it probably seems like a silly question. As a patient, I should be able to feel comfortable calling and asking questions when I need to without feeling like I'm an inconvenience. read more

Dr. Paschall came highly recommended but I could not have had a worse experience. I called them today to transfer my care and planned to tell them my issues over the phone, but no one even bothered to ask why I was leaving, so I guess I'll leave a review. I don't wish to go into detail about my horrific appointment since that is MY private information. However, Dr. Paschall doesn't seem to feel the same way, as I heard her discussing (and mocking) the details of my private and confidential appointment in her reception area loudly for all in the waiting room to hear, including myself who was just around the corner getting the blood work done that she had ordered. I would never recommend Dr. Paschall to anyone. I am writing on behalf of my sister, who had Dr. Paschall as her OB for her first baby. While Dr. Paschall was helpful while my sister was trying to get pregnant, the birth/delivery of my niece and the subsequent healing for my sister was unnecessarily traumatic and utterly scary due to Dr. Paschall's negligence, gaslighting, and arrogance. If you research other website reviews, you will see my sister is not the only one with this experience. I am not going to write out my sister's whole story for the sake of her privacy, but I will say that Dr. Paschall did not listen to my sister during her labor, was outwardly aggressive with her, absolutely did not have her best interest at heart, botched her stitching (this was confirmed by my sister's new OB), and worst of all, when my sister thought she was hemorrhaging at home after giving birth, she called Dr. Paschall for guidance, and Dr. Paschall called her dramatic and told her is was not happening (my brother-in-law and mom confirmed this, as Dr. P was on speaker phone). Because of this, my sister almost passed out at home and had to be carried out to an ambulance by EMTs. She WAS hemorrhaging, and had to have immediate surgery. My sister almost died as a direct result of Dr. Paschall's disgusting incompetence. Dr. Paschall is now not allowed to deliver babies at multiple hospitals. I am writing this to advocate for my sister who is currently traumatized from this experience, and prevent others from having an experience of any similarity. I will never go back to this doctor. For some medically unnecessary reason, she added extra coding to my annual exam, and tested me (a married 42 year old who is asymptomatic) for STD/HPV on my typical annual pap smear work without asking or saying anything to me during the appointment, as a result of added coding bumped up the (out of pocket) OOP price, on top of sending my annual pap to an (out of network) OON lab. Overall I had to pay over $150 on pap smear lab that should of been normally zero OOP! Then she coded/billed my annual mammogram as diagnostic, instead of as preventative, which bumped up my OOP bill by hundreds of dollars. I called and left messages with her office manager asking for a call back to discuss and nobody ever returned my call. I will never ever go back to that office again. I accompanied my daughter for a consult. After reading some of the reviews we were nervous, but our visit was great! My daughter is pretty timid, so I was concerned it wouldn't be a great experience for her. I didn't meet the doctor, but my daughter said she was very kind & personable. The never ending terror that is this horrible office. I'm having chronic issues that are uncomfortable and need HELP. After being put on hold for 10 minutes I'm shuffled to the nurse's voicemail, I leave an emotional voicemail around 11am asking her to call me back. At 4:00PM I call back because I know they close at 5:00PM, I'm put on hold for 5 minutes. A snappy receptionist cuts me off and informs me that the nurses do not check their voicemail or get back to anyone until after 4:45PM, I beg her to call me in an RX and tell her I've called before. She takes my name, number and pharmacy number and hangs up on me before I can even say "thank you". Around 5 I call back out, praying that someone might actually answer and talk to me, it's the answering service... It almost feels personal, did I do something wrong? Why am I being treated this way? I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a business or an office. I'm literally in tears writing this because I feel like I've done my part to be a considerate patient, I called early in the day hoping someone might have a SHRED of human empathy and actually do their job. I have been to this office multiple times ..for many services including laser treatment. Everyone is so friendly and makes me feel so welcome. I came very inexperienced with these services and just wanted to feel better about my skin. Evie was amazing!!! She did a beautiful job and has a very artistic vision. DO NOT GO HERE! The absolute worst experience I have had in a healthcare setting. I got laser hair removal by Evie and was left with blisters (which I was told to just put lotion on) and subsequent scarring. Not to mention when I was getting my laser, it was in the "lab" part of the office next to cups of other patients urine. I made an appt with Dr. Paschal regarding these scars, she said she would make some cream and send it. Well said cream never arrived and it took me several weeks to figure out why. Then, after several more issues, I wanted my money back and be done with this awful establishment. After calling several times with no call back, Dr. Paschall got on the phone to scream and yell at me that I was lying about the scars and then hung up on me. I almost lost my life under the care of Dr Paschall. One week after being under her care for 3 mo. I was rushed to the hospital where they told me I had stage 4 Ovarian CANCER. She ignored my progressive symptoms and was always in a rush during an exam, after waiting for 30-55 min to see her. She is very nice and sweet but does not know how to care for patients. I got an apt today with Dr. Naomi. I had a WONDERFUL experience. I initially made the apt with her because my current doctor wasn't very communicative and didn't explain anything just prescribed me and went on. Dr. Naomi sat down with me, explained WHY I am feeling the way I am, drew out an entire diagram, explained each organ involved, and gave me an entire process as to why we wanted to do each thing. She communicated. I did not wait in the waiting room for longer than 10 minutes (I was also 45 minutes early... so I could have), and I waited less than 5 in the room after my vitals were taken. She was friendly and listened to all my concerns. My first impression of her is amazing! Please take the time to look at reviews on other forums, because she is HIGHLY recommended. I also made a FB post in a childcare group I'm in and the first 3 comments I got were a recommendation to go to her. Not only is her receptionist the nicest lady I've spoken to over the phone, but Dr. Paschall is so kind as well. So far she has treated me with so much care and made me feel hopeful and optimistic when I was filled with so much doubt. Her office is so nice and clean and welcoming and that's a huge plus for me. I did not see her until 4:15 pm (30 mins in the waiting room and 45 mins in the patient exam room) and she literally spent 60 seconds talking to me. She never apologized about running behind schedule or took time to talk to me. I checked out and was walking to my car by 4:20...ridiculous. The first time I went to her office 6 months ago as a new patient wasn't any better. I waited for the office to call me with my test results...never happened. I had to call them AND 2 weeks later I get a call from Walgreens saying my prescription is ready. Really? Very disappointed in which the way I was treated by Dr Paschal. It was my first appoint. I waited for almost 40 min before I was seen by the nurse to take my blood. My wife wrote the below review in April 2011 after her office visit. As an update, the bruise on her arm is finally gone, it took about 2 years! Hope you find her story helpful. Will never go back! This Dr and her "receptionist", whom NEVER should have been giving shots, scarred my arm and it's so embarrassing. I needed an iron shot, and the receptionist, which I thought knew better, gave me an iron shot in my arm. COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE!! The shot should have gone in my hip. I've seen alot of poor reviews, and I get it. She's fast, she seems by nature a very diligent woman. She thinks fast. She's multitasking so much it's unfair for any of us to try to comprehend. She doesn't just have OB patient s. She takes care of women. And women who need someone like her most. Okay, so you've got a charge from her you didn't expect. Of course we want to blame the doctor, but the insurance holes and loops doctors have to jump through is insane, on top of dealing with negative feedback because of it. She's on another level of thought, that shouldn't be taken as rude, or that she doesn't care. She has undertaken the task of taking care of all women. She doesn't discriminate. It can feel like that, but I promise you, think of her as just human, and the amount of love and compassion it took to work so hard for so many people. She's put in a position where she has to operate as efficiently as possible, while trying to make sure you are still taken care of. Be straight with her, because she can smell bullcrap. this is the kind of doctor I think alot of people need for their healthcare. And she doesn't seem like the type of person to be bought by big pharma. I say that with a serious distaste for big pharma. She's the real deal. Her husband authored an article I read, before I even met her, when I found out paschal made even more sense as a person. She was very rude and would not answer my questions concerning my pregnancy. She said she was going to write me a prescription for morning but never did. I was very uncomfortable and her bedside manner was horrible. I would not recommend her. First impression are everything. After discovering a painful lump in my breast, (and suspecting having endometriosis for many years) I decided to schedule an appointment. I anticipated the possibility of Dr. Paschall becoming my new gynecologist. This is because from viewing her website, it appeared that she truly valued a more holistic approach to healing. I didn't want another doctor trying to put me on birth control. I had tried that in the past and it just wasn't for me. My first visit was delightful because Dr. Paschall was out of the office delivering a baby. I was fortunate enough to have one of her nurse practitioners, Megan Wade. Megan is amazing! She was so patient, kind, and gentle during my meeting with her. I felt comfortable and like my concerns were valued. I had an ultrasound done on my breast and some blood work done to check my hormones. (Emily, the phlebotomy technician is also very sweet.) I was scheduled to see Megan again, but when I returned Dr. Paschall met with me. I had to wait a long time in the waiting room and then the exam room as well. Dr. Paschall came in and started reading my results to me. She appeared to be in a hurry. (They were closing early because of the weather.) I would think that me being a new patient and her not being available on my previous visit that she would be a little more approachable. When I began to ask questions, she seemed irritated. When I expressed that I wasn't interested in birth control and would prefer a more natural approach to healing she became even more condescending. I'm very disappointed with how I was treated by her. Terrible place to go and get an appointment done at. You'll spend forever waiting around in both the lobby and exam room only to see her for a few minutes. She will not listen to you speak, is cold, and definitely does not make you feel comfortable whatsoever. Another recent experience I had was dealing with refilling medication. It took two weeks of back and forth with receptionists and herself telling me my prescription was being filled when it was not. Not even the pharmacy could reach her! I had to actually have them call an emergency in to her personal phone at 9pm at night because I was so fed up and missing medication 3 days late. Unacceptable. Don't even bother your time. I initially visited Dr. Paschall three months ago as I approached the two year mark of infertility. During my first visit, I waited an hour for the doctor but quickly forgot the wait as Dr. Paschall arrived and presented a clear three month plan, offered a variety of possible scenarios contributing to the infertility, and ended the appointment with clear next steps. A week later, my tests results returned and none of her hypothesis were proven correct. Today was the third time in three months I've seen Dr. Paschall (note that I was told I had a three month period to attempt to conceive using the fertility medication she prescribed) before moving to more aggressive steps. After waiting an hour, at this third appointment, she entered my room and after making casual chitchat, looked at my chart and asked, "so, are you planning to have children?" She then asked how aggressive I wanted to be and essentially referred me to Nashville Fertility when she was unable to explain how her path forward would be any different. As someone struggling with infertility and initially highly invested in the expertise of this doctor who I'd found so reassuring, it was simply crushing. While I cannot attest to her skills as an OB, I hope I can prevent others who are hoping to find a hormonal cause for infertility not to make the same mistake as I. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but if I think it will help spare others the experience that I had then it is worth it. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I had wonderful professional offices and doctors with my previous two so I expected the same with this pregnancy. I was sadly mistaken. The first appointment at Dr. Paschall's office seemed fine. The receptionists were friendly, and Dr. Paschall spent at least 5-10 min in the room talking with me and giving me great reviews about the hospital that she delivers at. So upon leaving I felt pretty good about my choice. The next time I went in ALL the office staff seemed more than miserable, there was no soap in the bathroom and there were paper towels all around the trash. I'm sorry but how can I leave a sterile sample in a dirty bathroom with no soap to wash my hands?! I had to have blood work as well with the Phlebotomists, who was very friendly and did a good job. Then I saw Dr. Paschall who this time seemed that she didn't even remember who I was even though I had a thorough conversation with her 2 weeks prior, gave me a pap smear, was very vague and we're done. No talk about weight gain, nutrition or any of the other important things that should be gone over with a woman who is 12 weeks pregnant. I had another appt scheduled out for the typical 4 weeks before I left. Two weeks go by and I am curious about my blood work. I call and had to leave the nurse a message. She called back and told me that my blood work showed I was low on vitamin D. OK kind of a big deal but glad I know. Then she says oh and you have a UTI! I'm sorry it does not take 2 weeks to find out that a patient has a UTI. Usually it is same day or the day after if sent to a lab. UTI's can get serious fast, especially when your pregnant. I was dumb enough to go back for a 3rd time. Same thing, Dr. Paschall seemed vauge, didn't even know that I had a previous UTI and was about to put me on antibiotics because my sample that I JUST left showed bacteria. Told her I just finished the meds that were prescribed and she recommended sending my sample to the lab to make sure. I never got a call back even to say whether it came back negative or positive. I'm sorry but I can not go to a doctor and her staff that I don't trust to put my health and the health of my unborn at the top of the priority list. That is their job! My insurance as well as out of my own pocket are paying for them to do their job! The actions that I experienced and lack of professionalism are completely unacceptable! I switched doctors and hope that I will be shown more respect and professionalism. I feel that if I continued at Dr. Paschall's office I was taking a risk. Not worth it. read more

I wasn't going to write a review but after seeing the negative ones below, I felt I had to. Dr Paschall is a great doctor. She delivered my twins, and then my 3rd child. She showed extreme care and concern, especially during my twin pregnancy, which was inherently high risk. And when my water broke at 35-1/2 weeks and I called her at midnight, she directed me to go immediately and quickly to the hospital. We did and when we arrived, the nurses preping me told me that Dr Paschall was already there waiting for me. (and we live closer to the hospital than she does). I could not have asked for a better doctor or a better experience and would recommend anybody to go to her. Now let me comment on the negative remarks from others. First, going on the pill does not make the doctor any add'l money. There are no add'l appointments because of it. You just need to see her once a year, which is standard for women's health anyway. I don't know about kickbacks from drug companies but it doesn't make sense, how would the companies know what she is prescribing? And she's probably recommending something that is effective, which would probably prevent pregnancy, which WOULD make her more money. I did also, once, have to wait for her for over an hour. But that was because one of her patients went into labor unexpectedly and she was at the hospital delivering a baby. That may be inconvenient for the regular patients but it shows her dedication, especially to her pregnant patients. She even moved her practice closer to the hospital so she could minimize delay between the hospital and the practice and check-up on her patients easily. THAT IS A GOOD DOCTOR. read more

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with Dr. Paschall. The reviews on here shock me, I can't imagine we are talking about the same woman! And for people saying she treats people with tenn care differently, I have tenn care! I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks, and she has been with me every step of the way since week 5. I have had complications on and off, and she has kept a very watchful eye on me. When I needed a biopsy, she was constantly checking in with me about any discomfort. I have recommended her to many friends and have not heard a single bad report. I went to see Dr. Paschall to simply discuss birth control options before my upcoming wedding. After the extremely long wait in the waiting room, I finally was put in an exam room. It was taking so long, I fell asleep on the exam table. Dr. Naomi Paschall finally came in and honestly, I have never had a doctor speak in such a condescending tone. She was impatient, and didn't seem to want to answer my questions as someone worried about my health and side effects of taking this medication for the first time. I was so angry at the way she was talking down to me, I wanted to leave as much as she did.
