Great food, Amazing atmosphere. My boyfriend and I have been here roughly 20 times, and have had just about everything on the menu. We have never been disappointed with the food. The Nanola secret spice wings are AMAZING!! My mouth is watering just mentioning them. We live in Queensbury, and we choose to make the 45 minute drive out to Malta most nights that we decide to eat out. The wait staff/bartenders/ and the owner are all super friendly. And I bet if any of you one and two star reviewers were to have addressed any of your issues with the staff, they would have been more than happy to accommodate your needs. read more

Another place I will cross off my list. Gave 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances but am done with this place. The bartenders at least the female ones, are very snotty and they act like they're doing you a favor by getting you a beer. I really wanted to like this place. The food is just okay and aside from Ethan (one of the male bartenders) the rest all have something up their a&&es! If you're not a regular, be prepared to be treated like an outsider. I ordered an Adult Grilled Cheese that listed 4 cheeses on grilled French bread with pesto and tomato and greens. My husband ordered a roast beef po boy which came on a hoagie style roll with a cup of au jus and a cup of horseradish. His roast beef was very tender and good - and is the reason this didn't get flat out poor rating. My sandwich came on the same type of roll with the top and bottom surfaces cut off and toasted (NOT grilled). It had a Single slice of un-melted cheese, 2 cross slices from a roma tomato and a leaf of some green. I asked the waitress about the 4 cheeses - she said lots of people get confused and think it comes with all 4. (So why didn't she ask which I wanted?) Luckily, I paid the $2 upcharge for a side salad instead of fries, so I inserted that into the sandwich and got what might have almost been called a "filling" for a sandwich. The waitress was pretty unenthusiastic about everything and acted as if she was really putting herself out waiting on us. Some of the other items on the menu sounded enticing, but after this experience, I doubt we'd ever go back to try them. read more

Stopped in for wings last night and thought they were some of the best in the area. Friendly bartenders and cool atmosphere and I noticed the interesting live music lineup. Could very well be my friends and I new spot. Might need to add more paved parking spaces though. read more

Been to Nanola a few times now and it improves with each visit. Service has gotten better, quicker, friendlier, more organized. Food has improved also. Never had a problem with drink selection. They have good, often free live music and ample parking. Front deck is a nice option for the good weather. Gator bites were unique and muffaleta (sp?) is a monstor, pure and simple. Worth a shot. Maybe not a full 4 stars yet, but my experiences at Nanola compell me to give it a higher rating. read more

Blackened burgers are good, my girlfriend loves the blackened chicken salad.

We were there last night and the restaurant was busy as they were serving wings for .25. We were seated outside in the deck. Our server came over and we ordered drinks. We ordered a dozen of the Nanola's special wings, Jambalaya and creole pasta. We finished our drinks and waited. After waiting for awhile we went to the bar to get or own drinks. At one point the server said our food would be up soon as the kitchen was slammed. After waiting awhile again he brings out our dinners. We ask where are the wings? He responds oh I'll go get them now. I said no- they are supposed to be the appetizer. We asked the server to take our dinners back to the kitchen and to serve them after our wings. What was frustrating was that he was hanging out at the bar area every time we had to go in to the restaurant. The wings were good but only slightly warm. The jambalaya was very spicy hot and was a good size portion enough to take some home. The pasta creole was good also, it was spicy but the creamy sauce balanced out the heat. Had dinner there on 10/14/17. Probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had. We arrived(party of 2), and were promptly seated. We place an order for two drafts and 1/2 dozen raw oysters. Didn't see the waiter for another ten minutes. He finally arrived with the drinks. About five minutes passed and he came back with the oysters. Not a half dozen but a dozen. They were terrible. No flavor, half of them tasted old. Don't order oysters. He came back we place our dinner order. Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and I ordered the Blackened Catfish with dirty rice. A beer later the dinner arrived. My Partners Fried chicken suspectly looked like fried oysters. And that's what they were. The waiter was apologetic and said he would get the right dish. My Blackened Catfish was far from being prepared right. The,, catfish filet was smothered in blackening spices and then baked in an oven. Hardly cooked the way the dish is supposed to be cooked. My dirty rice was half raw and cold. The fried chicken arrives and voila no mashed potatoes, just half cooked steak fries. When we asked where the mashed potatoes were, the waiter said "Oh, we're out," He replaced the fries with cole slaw. They ended up taking half of the oysters price off our tab. I went to this place with hubby less than a month ago. Found it by accident. Was looking for another place, but we ended up here. The atmosphere was not what I was looking for. It was a loud bar setting in the early afternoon. We sat at a booth and the chairs were all ripped with what looked like tiger claws. We moved to another booth that had mating insects dancing on the window sill trying not to meander into the cobwebs that took over the corners of the window sill. There was another huge fly that just jitted around the window sill for no apparent reason. I honestly thought he was on guard while the spider went to check cobweb balance on his "Web"site. :-) Anyway, we were greet by a wonderful waitress named Rose. We had never been to Nanola's so we had no clue what the food was all about. I'm not a Cajun type of girl so I was not going to order any food until Rose patiently ran through the entire menu for me. Rose was very informative and told us about the $1 tacos. I figured I'd try it and if it had that cajun taste then no huge loss. Oh man! Can I tell you that taco was the BOMB!. I got the chicken soft taco and I wanted more. It was fresh ingredients in there. I was so surprised that I could actually see the ingredients. I could make out every thing in it. They even used my favorite herb, fresh cilantro. I live very far away from this place. But if ever I am in "Smallta" NY Nanola is definitely not miss my visit. If it wasn't for Rose the bugs and cobwebs would have sent me away hungry. read more

I had heard a few bad reviews and one good one but decided to give this place a try because I love Louisiana style food. My experience started out fine but quickly got worse and worse. Me and my friend walked in and seated ourselves as the sign at the door stated us too. The atmosphere seems decent and the interior decorations were neat. Our waitress greeted us pretty quickly because she was right at the table next to us. I had several questions which my waitress was great about answering. We decided to try the crawfish hush puppies and gator bites for an appetizer and I ordered gumbo that was suppose to have chicken, sausage and crawfish in it as my entree. My friend went with the jambalaya as her entree. As we were waiting for our appetizer the table next to us ordered a Bloody Mary with shrimp and gator bites as a garnish. It looked awesome and I love bloody Mary's so I ordered one. After ordering mine the waitress goes back over to the table next to us to ask them how the Bloody Mary was and the guy asked her to take it back because he didn't like it. I thought to myself uh oh but decided to just remain optimistic. So I get my Bloody Mary and a couple of minutes after we receive our appetizers. First me and my friend try the gator bites. THEY WERE AWFUL. My friend actually got up from her seat and ran to the bathroom to spit it out in their garbage. Now I have had gator before and that is not what it has ever tasted like. Ugh just thinking about it makes my stomach turn. The waitress comes back over and we tell her we really do not like them. She apologizes and says she has never heard anyone complain about them ( I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE.) and takes them away. Then we try the crawfish hush puppies. My friend wasn't into them...I thought they were okay but overly seasoned and really lacking on the crawfish tails they are suppose to have. At this point me and my friend are really regretting our decision of trying this place but still we are trying to be optimistic. Then I try my Bloody Mary. All I can say is UGH. It just was not good. I usually drink a Bloody Mary on Sunday's when I go out for brunch....so I have tried my share of bloody Mary's. This was the worst Bloody Mary I have ever had. And here me and my friend are still trying to remain optimistic haha. Then our entrees arrive. First of all. Some spots in both of our dishes were hot while other spots were Luke warm...doesn't seem very safe to be serving food to your customers like that. My friend had a few bites of her jambalaya and looked at me and said this is just not good. My gumbo was okay but guess what.... It was literally all sausage. I found ONE CRAWFISH TAIL AND NO CHICKEN. At this point we are both done. We are just ready to leave. I'm not one to be a huge complainer and didn't plan to be until we went to pay. Since my friend hated her entree so much they gave us a 15 dollar gift certificate which said it was valid that day. Since neither of us planned to go back we asked if we could just put it towards our check. The waitress was very hesitant and told us she'd need to speak to her manager. So the manager comes over and says well we don't usually do that but I can take ten dollars off your bill and get rid of the gift certificate. I was like uh why only ten dollars....the gift certificate is for 15. The manager began to give me her excuses as to why she couldn't and I was so annoyed at that point I began to go on about the other issues we had during our whole meal. To me if you have customers that have had such an awful experience you should at least give them what you originally offered. Not try to half ass your offer because we didn't want your gift certificate to come back. At that point the manager just took the 15 dollars off and tried to convince me that their food is really good (also find that hard to believe) and begged us to please come back and give them another chance. NOT HAPPENING. I'm all for giving restaurants a second chance when one or two things seem off...but the whole food/drink experience was just so awful I can't stand the thought to go back and waste my money on disgusting overpriced "Louisiana style" food. I'd much rather go spend my money at the many amazing restaurants in downtown Saratoga. My advice is don't waste your money like I foolish did after hearing bad reviews....unless you have awful taste in food then go right ahead and waste your money. read more

We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly gentleman , my husband was extremely excited to try this new Cajun place, soooo disappointed. It took a long time for someone to acknkowledge we were sitting there we almost left, the couple who sat next to us did leave for the same reason It was not busy at all. They had 2 waitresses one who seemed to be at the bar talking to the men and doing shots more than focusing on the tables. The other waitress seemed to disappear, she took our drink order and our drinks sat on the bar for almost 20 minutes before she finally came out of the kitchen to serve them seemed Ike maybe she was cooking too??? My po boy fried catfish was very good and my husband had the chili which was tasty he also had 2 soft taco which he said had no taste and hardly any filling he was disappointed that they didn't serve salsa. We usually like to take our time but decided to eat and go somewhere where you could be served a beverage that didn't seem to take an hour to get. Probably won't be back read more
