Choose your spiciness, from the mild through medium to extra hot. I warn you, even the medium is pretty spicy! Unlike so many UK restaurants, the soda fountain allows you to refill your Coke products to your heart's content. This one even has my own favorite, soda water. It's like Coke, but without the syrup. Try it some time. They also have a soft-serve ice cream machine, but that's extra. There are also a few juices and bottled beers/ciders/wines available. Nando's is all about chicken and peri-peri chicken at that. Grilled, spiced and served in salads, as burgers or even just in 1/4 1/2 or whole chickens. A number of sides are available, including corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and my favorite, ratatouille. We all had some variation of Chicken - the sides were all fantastic (yes, I'm looking at you Mac and Cheese), but what really won the day was the Peri-Peri seasoned French Fries. We didn't know what to expect, and ordered two sides of fries, one plain, one with the seasoning. You can guess which one everyone wanted. At one point we had six or seven of their sauces on our table because I tried combining different ones to make a spicy, or even appetizing one but none were good, which is a let down. The sauces are more on the tangy side. Garlic and Extra Hot were okay. Lemon & Herb is honestly terrible. Conveniently located across from King's Cross Station, the restaurant has a large layout spread over two floors. There was a line during my visit (approximately a 20-minute wait), and the bathrooms are located downstairs.
