This Nando's is probably one of the nicer and more modern of the two branches, it is slightly larger but on an event-day at Wembley, it can become pretty busy and the two doors leading into this branch could become crowded and hectic.
I was told I'd have to wait 20 minutes for my table, despite numerous tables being free, I presume this was to ease congestion to the kitchen at one time but why should they have the tables if they can't cope with demand, or perhaps they should get more staff in for big events such at Wembley, with a large 85,000+ capacity attending the game.
When I got to my table, the service time was pretty reasonable, especially considering how busy it was.
I ordered my usual Butterfly Chicken medium spice with peri chips and mash, the quality of my food was satisfactory, it was a little burnt at times, but considering how busy they were, and many places seem to rush and mess up food at busy times, they did a reasonable job in circumstances.
The staff members didn't seem overly friendly, average at best and even that description would be slightly pushing it for certain staff members.
The branch inside is quite spacious and does include toilets, it seems to follow typical decor for Nando's standards. This branch also serves non-halal chicken, unlike the branch nearby on High Road, also in the Wembley area which serves just halal chicken.
The staff member dealing with the queuing system didn't seem too quiet, he seemed a little quiet and slow, then dealing with the queues in a quick, friendly manner, considering slight issues with staff, slight issues with the waiting process and slight issues with quality (albeit the quality was still reasonable for a busy store), I feel this Nando's branch deserves a three-star rating and it is the better of the two Nando's stores in the Wembley area in terms of overall feel in terms of decor, location and food quality.
UPDATE: After a recent experience here I feel the need to downgrade to a single one-star as despite being quieter compared to my last visit, it appeared that everything went wrong. My regular Chicken Butterfly was out of order, so I opted for the Chicken Thighs instead, which I found to be chewy, to add insult to injury the creamy mash I ordered appeared to be reheated, and my peri chips came without peri-salt and when I asked for the peri-salt, it was served and didn't look or taste like it normally does. After speaking to the manager about my complaint, he didn't seem to care, communication was also an issue as he struggled to even communicate with me to understand my complaint, he originally tried telling me "what chilli?" and to describe the problem with the chicken, despite having done it on numerous occasions, all he could argue back was - it was fresh chicken. Having been forced to walk out, wasting my money with no offer of a refund, despite not eating my food, this really does show delusional and arrogance of the staff here, who are unwilling to accept my complaint, meaning I leave with my wallet a little lighter, forced to go somewhere else to eat.
