The folks bringing food to the tables weren't the friendliest. Not quite rude, but not quite friendly. The food itself was not quite the size we're used to here. I don't take anything away from them for that; it's just something to be aware of. SMS to be fair, I've had smaller portions here in the US (but almost never). Food was OK. Place was clean. I am actually from western NY, within 50 miles of where Buffalo Wings became famous and every western New Yorker knows a good chicken wing and I have only ever found one place in the UK with good enough wings for them to remind me if home... I've been seeing this business prepare for opening over the last few wings and when I realised it was an American Wing Restaurant I was so excited as it's right on my way home! The chicken wings were the right size, had the right crisp and succulence and the buffalo bliss sauce was reminiscent of the Anchor Bar(birthplace of buffalo wings) itself. I was given 5 wings and wedges in what I believe will be one of the menu items. It didn't come with Bleu cheese as standard (which might have been for the pre-opening event..idk) , but I didn't ask for it so I will make sure to do so next time. It did come with coleslaw, though...which I didn't really see the point of, lol! Oh yeah hey have burgers and per menu items, I'll unlikely be trying these soon as wings are now so close to home. I would prefer a table to sit out but that's not the way Chinatown rolls. No matter what time you walk past this place there's always a line. Give it a go.

This location is located basically right next to Wembley Stadium, which is the largest football stadium in the UK, home to the England National Football team, and temporary home to Tottenham Hotspur. Inside, the branch seems to be set out like a typical American burger joint, there isn't a great deal of seating and the Fatburger branding seems to be all over. The staff didn't seem to be too friendly or knowledgeable about gluten-free, luckily I checked the website beforehand to find out what food I could have or I'd have been in a tricky and messy situation. I decided to order the Skinny Fatburger, sadly I was told I was unable to have the chips/fries or any side due to gluten. The Skinny Fatburger is a burger where the bun is replaced by more burger meat, the meat was terribly cooked and bland, and the toppings were just thrown on, it basically was a cheap sloppy mess at a premium price of £8.25. The waiting time and communication in getting my food was also a mess, it seemed staff were walking around carrying the food, some of them even wore a coat instead of a uniform, so it felt like a random person was walking up to you with your food, which was strange and unprofessional. I was also told they didn't do milkshakes because it was match-day, of course, I was visiting ahead of Manchester City's 3-0 win over Arsenal in the 2018 Carabao Cup, but I still cant' understand this policy. I'm actually struggling to come up with a positive to describe this place, other than the location, this place can't be missed if you're attending Wembley Stadium, especially if approaching from towards Wembley Central Station, which is around a 5-10 minute walk from here (overground and underground services). With many other places to grab a burger nearby (it's right next to a football stadium after all), I'm struggling to see how this place survives with cheap, dreadful, sloppy food and bad service at a high price. For myself I ordered the Chicken & wings platter which came with half a barbecued chicken - I chose the peri-peri sauce for this and it was wonderful. The wings I asked for in the buffalo sauce and that was good too, but I preferred the peri-peri sauce. The platter also came with 2 sides of fries and 2 choice of sauce -the chipotle mayo is very good. When they said the platter was good for 2, I did not take it at face value and ordered a seperate meal for the husband, but the portions are very large and half of the half chicken is sitting in the refrigerator for tomorrow. For the husband, I ordered the boneless chicken wings with the mango & lime marinade and a salad. The salad was lovely, the marinade was good, but I personally would have preferred a heavier helping of the marinade in the chicken. I could just get hints of flavour, unlike in my own chicken dishes which were "goooily" coated. The chicken wrap (Caribbean Jerk marinade) was a little drier than my husband liked, so he just added, some of the mayo into the wrap. I did not taste this one, because I was already quite stuffed. the honey roast vegetables were perfect. nibble sized pieces, well seasoned and beautifully roasted. The sweet potato fries were good, but I've had much better or maybe they just got a bit soggy because of the delivery. This outlet only has delivery option (no eat-ins) and delivery is free for orders over 15Pounds. all the food above + tip came up to 28 Pounds. Not a bad price for a healthy meal delivered home.

I looked extremely serious and prepared for my afternoon's work arriving back in the office still drinking it. Nick, the man behind the counter, hails from England but has spent time in both Upstate New York and in San Francisco. Thinking about wings and food culture in general, he couldn't have picked two better spots to learn all about the secrets of the Buffalo wing and about the importance of good ingredients.
