Hubby wanted to give them another chance to red themselves, so we had dinner here last night. we were seated right away & service was good. I believe our server said her name was Blair. The chips & salsas were good like always. Hubby's draft beer was good & cold. Hubby tried the Hatch picado dinner this time & really liked it. He got the steak & flour tortillas with a side of sour cream. He also had the guacamole that came with mine. We had always liked their rice & beans. The beans are still good. However, they have changed the rice since the year we haven't been there. Now the rice is not good. The color is different, it isn't red at all & it didn't have any flavor. It was like eating white rice. Huge disappointment. They used to have the best sangria. I was so looking forward to it. It wasn't the same. It didn't taste the same & was super weak. It tasted watered down. I got the El Jefe chimichanga with chicken. It looked so good, but after a couple of bites it fell apart due to how wet it was inside. Popped in to Nando's on a Saturday evening. Very busy. good vibe though all around . Had to wait about 15 minutes or so. I suggest going early if you can because it does get busier. We arrived at 5:30 PM. Friends and I had margaritas. Husband and friends had regular margaritas. I imbibed in a Cadillac margarita ( as husband tends to call me Top Shelf) lol if the shoe fits wear it ! It was great!! Our service was fantastic. I had the Carne Asada meal. The Carne Asada was very tender and very flavorful. My husband had tamales my girlfriend had chicken, enchiladas, And her hubby wasn't feeling the Mexican food so he had a hamburger that he stated was also very good and actually hung over the edges of the bun. greeted immediately upon arrival, service was great, they brought out chips and salsa and a side of hot sauce. tacos had a crispy shell and fresh ingredients, the ground beef wasnt very flavorful but overall tacos were decent. I would be aware that happy hour for food is from 3-6pm despite the signage outside the door saying 11-6pm we had issue with this as we were charged full price for an appetizer and found that out! very misleading but management did refund the difference once we realized the issue. overall it was a great vibe, nice music and ambiance. staff was helpful and kind. read more

Just wanted this restaurant to know that it is going to be losing customers because of your short staffing at your Dobson location. We have been there the last few times with 8-10 people and the wait time is terrible. Nobody came to our table to even get our drink orders for 30 minutes and that was after I had to find a waitress to help us. Then the wait staff took another 30 minutes to take our food order. It is sad. We used to enjoy the outside patio dining with all of our friends after pickleball. Three times of poor service is about our limit. It was 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon. There should be an ample amount of employees available to handle a small amount of patrons. Their excuse again was that they were short staffed. It did not use to be an issue. Are they just trying to save money on waitress staff.?? Losing customers cost more than what they would pay out in wages. read more

The good: Menu selection. Happy hour menu. Atmosphere. Kids menu. The bad: Pricy for the food quality. Food was lukewarm at best (usually they tell you to not touch the plate because it's hot, and she did, but it wasn't). Tortilla used for burrito was too thick and wasn't warmed. Shredded beef in burrito was dry and burrito hardly had any cheese. Cheese enchilada was tiny and tasted strange. Beers were poured right to the top of the glass, which when the server brought them to the table she spilled part of one on my son-in-law's lap. She never brought another beer nor did she comp the beer she spilled. The $12 margarita tasted like lemonade. This was are first time here and needless to say we won't be going back. read more

Arrived on a Saturday at about 1:30pm, we were greeted and seated immediately. Short time later we were served chips and salsa. Pro tip: The habanero hot sauce is only serve if requested. Give it a try if you like it hot! We both ordered the lunch steak fajitas, swap the rice for mixed vegetables. And my friend requested a dairy free plate, so refried beans were swapped for whole pinto beans. The decor is rustic with lots of stone and tiles adding a pop of color. Food was delicious although seems the portions were smaller than in the past. Still a good value and definitely look forward to returning and sharing my next experience at Nando's! I've been coming to Nando's Mexican Cafe in Chandler for years, it's that reliable neighborhood spot for solid Mexican food and I can't believe I hadn't left a review until now. Better late than never! The hatch pork chimichanga remains a standout for me, crispy shell, tender pork loaded with that spicy Hatch green chile sauce that has just the right kick. It's juicy, flavorful, and generously portioned. I order it ala carte to cut my carbs, it's always satisfying and hits the spot every time. I also love the steak fajitas, they never disappoint. The marinated steak strips sizzled perfectly to the table with plenty of grilled onions, tomatoes, green and red peppers, great seasoning, tender meat, and all the classic fixings, guac, sour cream, pico, tortillas, rice/beans. (low carb tortillas are an option) The presentation is impressive, and the portions are huge. Solid classic fajitas that I happily order again and again. Chips and salsa are fresh as always, margaritas are strong and refreshing, and the service is friendly and quick. The vibe is casual and welcoming, perfect for a low-key dinner in the East Valley. Only reason it's not a full 5 stars: the place can get a bit noisy and busy during peaks, and while everything's consistently good, a few sides sometimes feel pretty standard. We were all craving Mexican food and recently read good reviews about Nando's and thought we'd give it a try. We were promptly greeted and seated within a few minutes. They provided complimentary chips & salsa with medium and spicy salsa, which was nice. Not in love with the salsa but it was good. I had a Desert Rose to drink and would definitely order it again. Bean Cheese burrito was really good and my husband enjoyed the fajitas. Service was great and I like the layout of the restaurant, it felt open and had patio seating as well. Truly the worst experience we have had in a long time!!! We had a reservation for party of 10 people to celebrate a birthday. We were seated right at 5 pm and we had all arrived at the same time. Our server Samantha P. took a good 40 minutes before she even took our order, which was very frustrating. When our food finally arrived at almost 6:05 pm, half the food was luke warm and had obviously been sitting. My husband had ordered the chile verde, which came with only 3 little cubes of meat. He complained and they rectified this by bringing a separate bowl for him. Our drinks were all empty by then and we had to flag her down for refills. Our bill was $270.29 and they had automatically included a $42.20 tip, because we were a large group. Honestly, the service was not deserving of a tip like that. I suppose she knew she was automatically getting a good tip & was therefore not making a big effort. Enchiladas Del Mar are by far the best thing on the menu, give it a try next time you're there. The salsa and chips are always so good, but my only complaint is that they are pretty hit or miss, sometimes they will be stale or and broken. This Nando's location does not disappoint! Their food is so good, and you get so much for your money. The red chili enchiladas are my favorite, and their queso is a great snack before your meal comes. I always leave with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The food is delicious and everything you could ask for from a Mexican restaurant. The margs are amazing. The nachos can turn around anyone's bad day. I had never eaten at Nandos and in all honesty, I was pretty surprised. I had the bean tostada and cheese enchilada. Also shared a Mexican pizza, it was all really good. My friend had the red beef chili and it looked authentic (it's kind of rare to see the beef in chunks rather than shredded, like most restaurants serve now) he said it was good. It's a pretty busy restaurant but we were seated fairly quickly. The only downside we experienced was that we were sat in a booth which was serviced by the bartender. He was pleasant but was very busy so I was hard to get napkins, our bill, etc Overall it was a good experience with yummy food. Definitely recommend read more

My first time eating at Nando's. (Solo diner) Service was very slow and it was not a busy time of day. The server never came back to ask if I needed anything or to refill my beverage. I waited 10 minutes to get my check. I ordered Alfredo's Hatch Green Chile Pork, the dish came with the requisite rice, beans, and tortillas. The beans were good, rice ok, the corn tortillas were very good. Now for the main dish. They need to rename it to Aldredo's PORK FLAVOVRED hatch green chile as there was only 3 small chunks of pork. In every other Mexican restaurant the Pork Chile Verde actually has pork. This was most disappointing not sure I'll return. read more

This was rough. I'll start with some good points: Easy parking and spacious restaurant that easily accommodate large groups. Everyone working was very nice! We'd been told we couldn't do separate checks for our group size but our waiter separated them. He was great! Lots of fun drink options. I got one of the specialty margaritas and it was good. Extensive menu. Salsa was pretty decent. But, the food was pretty terrible. I had their version of eggs Benedict and the hollandaise was horrific. It was so thick and cold and just gross. As we were there for a celebration, I just ate the birria meat that was safe from the hollandaise under the egg, and the potatoes on the side. None of my friends liked their food either. I really hate leaving such a bad review but the food was that bad. My dish looked so gross it was grossing out people around me. read more

Someone needs to figure it out how to address issues... On my way home, I called my wife and asked if she wanted me to pick something up. She wanted Nando's so I told her to call it in or order it and I'd stop and get it. I get there, give them my name, wait a few minutes and they bring my food out. I take it, don't check it (my mistake) and drive all the way home with my headache and the food. When I get home, my wife asks where the rest of it is. My taco was missing and her Carnitas Fajitas was missing. I get back in the car and start the 20 minute drive to go get the rest of the food...but, I thought I should call first and let them know I was coming back for it. Joe, who I think was my favorite waiter, put me on hold and then came back and asked what I was missing. I knew for sure it was carnitas or fajitas but didn't realize that's exactly what it was. He came back to tell me he spoke to the manager and that the manager had helped package it all up and I got everything I was supposed to. He didn't really know what to do because the manager had given it to me. He asked if it was maybe still in the car. Nope. He thought that I got it. I didn't. I'm driving around with a headache just wanting to be done but my wife's food is missing. With no remedy and the manager according us of getting everything, I left it at, I'll never go back to that location again based on this experience, thanked him and hung up. I call my wife, offer to go get food anywhere else but I'm never going back there because, according to them, I got my food. By the time I get home, my wife's on the phone with the manager, Alexis, who doesn't offer a solution other than that "must have been the previous manager" and no, hey, come back and pick it up, let us make it right, etc. So my wife's calling the general manager tomorrow but if he/she is training these guys, they probably don't care either. Meanwhile, I'm going to lay down and see if my headache will go away. On an empty stomach and out $20 worth of food and a $7.19 tip. Dumb. read more

Nando's used to be a favorite but it is the victim of its own success. It ha gotten so busy that it regularly estimates 30 minutes and at 50 minutes waiting patiently and being told it would be another 20 minutes for a group of 6 tells me they should be taking reservations for 6 or more. Each time I have gone to Nando's it has taken longer. At the Germann restaurant Oiivia was not one bit apologetic about my wait of 55 minutes and being told it would be anotyther 20 minutes to be seated despite the fact that for 25 minutes there were 0 people waiting in the queue ahead of me . They lost a few hundred dollars which didn't mean anything to the manager, but over time I will never go back, and that adds up to thousands. If she treats everyone this way, Nando's will not be busy any more! read more

Of all the authentic amazing Mexican places to go to order from this is not it. The DoorDash arrived cold and at first I thought it was the driver. But I watched him in the ring and he was fine w the food. I opened the tacos and they were WET. And not even cooked or hot. If thy are gonna do DoorDash. Invest in better packaging. But also it's just not quality ingredients. I'm sorry. I hate to and hardly ever leave a negative review but what we ordered was not worth 50.00 bucks. Even if I went there. Which I have once. It was my first time here. I have been wanting to try it since I moved here. I had a taco salad with chicken and it was very good except the shell seemed stale. I wouldn't consider it really Mexican food I should have gone with Enchiladas I actually wanted. My husband does not like Mexican but really enjoyed his enchilada and taco meal. Overall experience was OK, we went here Sunday afternoon, food was great we had the blanco Mexican pizza and jalapeño bean dip. The flour chips that come with the bean dip are bomb.
