Nando's Denton is located inside Crown Point North Shopping Park on Worthington Way, just off the M67.
I visited here on New Year's Eve, and despite this the store was still well-staffed and the Nandocas were friendly, I did have to ask for cutlery as they didn't have any knives on the counter where they should be, but they were brought out straight away after informing them, and they also stocked up the counter to avoid other diners having to keep asking them.
As with any Nando's in general, you can order via the Nando's app / QR code at your table, or if you prefer the personal touch there is always the option of ordering at the counter. If like me, you have an allergy, you will need to order at the counter with a manager to ensure the request is sanctioned correctly.
I did find the food expensive for what it is, as of December 2023, my meal came to £14.45, which seems to be rising by £0.25 every 2-3 months. Frustratingly, I did have to bring my own mayo from home as Nando's, despite being a meat restaurant no longer offers it, replacing it with a vegan alternative or a paid option of Perinaise (Nando's peri-peri sauce + mayonnaise), but these are issues I have with Nando's in general which are not specific to this particular location.
The restaurant was slightly smaller than the average Nando's, but despite this, I was still able to get a table straight away. There is still a good amount of tables, including booths and lots of comfortable seating. The interior overall looked like pretty much any other Nando's, which always have a familiar feel to it no matter where in the country you are.
I was placed right next to the frozen yoghurt machine, which was noisy - I'm not sure if there was a fault with it, but I was still able to communicate with the rest of my party at the table, so not a big deal.
I ordered my usual Nando's order, a Chicken Butterfly with medium spice, peri chips and spicy rice. The chicken tasted good with a generous helping of the sauce, the rice was hot and didn't stick together, and the fries had a good coating of the peri-salt, so tasted good too.
Again, the little things add up to make a more pleasant experience and they actually gave me a large glass for my water, and the water machine didn't come out insanely slow (What is it with most Nando's having the slowest water machines ever??)
4* - Nando's Denton is certainly a good Nando's overall in terms of the quality of the food and service and is a Nando's location I will aim to re-visit in the future. read more
