Visited last night with my family. Cashier undercharged for our meal and a few minutes later when the mistake was realised, she hastily ran after me and asked for my card again. I allowed a second charge and today learned I was overcharged - a pound. Just one.
After a phone call to the supervisor on duty and subsequent follow up call after she consulted with the store manager, I was told I'd get my £1 refunded. No real apology to speak of, just very matter of fact. When I asked if that was the best she could do, considering the waste of time and (albeit slight) hassle this caused, I was asked "what did you expect, I thought you just wanted your pound."
Oh I don't know maybe a nice gesture like a stupid voucher for an appetiser, or drink, maybe a sincere apology call from the actual manager. Something. I suppose that's the difference between Nando's customer service and other establishments. Next time I'll know not to ever expect much from Nando's and I won't be disappointed.
