I am from out of town and needed a pedicure. I was overdue. I need nothing fancy. No gel. No complicated design. Just a good pedicure....lots of TLC, massage and OPI polish and I am a happy camper. Nancy's Nails and Tina who performed the service were great. Short the good work on my rough, dry feet and the callous that naturally builds up quickly despite getting pedicure every two to three weeks, I was most impressed by their kind, welcoming customer service to every one who walked in the door. Tina and others were quick on the "welcome" despite working on my feet and others. They were quick to know the needs of the walk-ins and address or assign to someone in their staff as quickly as possible. Their attitude seemed genuine. There seemed to be welcoming banter amongst some of their regulars who walked in as well and their staff quickly welcomed addressed by name. Often a good review might have nothing to do with the food served, the item delivered or the job performed. Customer service is ultimately the key to get me to walk back in an establishment and I would not hesitate to revisit Nancy's Nails as a result of what I experienced today. read more

I had Van as my manicurist. She did my nail and eyebrows and I was pretty pleased with it. We didn't talk much except when she asked me for my opinion on how I wanted the nails and such. I really appreciated her patience because when I was picking a color the pictures I saved weren't loading on my phone so I couldn't show her what I wanted. Before the pandemic,I preferred this salon. I won't go back. Worst pedicure Iv ever had,Almost no massage on the leg only enough to put lotion on. No foot massage at all. I got acrylic nails in a coffin shape yesterday. I was optimistic as I had heard good things about the salon, but that wasn't the case. My nails are all uneven and curved in at the sides, and the nails on my left hand are significantly longer than the right hand of nails. I have never went somewhere that did not groom your finger nails before applying acrylics, they did not trim my nails down (some of them were fairly long), or push back the cuticles. When the manicurist was trimming the plastic nail tips, she cut the skin on my finger (with a tool that probably had not been sanitized, as she pulled it out of a drawer), and then later proceeded to press on it to get the skin out of her way, causing a good deal of pain. There is still a lot of excess acrylic under the tips of the nails as well. Out of the group of three of us that got acrylics yesterday, none were satisfied with how our nails turned out, and now have to go to another salon to have them fixed. read more

Horrible and so expensive!!! The lady was doing my nails and as soon as other customers walked in, she rushed me and she applied the color horribly... she did everything very quickly and it was so frustrating!!! I was in a rush and couldn't say anything!!! read more

It's very unfortunate to report that this is the worst nail salon that I've ever been to in my life! I saw a bad review, but I ignored it and decided to go in anyways. There was nobody in there, which was fine, but I still wanted to try it and support the business since it was slow. Jackie and her husband were the only ones working. I requested a gel pedicure, and a gel manicure. So many things went wrong, but I'll just list the most significant... They did not soak my gel toenail polish with any acetone and instead decided to use a grinder; they soaked my finger nail gel nail polish for over 20 minutes and then still decided to use a grinder very forcefully, which caused a lot of pain shooting through the nerves of my hand; thwy soaked my feet for maybe 2 minutes, if that, and then started using the cheese grinder without allowing your feet to get soft from the water; they got upset when I complained, and Jackie was very rude. When I politely said I was very uncomfortable and I wanted to leave and did not want them doing any more work, they said it was going to be $30 and said if I did not pay they were going to call the cops. I explained that this was thievery and should not have to pay because they were hurting me and doing the work completely wrong. Jackie started yelling at me and stated "you made me feel so uncomfortable when you walked in and you think you're better than everybody else since you're from California!" I asked why she was yelling at me and she just kept on freaking out and being rude. I paid her 30.00 just to get out of the place. She asked where I was from, which is why I said California, but I've been to other nail salons around the area and none of them do the type of work that they do. I left the place crying in disbelief that this even happened. People: DO NOT EVER go this place!!!! I promise you they are lazy, rude and should not be even be in this line of work. Yesterday I went to Nancy's nails with one friend who was also a first time visitor and another who had been there a few months before for prom nails. We each wanted a full set and a pedicure. The beginning of our experience was great. We were enthusiastically greeted as soon as we stepped in the door and were promptly seated (all next to each other) and our pedicures began. Overall, I can't complain about the pedicure; it was quite relaxing. However, I did question the cleanliness of the tools they were using. Maybe that doesn't bother everybody, but I like to know the tools that they're using are clean. Either take them directly out of the packaging or take them out of some sort of disinfectant right in front of me. Anyway, next I was moved to another station (on the opposite end of the room from where my friends were, despite the three of us being the only people there at the time) where my manicure began. This is where things went downhill. I was never asked what shape I wanted my nails. I requested my index fingers to be super short and the rest to be short. Instead I got all super short nails. I was never asked what shape I wanted my nails; the technician working on my fingers just assumed I wanted "squoval". My nails were uneven. And repeatedly he ran the drill tool across my fingertips (to even out under my nail). Those things get hot. My one friend (the repeat customer) ended up with nails that were VERY long despite asking for short nails. Her nails were also uneven. And one of her nails broke in half today. My other friend also got uneven nails and when she requested a design she had to paint it herself because they couldn't do it. We will not be returned to Nancy's Nails. read more

I went to get my nails done with a friend and it was awful! She hit every single one of my cuticles with the grinder and then tried to punish and pull skin away from my nail where it shouldn't be. I did a simple square shape and it was awful. My nails were uneven and lumpy from where they were not smoothed out and then polished. There was also a ton of acrylic under my nails. The overall expense was absolutely awful. I will never again go back here. read more

I have been here multiple times. Every time I get acrilic and ask for something that's not a square shape, they give me something else entirely. I leave very unhappy and disappointed. I tried going to different people who do the acrilic, to give them the benefit of the doubt. But I've had enough. Never coming back here again. Plus they treated my friend horribly!! I'm a regular pedi/mani girl and was in Terre Haute for an event. Happened upon Nancy's Nails and so glad I did. Very clean storefront with welcoming staff. I walked in at 7:10 pm and they took me right away. Efficient and gel mani was only 25$. Definitely recommend. read more
