My friend and I went and got our nails and toes done and paid with a card after we were finished. A day or two goes by after our appointment... my husband and I were sitting at our table doing bills and notice the nail salon charged me not once.... BUT TWICE. The treatment was $188.00 and they ended up taking out $376.00 out of our account!!!! So I call my friend and told her about it and sure enough.... CHARGED HER TWICE ALSO!!! Then, my acrylic nails were lifting the day I got them done!!! I could touch the bed of my fingernail! We will never be returning. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES for the lady to reshape my nails and to fix my thumb and she would say "I fix at end" AND NEVER FIXED IT. So I didn't want to be even more rude and make her redo them so I sucked it up and payed the $188.00 NEVER THINKING they would charge my card TWICE. Disappointed : Took my friends daughter for mini/spa pedi for the first time a month ago and the polish came off that night during bath time; So decided to pay extra for gel this time; $20 for kids gel and started to peel off that day. Perhaps if they prep the nails first like how they do for the adults it might last longer. read more

I was visiting from out of state and wanted to take my DIL & 3 granddaughters (ages 18, 14, & 5) for a mani pedi. Lt Royal was one of the few salons in Terre Haute that could accommodate 5 people. I was very impressed with this salon. They were so cute with my youngest granddaughter who was a little hesitant with the whole process. The Disney princess corner they have was adorable. The whole process took about 2 hours. We got gel manicures and regular polish for the pedicures. What has impressed me the most is it has been 11 days and none of my nails are chipping or peeling, and they didn't even sand them before application. All of the staff were great. I appreciated the liners they put in the foot bath. We will be back next time I'm in town. read more

Here I am, a year later of continuously going to LT and still love it just as much as the first day I went. Alex runs an incredible shop, truly. There isn't one technician in this salon that I was not pleased with their work. My nails were always beautiful, well above terre haute standard and they staff really makes the effort to work with you and talk to you. I called and made an appointment for a mani pedi. I showed up five minutes early and was directed to a pedicure station. I sat at the pedi station for 25 minutes without anyone talking to me, saying hi, giving me an estimated time or even starting my water so I could soak. I stood up to leave and no one stopped me so I just left. read more

I've been going to LT Royal for over 2 years and have enjoyed it. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this nail salon, nor will I spend my time and money there. I had a French tip gel manicure on Sunday and by Friday my nails turned brown. Now, I researched and checked to see if this would be by any fault of my own. When I could not come up with an answer for why they would turn, and so quickly, I went into LT Royal. I spoke with the employee at the desk. He explained it was something I must have done (a chemical I used, tanning, etc). I expressed I had not done anything of the activities mentioned and explained the only "chemical" I had utilized was dish soap and body wash. He insisted that it was something I must have done and laughed when I questioned if it was something they had done. When I asked about having the gel removed, it would be $15. I expressed my disappointment, because I do enjoy the facility and nail techs. I understand not every experience will be perfect, but owning up to a mistake and fixing the service is important. I normally hate getting my nails done because I am a perfectionist when it comes to my nails, however I love coming here. It's the only place I will go to in town! I've gotten them done here 3 times now and I have yet to be displeased. I have natural, long nails and have gotten gel each time. There is no damage when they take off the gel (properly might I add). And, the manicure doesn't chip or lift up near the cuticles for multiple weeks. Just a really solid job. HIGHLY recommend!! :) read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I made an appointment for today at 1 LAST WEEK. I was getting a full set and my toes done. I waited almost 25 minutes before my toes were even started. Even worse, lily made Alex two appointments for 1. And there were two other appointments for 1 as well. So FOUR appointments at the same time. This place is TERRIBLE at time management. They might do a semi decent job but it is NOT worth it. After my toes were done I waited FORTY minutes and nobody came to do my hands (supposed to be Alex). I couldn't wait there anymore so I left. They didn't seem to care which made it worse because it is their fault. I will never go here again. I only recommend this place if you enjoy waiting at least the amount of time it takes to get your nails done. And a semi decent job at that. Don't worry about an appointment they take their walk ins ahead of those that specifically made an appointment. read more
