The bouquet was well packaged and easy to carry into the apartment. It was in a box but the water from the bouquet hadn't leaked into it. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I ordered the country garden bouquet for Mother's Day. I ordered the standard size, so I expected it to be smaller. I also read their little blurb about possibly needing to replace flowers due to high order volume. I understand that all. But what I got...Is completely different than what I wanted. The bouquet is supposed to be made up of roses, dianthus's and other filler stuff. My bouquet literally looked like shit. Two roses, two dianthuses, and a few other ugly flowers. I called, incredibly upset, and requested a refund. They told me to send them the pictures and I haven't heard ever since. I don't know how they feel comfortable giving customers these ugly bouquets. I had to go to Fred Meyers to buy roses to fill out the bouquet. Edit: got a refund after opening and escalating a case on PayPal. Do better, Nancy's floral. read more

They were very nice to me on the phone, and we're able to accommodate my request to have the flowers ready sooner. When I went there though, they weren't as nice and we're a bit confused. I was interested in Nancy's Floral Peace Lily Comfort Planter for my sister to be delivered to her husband's funeral. Prior to placing an order I had called to ask two very specific questions: (1) How tall is the plant and, (2) is the website photo showing a full, lush, tall plant, a good representation of what the actual plant will look like. I was told the plant would be at least 37" tall and that yes, the photo is a good representation. After talking with family members, I felt comfortable spending the asking price for such a nice plant. So I called the next day and placed my order for a large at $59.99. I was happy to pay the additional delivery charge as a plant that size would be difficult for me to carry and transport. The plant that was delivered was not as expected. It was small, lopsided, and skimpy. Other family members who had seen the website were as shocked as I was. I called Nancy's to express my disappointment. The woman I spoke with justified the difference between the website photo and the plant I purchased by informing me that the website photo is in fact a stock photo used throughout the United States and is not necessarily representative of what is available in any particular state at any particular time of year, adding that in time it will grow. Getting no satisfaction and feeling totally blown off, I wrote a review. Owner, General Manager, Rob Cook's, response to my review was extremely rude. Basically, saying that I had lied. Saying that my "questioning regarding plant size and representation are simply not true" and "This line of questioning just did not occur" and "at no time was the height of the plant being (at least 37") tall conveyed to you" and "your review does not accurately depict what we sent you or your experience on this order." He also corrected me by saying that there is only one size, small. However, at the time I placed my order there were in fact two sizes, small = $49.99 and large = $59.99. After my review, the information on the website was changed listing only one size, small = $59.99. He also added a disclaimer that reads "plant sizes and fullness may vary due to growing seasons and market variants." When placing a call to this store a recorded message states that 'calls may be monitored and recorded'. I replied to his response pointing out the time and day I had made my original information seeking call, inviting him to check the recording to verify my truthfulness. With complete honesty I was able to rebut several of his slanderous statements. He has yet to respond. Nancy's Floral in Gresham, Oregon claims to have a "Happiness Guarantee" and promises "100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back". I am not only disappointed in the quality of the plant I purchased for my grieving sister, but in the lack of responsibility taken to correct the situation. Rob Cook and his staff are rude, insensitive, insulting and disrespectful. Not only to me but to several other reviewers who had less than positive things to say. It is much easier for Rob Cook to call me a liar than to admit that the plant they sold me was less than acceptable. They simply do not stand behind their guarantee. read more

My son got a corsage for prom and the flowers had brown spots all over them...it was to late to get another one...Then one of the flowers fell off at prom...super sad!!! thank you for responding...but I should have been more detailed in my review...there was brown on all the flowers if it had been one petal I would have just pulled it off. This was my first time ordering from Nancy's Florist. Since they had positive reviews, I was so excited to try them out. I paid extra for chocolates but the recipient didn't receive them by mistake. When I called the shop to let them know, they were busy with other orders but stopped to fix it immediately! They made it right and exceeded my expectations. Excellent customer service!!! An arrangement for my nephew's service was ordered to be delivered to the funeral home by 3:00 pm. and this was noted on the invoice. The viewing was scheduled for 4 - 7 pm. (there will to be funeral) The arrangement arrived at 6:30 pm three hours late, when only a few family members were still there. It's a real shame, the arrangement is absolutely gorgeous. I'm deducting two stars for the late delivery. Seems from the reviews, which I've now read, that this a common problem for this business. It's a shame, I prefer to give my business to this type of small local business but they won't get another order from us or and we definitely won't recommend them. read more

Really awful terrible service. Despite many many requests to simply leave 2 separate deliveries, our wishes were ignored, we were lied to that the driver would return and lastly asked to drive 40 miles round trip to pick up a package. First floral delivery arrived 24 hrs late after I asked for it to be canceled. Second Fathers Day gift from my daughter was never received. We asked them to simply leave by our gate. Did not happen. Last excuse was 'hot sun' in the morning when it was cloudy and about 64 degrees. It was at that point, a notice was left that we should drive to Gresham from SW Portland to 'pick it up'. How many ways can they say they don't care? At a certain point, it is just an obvious lack of business acumen and common sense. Added June 19th...I kind of feel sorry for florists that have to deal with Big 800 Brother, Much of this situation is the responsibility of 1-800-Flowers. Their customer interaction and communication is reminiscent of 'The Stepford Wives'. No one is responsible for anything. Everything is always very wonderful and smiley, but there is a terrible lack of substance and real communication. read more

After speaking with Rob, and quite frankly cooling down a bit, I do understand that things "do happen" when part time help is employed. Rob placed a note in my file positively identifying the correct house so that this should not happen in the future. I appreciate Rob listening to my concerns relative to how his staff handled my situation and believe that his shop will provide the good service that I was used to prior to this unfortunate experience. Placed an order on Thursday to have some flowers ($99 arrangement) delivered to my Aunt. She informed me that it wasn't up to Nancy's standard. I drove from Vancouver to Gresham to look at it myself and I immediately took it back for a refund. At first the manager said she wouldn't refund the money. I stood my ground and asked her if she thought it was worth $99 and she found all kinds of excuses to back her decision. I told her that the gal who took my order said they had all the flowers to make the arrangement I picked out. It looked NOTHING like the photo! The flowers were wilted and literally looked like someone grabbed a bunch of flowers and threw it in a vase! The tulips were cockeyed which she said that's how they grow. The roses were completely bloomed and she said it was the nature of that type of rose. Bottom line is that it was the ugliest arrangement I've ever seen. We went back and forth and she ended up giving me a refund. No apology or parting comment which is a big no-no when you own a business. I know, we are small business owners. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will be sharing my experience with the people I know in Gresham. My Aunt works at Heidi's and will be doing the same. I wish we could do a zero star rating! Picked this place because it's local & we drive by it all the time. My dad placed an order first thing this morning he was told it would be delivered same day by noon. It never arrived by noon so he called back at about 3:30pm and was told "the driver will be back in about a half an hour and will go out again around four for his final deliveries that hopefully will be by five or before". I called at 5:04pm and was told they can't do anything except get my # for a call back from a manager because the shop is closed. Interesting how they were so quick to take an order & payment & promise a delivery by noon same day & now nothing! If you like dying, wilted flowers... This is the place! I ordered flowers through FTD for Mother's Day and Nancy's Floral is a vendor. Flowers arrived wilting, and a few brown on the edges, and to top it off, floating in an oversized vase, not what the image on the website looked like. If I could put a zero star I would. I never had a problem with this store until just yesterday, 11-26-13. The staff is usually very nice, attentive and great at their jobs. This was not the case on the 26th. I called in to place an Order of just 6 carnations to pick up in 15 min. I was going to make a quick stop before heading home to my wife to get her her favorite flower. I asked the guy on the phone for this order and he said "yes we can do that when you come in. You can pick out which color and how many and we can wrap it for you while you are here" I responded with "I can't wait though, that's why I'm calling in. If you can't or won't do it, I will just not come in, that's fine." He came back after a long pause and said "I would love to do that for you" and I said "awesome, I'll see you guys soon then". I could tell he was annoyed by this simple request; probably because it wasn't a big sale and he was doing something more important in his mind. That is speculation though. I arrive 15 min later and see the guy on the computer. Another lady, who has done this exact same request for me several times before asked how she could help me. I said I called in an order of 6 carnations. She asked my name and I tell her and at that point the guy turns to her and says that I need 6 carnations wrapped. So she starts to get the flowers. I said to them both "if you haven't started them I can't wait, that's why I called it in" she seemed confused and I said "I'll just go somewhere else" and turned around and walked out. In this down economy, one would think that a small local business would be trying to perfect their customer service skills instead of destroying them. I want to point out that this same guy has helped me before and every single other time, he has been rude, annoyed, and never once smiled. I unfortunately think he is either the owner or store manager or somehow related to the owner; that means this issue will never be resolved. The other staff members are the complete opposite from this guy. Even though they are nice, I would recommend to everyone to STAY AWAY from this place due to this one guy. When I told this to my wife later that day, she shared some horrific experiences with me about this flower shop as well. She said on several occasions she's seen them deliver dead flowers. Once to her great uncles funeral and once to her mother that was a gift from her father. All in all, I would not recommend anyone go here. This guy lied to me on the phone and has never been polite or respectful to me. The entire time he stood there looking at the computer and not once looked away. No apology from either employee, not a single attempt to make the situation right, not a plea from either of them to save face or help the customer. A dying economy calls for outstanding customer service and product, Nancy's Floral has neither. read more

(They were very nice but it seems my main flower of request somehow was almost non-existent) - The florist who created the arrangement took my complaint and was only argumentative and defensive. He was perfectly fine that the end result was me being unhappy (this was the morning of my grandmother's funeral ). - I went to Safeway ( before the funeral ) and added a dozen roses to each arrangement just to make myself feel better about how it looked. WOW! WOW! I called Nancy's right after I found out my niece was just released from the hospital after an emergency. I searched online for a local Gresham, Oregon florist to deliver flowers because I live in Reno, Nevada. My niece is only 7 years old and I was hoping to send something to a little girl that loves pink and purple. When I looked at pre-arranged styles online, I didn't see anything that seemed right. Most online arrangements were too large, too sophisticated, or too "get well soon" with yellow daisies... I talked to Morgan B. and she seemed to understand exactly what I was hoping to send. She even suggested adding glitter sticks in pink or purple. Glitter? For a little girl? Pink! AND Purple? Yes, please! Morgan B. worked with me to keep the arrangement inexpensive, which I greatly appreciate. I knew my niece would be MORE impressed with surprise of the doorbell ringing with a special delivery, just for her... making the cost of actual flowers unimportant. I even requested a smaller, shorter vase-- something my niece could touch and hold, without tipping it over. AND...the BEST PART?! Nancy's delivered to my niece in about an hour! Can I say WOW again? My niece called me immediately to thank me for the glitter. And the flowers. (Notice the order of priority?) My sister sent me a picture:) Thank you, Nancy's Floral! The arrangement was exactly as I hoped it would be. Bright pink and purple flowers with curly glitter sticks arranged in a simple, fresh, loving bouquet--not to tall or top-heavy. Perfect. I had a great experience with Nancy's. I ordered flowers through 1800 Flowers for my grandmother, who is unwell and lives in this area. Nancy's was the shop 1800 Flowers used. She was hospitalized the day they were scheduled to deliver flowers to her home, so she could not receive them. Linda from the shop called me to let me know they were unable to deliver the flowers and asked when they should reschedule. They gave me no guff at all about having to make a second trip, took them instead to the hospital the following day (no extra charges or anything), threw in an extra balloon, and the flowers were beautiful. I'm sorry if others had less promising experiences with the shop, but I found them to be professional, accommodating, and sincere. Not all flowers symbolize joyous occasions, and I appreciated their hassle free service during a trying time. read more

I live in Pennsylvania and my important lady was working at the Dallas Fort Worth airport over valentine's day. I used yahoo.com to search florist near the airport. I selected this florist because I thought they knew the area and could easily make a nice floral arrangement to her on this important day.. not so, because their advertizement indicated they were local but this is not the truth for they are merely 'a shister' making a middle man profit from around Seattle Washington and then making the referal not as a retail customer but as a wholesaler/distributor/reseller. You can guess what happened...I paid for a nice floral arrangement and never got delivered because they could not speak for their referring florist.. they (Nancy's Florist) called me at 2:00 PM VALENTINE's Day and said they could not have it delivered on this day because it was half over and I could not find another florist in the middle of this busy day to fulfill the job.. Very bad experience with this shop, when I ordered a floral arrangement for a funeral service. I placed it 4 days before the event, and the flowers were barely delivered by the time gravesite service started. It didn't look at all as what we ordered and paid for, starting with it being a smaller size, and was missing even the ribbon with the sympathy message on it. They are pricey, and the family was not even aware we sent them flowers. This is dishonest business, don't buy from them at all costs! read more
