I went to Golden Dental Solutions after experiencing a tooth ache for nearly a month. This was my first appointment since I had not established care after moving to the area. During my appointment I was told that I had multiple cavities and gingivitis, just a few months after my last routine cleaning with my primary dentist, who had no concerns. I expressed to the hygienist and dentist that I was in graduate school (studying healthcare). Ultimately, it was recommended that I pay for a $900 out of pocket gingivitis treatment and nearly $400 for two sealants. This immediately gave me red flags. My symptoms ended up being the result of TMJ dysfunction. I saw a physical therapist and the issue was fixed in 3 sessions and I saved myself $1300+. It is sad that this is what the dentist industry has become. read more

Superb dentists. Above par office staff. And I'm very attached to my hygienist. I have had dental work ranging from simple 6-month check-ups to Invisalign retainers to three crowns and I've been really happy with the both outcome and how I was treated by the dentists and staff. The front office team has also been exceptional in dealing with insurance and explaining what's covered prior to my appointments. Finally - my hygienist is what keeps me coming back. She's upped my home care game, does the best job cleaning I've ever had, and I actually just enjoy her a person. Great overall dental practice. read more

Agreed with previous reviews that the front office/admin staff is the downfall of this practice. I received a call asking me on a Thursday prior to Labor Day weekend to confirm my appointment for the following Wednesday at 11:00am. I informed them that I was waiting for a surgery to be scheduled for my son who had sustained a serious knee injury. I told her I really doubted it would fall on the same day, but that I would know within their 48-business hours cancellation window and would confirm or reschedule. She said they were closing the office on the Friday prior to Labor Day and wouldn't be there, so they had to release the appointment. I said I felt that was really inflexible, considering it was their choice to close on a business day and no consideration is being given to the fact that I am a long-time patient and most of my family goes there also. She didn't budge. I said I find this upsetting enough to change practices for myself and 2 children. I'm just requesting a compromise given that you are choosing to close on a business day and I would be abiding by their cancellation policy. She said "sorry you feel that way". And that was that. For that level of humanity and customer service, they might as well switch to chatbots. Moving on. It's unfortunate because I have had all positive experiences with the actual dental staff. read more

It saddens me to leave this office as it was the first place I've felt like I recieved quality care. We have had a series of unfortunate experinces with the front office team that does not mirror the service from dental team. As a Golden resident and someone who works in the area I cannot in good conscience recommend this office to clients, friends, neighbors, or family. I pride myself of giving places the benefit of the doubt, do not expect the same from Golden Dental Solutions. I do not like to leave reviews until after sought resolution personally through management. When they are unresponsive as a consumer we are only left with this option. Helpful tips when looking into this office to ensure you do not fall victim to their policies and procedures they will only make you aware of at the time of issue. 1). Always ask if the treatment/procedure they recommend is covered by your insurance. - They will not inform you of this or of any issues with providers at time of booking. They will not be helpful in solutions or in resolution matters after the fact. Example: Booked a specific treatment. It was shared after the treatment this particular insurance companies sometimes denies coverage. They indicated it has happened before with other patients. The office manager was not helpful in suppling documentation needed to resolve the matter myself. After months of work I was able to resolve the matter and get reimbursed, the burden of work will be soley on the patient not their office. 2). Ask for a copy of all polices and procedures as it pertains to appointments and billing before determining this office. Example Appointment Setting: They allow one missed appointment all other appointments missed understandably have a service charge. You will be responsible for all appointments made through this office. If you forget or loses your schedule for any reason and need to confirm with front desk staff. If the front desk staff gives inacurate information, you are still responsible. I missed an appointment called to confirm any others and was told of only two of five appointments scheduled. This resulted in a second missed appointment. Durng my time at this office of almost five years I missed three appointmets, one due to covid, one due to traveling, and one due to inaccurate information shared by front desk staff. Do not expect any sympathy for things outside your control or ownership of their mistakes. Example Billing: Payment is due at time of service, even if service was not provided due to missed appointment. If they send you a bill with a due date, your payment is still due before the terms of the billing statement. They will call you and demand payment over the phone, not ask demand. Regardless of your good payment history with their office. I have twice now been made to feel like someone who never pays their bills with this office over the smallest amounts this office has recieved from me. read more

Really impressed with these guys! They don't just look at my teeth, they really look at the big picture of my sleep, and overall quality of life. I feel like they put a lot more care into what they do, and go deeper in the services they offer. Plus, everyone who works there is so incredibly kind and friendly. Well, I gave this dental office a second chance, but they have proven to me that their main concern is overcharging, taking advantage of their patients. Update: never have a experienced so much pain at the dentist. I'm not one to drop an F-bomb in public but "that hurts" wasn't getting the point across. They were more interested in their weekend plans, nail color, etc than my comfort. Won't be back. I saw Dr. Gill about a year ago. The receptionist was very friendly, Dr. Gill not so much. She was condescending. She "lectured" me on teeth care, which I did not appreciate, since I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on my teeth & take very good care of them. I left feeling chastised. I have gone to see Shauna and both Doctors every six months for years. Mom goes, wife goes, brother goes. It is really they only reason I go to Golden. It's not even on my way to anything. I literally go out of my way to have my teeth cleaned and inspected by this staff. Shauna is awesome, skilled, gentle and honest. The front office staff is friendly and informative. I did not expect to enjoy my first visit to Dr. Gill's office, however, I left feeling very informed on my dental future, educated on my symptoms, and optimistic that I can have a happy, healthy mouth in the future. I hadn't been to the dentist in four years (yikes!), but instead of chastising me, both Shauna (hygienist) and Dr. Gill made me feel comfortable and that I could treat and restore the issues I currently have from neglecting my mouth for so long. I appreciated their thoroughness and was happy they offered solutions for ongoing issues that I had mentioned to previous dentists to no avail. They also did not push any procedures on me or guilt me into spending more. They simply provided options with literature I could research myself so that I can make an informed decision without relying on something someone told me. I appreciated everything about my visit and can't leave out Kelsey who was able to fit me in and accommodate my schedule for future appointments. I have been coming here for cleanings and fillings and have always had a great experience. Both dentists take the time to explain their treatment plan and the hygienists do a thorough job while being gentle. I recently had my crowns replaced and they look completely natural, a complete upgrade from my previous crowns! During the replacement we tried to not use any anesthetic but I was sensitive so Dr Kenson quickly numbed me and the treatment was a breeze; I didn't feel a thing! read more
