I have been coming to see Dr. Berryhill and his team for 11+ years now. This is the first dentist…read morethat I don't dread going to see (and that says a LOT!) I've had a lot of terrible dental work done in the past and my teeth and gums have suffered from it. He always makes sure that you're comfortable and can't feel anything. He is actually the one that pointed out that my front teeth were broken (I chipped them a couple of times when I was younger and they did bonding which doesn't last forever) They submitted it to my insurance and my insurance actually covered almost all of my 2 front veneers! They turned out absolutely beautiful and completely natural. That was about 9 years ago and they are still just as perfect from when I got them. More recently, I had to have a re-treatment on an old root canal (result of shotty dental work from 2 old crowns that I had to have replaced) and an infection was down there. I went to the endodontist (Dr. Horsely is also amazing!) and got it done but he said the one next to it would likely need to be completely removed and I'd have to get a dental implant. SO scary! I went back to Dr. Berryhill and we were both super shocked about this. I just had those 2 crowns replaced by him the year prior and he wasn't ready to give up on that tooth! Instead of just taking advantage and costing me a ton of money; he came up with a plan to save that tooth. We did several rounds of an antibiotic that goes under the gum line and it worked! Here I am 2 years later and the infection is gone and I didn't have to get an implant! Every single person at this office is super friendly and truly gets to know you. I truly appreciate that Dr. Berryhill and his team actually care about you and really get to know you! We've moved a few times since I've been a patient here and I refuse to go anywhere else. I'll be devastated to have to find a new dentist if we ever move states because no one else out there even compares! I was also able to get my husband to come in regularly for his cleanings :) I recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist!

He was the first one to tell me that my sleep apnea (recently diagnosed) could be the cause of my oral issues! OMG! Unlike other dentists he never made feel bad about the state of my oral situation, I always brushed 2+× a day but was fighting a losing battle & I didn't understand why. Since he's been my dentist, my advocate everything has changed & I'm proud! I love his team, everyone is so kind. With all the issues I used to have I would pay and pay but never got ahead, here I'm never reccomended something I don't need. I couldn't ve happier... my whole family goes here now :)

After realizing I was sick with mercury poisoning, I went looking for a mercury safe dentist and…read morecame across Dr. Engler's name. She is an IAOMT general member, which I believe means she has some education about mercury toxicity and practices safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings. She also accepts my insurance, a huge plus. (If you need amalgam removal and you don't have insurance, check out Delta Dental of Colorado. They cover it!) I opted for the Clifford Dental Materials Compatibility blood test to make sure I woudn't have a bad reaction to the new fillings. At $300 it is pricey, but not as pricey as having to repeat the work. A separate breathing source is a good idea during amalgam removal. Dr. Engler has an oxygen tank with the tubes and thingie that goes over your nose. I opted to add in nitrous oxide. Just enough oblivion to take the edge off. Other protections are a rubber dam to isolate the tooth and catch amalgam particles, a big loud vacuum to suck away the toxic vapor, sunglasses, and hearing protection earmuff things like the ones jackhammer operators wear. My clothing was covered head to ankle - not quite toe - in cozy blankets. I brought in my phone in airplane mode and played binaural beats on my headset under the jackhammer-muffs to keep my mind calm. Dr. Engler and her staff were understanding when I told them I might cry because of traumatic dental experiences as a child. (PTSD and other anxiety disorders are common with mercury toxicity.) They were also extremely kind to me when, on my second amalgam removal visit, I was so sick I couldn't think straight and could barely stumble into the dentist chair. Since then, my new composite fillings are settling in fine, my health is much improved, and I have Dr. E to thank for starting me on this journey back to regaining my health and my life. A side note that some may find useful, funny, or cool: Dr. Engler makes no secret of her faith. There are lots of inspirational Bible wall hangings, religious music, pamphlets and such around the office. It is probably because I am a non-Christian from Texas that initially I wondered if this was going to be the right dentist for me. I have had unpleasant experiences with other health practitioners who were that overtly Christian. However, when I met Dr. Engler I was impressed. She understood how sick I was and answered all my questions. Nobody crossed the professional line or pushed it any further than a friendly "God bless". Christ was inclusive, real Christians are inclusive, and Dr. Engler is the real deal. She made a good impression, unlike those pushy Christians in college who were so hot to "save" me. Respect!

My kids love it here too. The entire staff is nice and friendly. Plus, they give the kids xylitol gum after appointments, and the toys they give after the appointments are really good. They don't take dental insurance, but their prices are very low. With our dental insurance option, it's cheaper to just decline dental insurance and pay Dr. Engler out of pocket.
