Painful teeth cleaning and rude lady who does the impressions. And the Dr barely looked in my mouth. The equipment is ancient!

Some things and people are right with this place, but too much that's apt to go wrong. First visit,…read moreand perhaps a bit after, you get the star/good treatment. After that, I saw several things go downhill, from how some of them talk to you, to quality of cleaning job (trainee?), to even willingness to provide reminder cards. Have never seen a dental office become such a struggle for routine service (or talk to you like you work for them). Lesson learned: don't take chances on a new place without referral from a patient who has been with them at least two years.

Dr. Burchfield has ruined my tooth! I came in for a simple cleaning, then asked about a night…read moreguard, sine my family doctor indicated I may be grinding my teeth at night. First, they took a mold of my teeth, which was very painful. It put a lot of pressure on the teeth when they pulled it out. I was back a couple days later with extreme sensitivity in my two front teeth (veneers). I was given some gel to put on it, and told that it was probably a bit of cement that came loose, exposing a sensitive area on my tooth. It did get better, so I waited for my night guard. When it came in, I went in to pick it up and tried it on. I immediately winced and explained that it was putting a lot of pressure on my front teeth. I was concerned that it was going to break off my veneer. However, Dr. Burchfield insisted that it fit correctly, and that it would not hurt my teeth. He said it was just in my head and I was saying non-truths. He told me to where it for a week, and I would get used to it. Less than a week later, I finally stopped wearing it, as it was hurting my teeth way too bad. After some of the pain subsided, I felt like I could move my front tooth with my tongue. Sure enough, I looked in the mirror and it was wiggling. I called immediately to make an appointment to see him again. He checked the tooth, and said that the veneer was fine and not loose. He did acknowledge though that my tooth was loose, and said that this was normal. NORMAL?! My tooth was not loose before you made me wear this mis-fit night guard that I told you was putting extreme pressure on my front teeth, and now one of them are loose and you think that's just normal? He said that was just my opinion. I demanded a refund for the night guard, that he wanted to try and remake, and said I would be seeing another dentist for a second opinion. The day I got the fitting I also had X-rays, so I'm curious to see the difference from then until now (after wearing the night guard). While he did refund me the $175, that doesn't come close to making it right. I now have a loose tooth! From what I understand, that will be permanent, and the only resolution would be to pull it and get an implant. Otherwise, I'll have a wiggly tooth that is likely more susceptible to infection. I wish I had never gotten a mouth guard, and that I had never trusted Dr. Burchfield. I understand people make mistakes, but he won't acknowledge his and make it right, and I have to suffer for it.

Agreed with previous reviews that the front office/admin staff is the downfall of this practice. I…read morereceived a call asking me on a Thursday prior to Labor Day weekend to confirm my appointment for the following Wednesday at 11:00am. I informed them that I was waiting for a surgery to be scheduled for my son who had sustained a serious knee injury. I told her I really doubted it would fall on the same day, but that I would know within their 48-business hours cancellation window and would confirm or reschedule. She said they were closing the office on the Friday prior to Labor Day and wouldn't be there, so they had to release the appointment. I said I felt that was really inflexible, considering it was their choice to close on a business day and no consideration is being given to the fact that I am a long-time patient and most of my family goes there also. She didn't budge. I said I find this upsetting enough to change practices for myself and 2 children. I'm just requesting a compromise given that you are choosing to close on a business day and I would be abiding by their cancellation policy. She said "sorry you feel that way". And that was that. For that level of humanity and customer service, they might as well switch to chatbots. Moving on. It's unfortunate because I have had all positive experiences with the actual dental staff.

It saddens me to leave this office as it was the first place I've felt like I recieved quality…read morecare. We have had a series of unfortunate experinces with the front office team that does not mirror the service from dental team. As a Golden resident and someone who works in the area I cannot in good conscience recommend this office to clients, friends, neighbors, or family. I pride myself of giving places the benefit of the doubt, do not expect the same from Golden Dental Solutions. I do not like to leave reviews until after sought resolution personally through management. When they are unresponsive as a consumer we are only left with this option. Helpful tips when looking into this office to ensure you do not fall victim to their policies and procedures they will only make you aware of at the time of issue. 1). Always ask if the treatment/procedure they recommend is covered by your insurance. - They will not inform you of this or of any issues with providers at time of booking. They will not be helpful in solutions or in resolution matters after the fact. Example: Booked a specific treatment. It was shared after the treatment this particular insurance companies sometimes denies coverage. They indicated it has happened before with other patients. The office manager was not helpful in suppling documentation needed to resolve the matter myself. After months of work I was able to resolve the matter and get reimbursed, the burden of work will be soley on the patient not their office. 2). Ask for a copy of all polices and procedures as it pertains to appointments and billing before determining this office. Example Appointment Setting: They allow one missed appointment all other appointments missed understandably have a service charge. You will be responsible for all appointments made through this office. If you forget or loses your schedule for any reason and need to confirm with front desk staff. If the front desk staff gives inacurate information, you are still responsible. I missed an appointment called to confirm any others and was told of only two of five appointments scheduled. This resulted in a second missed appointment. Durng my time at this office of almost five years I missed three appointmets, one due to covid, one due to traveling, and one due to inaccurate information shared by front desk staff. Do not expect any sympathy for things outside your control or ownership of their mistakes. Example Billing: Payment is due at time of service, even if service was not provided due to missed appointment. If they send you a bill with a due date, your payment is still due before the terms of the billing statement. They will call you and demand payment over the phone, not ask demand. Regardless of your good payment history with their office. I have twice now been made to feel like someone who never pays their bills with this office over the smallest amounts this office has recieved from me.

First and Last... I…read morewas gravely disappointed in their lack of providing me with a thorough evaluation as promised. I went in thinking I had a cavity and was told I would have a full appointment to not only see how they could help with the pain, but also give me my annual check up. I didn't get the full evaluation because "they didn't have time." I left in pain and was given a very, very aggressive oral surgical plan requiring a dental implant, major oral surgery, six months of healing time, a "flipper" (fake tooth) for my missing tooth that would take six months to recover before said implant could be put in. Having never had any oral issues in my life, I was crying my eyes out and left terrified and very confused. I didn't even know what was wrong because it wasn't explained to me. They took three x-rays and referred me to a "Surgical Artist" on the other side of town. Told me to make an appointment and they would see me after that... Before I could even ask questions, I was looking at around $6K out of pocket because jeez, I just used all my insurance coverage on the three x-rays they took... for the YEAR. No, no payment plans here. But, in the office, they had a fireplace, a Keurig machine with multiple choices, a refrigerator, a large screen TV to stream Netflix... but no, no payment plans available. I don't know too many people that walk around with $6K in their pockets. I was encouraged by a good friend to get a second opinion and I did. THANK GOODNESS. Not only did the other Dentist see me immediately, they didn't even charge me for my visit and they took 6 x-rays, spent about 1 hour looking at possibilities and had me at their Endodontist within an hour for a root canal. I avoided an unnecessary and very expensive surgery by going to a practice where they actually care about their patients and take their time to find the right solutions. I walked out with my problem fixed within a few hours, a payment plan and a Dentist that I will see for the rest of my life, as well as, refer to everyone I know.

They go out of their way to be kind and answer questions and explaining things to me. They are very good about making sure ny insurance and information is all set and have helped me when I had some confusion on it and changes. This last weekend they went above and beyond. I called and left a voicemail on Friday night when my crown fell out of my mouth from eating a gummy vitamin (if u have a crown I highly recommend not chewing vitamin gummies lol) anyways they called and texted me at 730 am Saturday morning and even though they were fully booked told me to come in and they would squeeze me in to get this fixed. I happened to call a couple other places as well just to see who would call or reach out first and no one else even responded back to my phone call. But Comfort Dental in Golden specifically has just been phenomenal with this kind of stuff. Texting and leaving me a voicemail with such a quick follow up on a Saturday morning. And when I came in as always they were a true delight. I was welcomed with a smile double checked my information took me almost immediately back. They checked the crown cleaned it up checked my teeth made sure nothing was broken. Cleaned the inside of my mouth and did the work of putting it back into place. And we also made a follow up appointment for my next cleaning. Everyone from the front of the office to the back was and is so kind and friendly and they all seem like they get a long. It's such a great vibe here. I was in and out within a half hour tops! I've had issues with other dentists offices in the past but not this one. They actually provide a service like the name of this office COMFORT dental ! Thank you !

At 63, I don't believe that I needed to have them removed as was previously suggested to me by a prior dentist. There was a large gap between the crown and the adjacent tooth, which collected food. When I had my teeth cleaned at another dentist a few months later, the hygienist said that she felt sorry for me having to put up with that crown. Shortly thereafter, one of the three fillings fell out. Then I had x-rays done at a different dentist and found that the area that was ground out of a tooth was not filled completely, requiring replacement of the filling. In summary, root canal on the crown and replacement of two of three fillings. In all fairness, I can't blame Dr. Wachuta because most of the work was performed by girls in his office.
