I called and talked to them and asked a few questions and they were really nice so I went with them and it's been a great experience. I had an ACL repair 7 years ago with no physical therapy afterwards and it took me 3 months to walk without crutches and 1.5-2 years to kneel on it that knee. I just had ACL/meniscus this time, same knee. After a month my knee was strong and I was walking without much of a limp. I'm so happy how well it's going in terms of my strengths, flexibility and mobility. I have been many times now and this place is amazing. What they do does not even compare to the place I went before... I see actual results and improvement every week with their help. Everyone is professional and friendly. The physical therapists are very knowledgable and have been amazing at guiding my recovery. Josh identified my weak areas that support the knee and each visit would change or add exercises based on my weaknesses at the time. I can feel my knee and leg getting stronger as I do the home exercises. Once something is stronger they identify other weaknesses and work on them with you. They build them all up and gradually while telling you how to safely do the exercises. I've seen several other people too and they have all been good. The people at the desk are really nice as well as all the assistants. They get you in on time and are really great with setting appointments up far ahead in advance. I like everyone there. Been writing this update since I started there and it's now been almost five months and I'm still impressed with Josh, my PT there. My recovery is going well in comparison to my previous surgery and it's great to have such an awesome resource.

I had been to more corporate-type PT offices in Santa Rosa, where the PTs would give me exercises and then leave the room while I did them. So impersonal! I needed someone to do physical manipulation, and to show me how to move correctly so I wouldn't re-injure my shoulder. Sebastopol Physical Therapy is a warm and homey place full of caring and knowledgeable people who had real concern for my well-being. I've seen them for a couple of months, and the range of motion in my shoulder is almost back to normal. We also discovered that my mouse, keyboard, and chair were causing the problems with my neck and shoulders, and I've been able to make changes so that my shoulder doesn't freeze up again. I really enjoy Steve, Meghan, Sarah, and the entire staff. It was a great experience, and I recommend them if you want to get to the root of your pain or injuries and get better!

Vickie will not schedule a surgery date until I get an EKG. Novato says they will not give me an EKG until I have a date planned for surgery. I called Vickie and told her that. " Well you need to find a new Dr.". Novato staff member called her to see what there rules are. after NCH hung up, her words were "She is Rude.". NCH made an EKG appointment. I got it. due to a past history problem with Dr Howes office, I called Novato to see if they sent it. Yes twice they told me. I called Vickie, three times, to ask if they have Received the results. it's been two weeks. I have not heard from her. In paper Dr Howes gave me, it said I have to have an EKG 4-10 days prior to surgery. it's been two weeks. I don't even have an appointment. because of Vickie, I would look for another Dr. But I heard Dr Howes the best. I am sure Vickie is a good scheduler. But she does not know how to work with people.
