This is our first time eating at Namkeen. They welcomed us right away and told us about some favorites from the menu. We ordered the Daily Special of Wings. We were able to taste some of the sauces and they were great! The front room is spacious and clean. They have World Cup Flags all over which is cool! The restrooms are clean and available. They're the perfect combination of savory sweet heat with a crispy crunchy texture that just can't be beat. Plus the sauce that comes with them is off the hook and the Pickles are a nice touch too. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is loaded with so many incredible spices in it most likely because everything they make here has a one of a kind Pakistani infused flavor. Excellent Coleslaw and Huge Fried Chicken pieces that are so big they literally don't even fit on the Brioche Bun. The food here is good. Spicy maple chicken wings are my favorite. They are sticky and crispy. I only wished they had ranch. The chicken waffle sandwich is massive. It has two large tenders and a nice kick. It has some heat to it, but I added honey at home which made it divine. Mac and cheese is just OK. I went to the grand opening of Namkeen in Union and was lucky enough to be #34 out of the first 100 people, which meant I got a free Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I ordered the medium spice level, and overall it was tasty and flavorful!! To be honest my expectations weren't super high since it was a brand new place just opening, but the sandwich still exceeded what I expected. The chicken itself had great flavor and a good amount of seasoning. Great job there. That said, the organization during the opening could've been better. The wait ended up being longer than necessary, and it looked like the team behind the counter wasn't really working in an efficient assembly line yet. Totally understandable for day one, but it definitely slowed things down. A few food notes: 1) The chicken (Nashville) was flavorful, but the sandwich needed more coleslaw. I could barely taste it. 2) They were a bit sparing on the sauce, which would've helped balance the sandwich. 3) The food wasn't as hot as I expected when I got it. 4) I wish the chicken piece was more circular instead of long, because it stuck out like a hot dog and made it harder to get a balanced bite. 5) Could definitely use more pickles. They only gave one sliced in half on mine. On the positive side, the staff were really nice, and you could tell everyone was trying their best during a hectic grand opening. I was so happy to finally try this place. I came for the grand opening and it did not disappoint. I ordered the renowned Nashville sandwich, which I thought was really good. I also got mild sauce, which is a great choice as a I thought even that was a bit spicier than I thought being that it was mild, but still complemented the sandwich. Very good if you don't like spiciness, I would probably say no spice at all. The chicken was perfectly crispy as well and overall, it was just a very good sandwich. I also got the masala fries, which was my favorite part of the meal. The fries were crispy, and the masala powder sprinkled all throughout the fries, made it especially tasty and flavorful. I think that there is excellent value in the meal in that the prices are very reasonable and a sandwich and fries could be a perfect meal. read more

We've been here twice and both times have been massive let downs. We brought it home the first time and thought maybe it was because we weren't eating it fresh. We ordered ahead today and walked in to eat it there. The girl seemed like she had no idea about our order, that we had placed 20 minutes ago, said it would be 2 minutes. we waited 15 minutes. The food was tossed in the bag with the Mac and cheese container literally on its side. When we opened everything it was room temp cold. No heat from any of our food and everything tasted old. The loaded tikka fries were soggy and looked nothing like the picture online. The picture I included is how the fries looked when we opened the box. Which was a bit off-putting. Honestly so disappointing. Overall for the price and hype I would say it was severely below expectations. read more

One of the best hot chicken places in the tri state area, hands down! Namkeen is always a great spot for desi bites and my friends and I love going there. The Union location is so spacious and has great parking. I love the wall art they have in the space it really makes everything so bright and lively! And of course, I absolutely love the staff there.
