That level of patience meant more to me than I can put into words. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained exactly what he could realistically accomplish. He never tried to oversell me or push unnecessary treatments. I even asked about Botox for my upper lip, and he told me, "You don't need it." That kind of integrity is rare and made me trust him even more. I've had a septoplasty in the past, and my nose was still noticeably crooked. After my liquid rhinoplasty, I'd honestly say it's about 85-90% improved. I couldn't believe the difference. I was told that this type of lip shape was something "only colored women have." At the time I didn't fully process how inappropriate that comment was, but looking back, it was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If the result wasn't suitable for my anatomy or couldn't be achieved safely, that could have been explained without bringing race into the conversation. I don't care how long ago it happened. It was not okay, and I think people should be made aware of the kind of comments that were made during my appointment. Consultations should be based on anatomy, safety, and the client's aesthetic goals. Not racial stereotypes.
