She hasn't aged a day and she remembered some of my dietary concerns so that was amazing. She also offered options to the dishes which is great for a small takeout place. Ordered chow mien, general Tso chicken and a mixed tofu dish. This place is more than home cooking, it is restaurant quality dishes without a big price tag. The service is fantastic because she is nice and the food comes out quickly. Glad she has wanted to return and has the passion to share with the local community. It is worth a stop in for lunch or takeout to feed a hungry family.

The tofu is decently tender, small pieces of minced pork and a savory spicy sauce on a whole container of rice. 4.5/5. Eggplant with minced pork in spicy sauce on rice. The flavor on this is on point with a nice sweet and hint of spicy sauces. Eggplant is cooked well as is the meat. Sits on a giant bed of rice. 4/5 Rice noodles with sliced pork. The rice noodles are cooked well and the sliced pork is incredibly tender. There's bean sprouts and onions and green onions though I feel the onions may have been a tad undercooked. Still for the amount of food and flavor, it's great. 5/5. Price: Each dish came in around 6-7$ which is crazy cheap considering the amount of food you get. Don't expect any super high quality ingredients but this is your cheap and quick takeout that will fill you up.

2.5 star…read more A-OK to the tasty Rice. For a person that doesn't like eating rice too much, I would have just order just the rice! Maybe that's the reason HK Eatery has the option to just getting the Rice ($3) without the Chicken for their Chicken Rice? Boneless Hainanese Chicken with Rice ($6.50) - chicken itself was not good: hard, tough, cold and dry even with dark meat. The soup of the day was really heavy and oily further made the chicken more tasteless. The lone lady there though is super nice. I might give HK eatery another chance but would have skip the chicken.

The rice it is served with is a lightly buttered and spiced rice.. yum yum yum..

The beef was so tender and rich with flavour as was the broth, bok choy, leeks and coriander. The fresh thin wide noodles were delicious too. I was so amazed at the skill and speed of watching hand-pulled noodles being made! They came from a small slab of dough in less than 60 seconds! You can choose from nine different shapes and sizes of noodles and watch someone hand-pull them through a glass window! So cool! This was a lot of food so I could only finish half and took the rest home. They have so many other dishes I want to try so I'll be back. Highly recommend! Big thanks to my server Joewin who helped make my first visit so welcoming and memorable! The service and meal arrived super fast because I arrived 11:30am on a Monday before lunch crowd. Service 4/5 Food 4/5…read moreAmbience 3.75/5 This is a casual family style restaurant offering a dinner and dim sum menu. We attended a dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was very accommodating with the size of our group. We were to be 17 but changed to 13 people at the last minute. Our reservation was for 5:00pm. They offered a large table to seat 10 and the table beside to seat up to 7. We decided to squeeze all 13 onto the table for ten. It was a tight squeeze but we would be able to see everyone. Our friends did the ordering for the meal. We had a ton of dishes coming out with several dishes coming at the same time and no space left on the lazy susan for all the food. We had to leave a few of the dishes on another vacant table behind our table until there was space for those dishes of food. We wanted to order the oysters but that was already sold out. We had a total of 17 dishes ordered and no leftovers (wow!) My favourite dishes of the evening: - [ ] Peking duck. The wraps were super soft and thin. The duck skin was crispy which I really enjoy. - [ ] Salt pepper fried calamari - [ ] Dry lobster - [ ] Lobster on E-Fu noodles - [ ] Stir fried spicy calamari with vegetables, in a crisp noodle basket, crunchy snap peas - [ ] Snow pea tips topped with bean curd sheets I gave the restaurant a 4* overall because of our dinner experience and service. Note: There is a bottle fee of $15 for every two bottles of wine. We actually wanted to attend for the crab dinner special but it is only offered Monday to Friday. The restaurant was very relaxed about letting our group stay to almost 9pm. Parking is available right outside of the entrance and around the side of the restaurant.
