Trying to find a good skin and wax place is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. It really is hit or miss, but i couldn't be happier to say that this was a big HIT. So for starters, it is a black owned business which was a personal plus. But the ambience, decor and professionalism were all on point. The glass doors are tinted with the business logo so that there is privacy from the outside looking in. When you enter into the lobby, you are greeted with the cutest decor and low lighting that puts you in a relax mood. From there , you enter into the changing area that includes a setup with lotion , deodorant and body sprays to use at your discretion. This is something that I did not we done at other spas in the area. I also loved that the robes were not the typically white cotton robes.Typically the white robes never fits right on me-- it either fits my hips and is huge to the top or fits my top and i barely have enough material to close at the bottom. Naked's black robes hug all your curves and provides more than enough coverage. Now to the actually treatment. I had a 60 minute therapeutic massage with Keyara which was amazing. She made sure to focus on the areas that were most of a concern for me and adjusted the temp of the bed to ensure I was most comfortable. Then I had a wax with Mollie. It had been a while so I was anticipating this to be a painful experience but Mollie's methods ensured minimal to no pain which was a big relief to me lol. I finished my experience with my first vajacial that will definitely not be my last. Christy provided a very soothing service while also answering a lot of questions I had about skin and facials in general. I was also given a post wax goodie bag that included post op instructions and an exfoliation glove. Everyone's professionalism and personalities combined with soothing instruments made this a great experience. That i would recommend others to try. Now just a few notes because nothing is perfect. I did have a hard time getting to the entrance of the location. Your gpa will likely take you to the back of the building if you turn on bricksome . If you actually turn right by daiquiri cafe or something like that, you will get to the front of the building easier. Also I wish the bathrooms had a shelf for your items while you change, but it looks like they may have been in the process of installing shelves because they were in the rooms just not on the walls yet lol. read more

You can choose from a list of pre-made herbs designed to produce specific outcomes, or you can pick and choose from a list. The set up is a private lounge with dim light and music to help set the mood. I'm sure you can probably make requests but I've always liked the neo urban vibe I've experienced. Water is provided to keep hydrated during your session. And our attendant was sure to check on us to see if we had any additional needs or requests. They use a handheld wax roller machine on their clients. I don't think it's sanitary (per my new wax tech) since it's shared and being rolled on my body, then rolled on your body, then rolled on the next client's body. After they use the handheld wax machine to apply the wax, they use wax strips to pull the hair off. I would allow christen to wax me but I noticed when she pulled the wax strip off she didn't apply any pressure afterwards. I then switched wax tech (#2) and I swear she did the same thing as christen! I was in so much pain and she left hair on my legs. Finally, I booked an appointment with another wax tech(#3) ( from Texas) and she used the correct technique . My wax barely hurt with her but unfortunately she's back in Texas. The ladies here use poor technique & they rush. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I would not recommend this establishment . The lady who did my wax was great, no issues there and I was happy to have found her (recommended by a friend). So I re-booked for my second appointment. Got there and was told she had an emergency. Emergencies happen which I do not mind at all, however the way they handled it was so unprofessional. I wasn't informed that she wasn't in today. I mentioned this and was told "yeah, since you are new we don't call you, we only call people who have been coming here for years." Make that make sense please? I found it to be a really odd "policy" as my time is just as valuable as any other paying customer. I'm sure If It had been me who had missed the appointment I would have been charged full price. The receptionist was so rude for no reason. She was very argumentative, told me she was in charge and that she didn't have time to call everybody. I was greeted upon walk in, which was nice. Unfortunately, I waited 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. I wasn't in a rush so it was OK, but in general - 15 minutes late is pushing it. I was happy with the end results of how my brows turned out, which is why I gave 3 stars. There were a couple things I did not like. 1) The stray hairs were not wiped from my face. I had to do that myself. When I was handed the mirror and asked if my brows looked ok, I stated "hold on, let me wipe these hairs away," hoping she would get the memo, but she did not. 2) When she was placing the wax strip on my brows, I felt pressure on my eye lids - it sounds silly, but it's like she was pressing too low. It didn't hurt, but it was uncomfortable. I've had brow waxes from many different salons and have never experienced that. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. I've never experienced a staff as rude as these women were. I originally made an appointment using the Vagaro app for Saturday. The app allowed me to book an appointment. I called to cancel because I wasn't going to be able to make it. The receptionist told me that they changed my appointment to the morning I made the appointment and would charge me for a no show. This business doesn't open on Saturdays. I wasn't aware when I made the appointment but none the less, I wasn't going to pay to an appointment time that I did not make. Two women argued with me, yelled at me over the phone, and would not listen to me . They accused me of making the appointment for Thursday. I DID NOT. I even proved to the rep that her system allowed me to make appointments for Saturday. They still were uncooperative and disrespectful! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE. It was hard to find the complex at first but the reception nicely explained it to me. I arrived 15 min early with my mask on. I did notice the receptionist sitting next to the one that was behind the glass had no mask on and it was a lot of people inside but I wasn't bothered because I had my own mask on. Pros: My appt was for 4:30pm and I was walking out at 4:15pm. I did arrive early but I appreciate not waiting and no time was wasted and I was almost 100% hairless. Maia - very professional, quick, good convo, used fresh sticks, very clean waxing, tweezed majority of hairs that did not come up from the strip, had face mask on during wax appt They do not sell products to you Provide personal wipes to freshen up before waxing Large building and lobby area looked nice Many esthetician's- I saw so many people that worked there Many rooms available and they also offer vagacial and facials(not available during Covid) Easy website that you can book and view service Reward card and after wax care instructions Con: It was so loud and noisy. The music is young not bad to me but it came off ghetto. The music was so loud the esthetician couldn't hear me when she knocked to enter the room. The room looked very shabby and unclean. Stains on the ceiling and the cart looked unclean. I got worried when I saw a stick sitting in the side with wax on it but she did not use it on me. They would do good to paint the room and ceiling white and just have a better presentation. After wax Maia did not make sure to wipe all the remaining wax off and did not powder or put any type of ointment on- at the bare minimum I'm used to vaseline or aloe Vera. Not mad but it's what I'm used to every esthetician doing Overall enjoyed my experience and Maia was great and I would rebook with her again. The facials won't be available till after Covid. I first when here for waxing services in December. I just visited again today and I booked a full body wax (which is $85). I shave my legs and armpits, so that was the only thing I didn't want for the full body wax. The waxer herself was very nice. I tipped her 20% because I liked her. After everything was done I went out to pay and my total was $100.. they decided to individually charge me for everything. I understand I didn't want a full body wax technically.. but i don't understand exactly why I was charged for everything individually when what I got done took up less time and product than what I booked for. I got my arms done for the first time and I'm not sure if I'm having a reaction to the wax or what but this is what my arms look like. There are several spots that she missed on my arms as well, but that's understandable because I do shave my arms and my hair wasn't that long to begin with. On top of all of this, when I went out to pay I felt very insecure. The staff didn't make me feel welcome or appreciated at all. They were a little busy due to it being Valentine's Day but that is no excuse to treat a customer like they don't matter. While checking out, the cashier wasn't too worried about my business and was focused on the girl behind me, even started conversation with her before I was done checking out. Honestly, I probably won't come back here even though I love the two waxers I had. I would rather have been told before my services that I was going to be charged $100 instead of $85. So I got a gift certificate awhile back and I had two services done. On my 2nd visit I tried the V-Steam... First of all it was amazing! I loved that they have a full menu of options for the herbs you can select. They do have some pre-mixed that target certain things like fertility, lighter periods etc. I created my own blend . The menu describes what each herb targets which helps you pick what works best for you. When I arrived they have music playing, always fun and upbeat, so that was a plus. After I checked in I went upstairs to the V-Steam area. It also had its own music...At this point I was still excited. The tech brought me in to the area which is a large room that is separated in half by a divider,in case you have a group together . She asked if it was my first time and I said yes. She simply said ok you can change and have a seat here. The room is closed off and at the time I arrived I was the only person . She provides me with what I'll call a skirt to cover your lower half as your sitting on the steam pot. Lights are dimmed, so it's calming ... except it's not because the music is on 25, and it's Cardi-B.. I love Cardi, but I'd like some calming music to go along with my 930 am steam please.. I was halfway thru my steam when another client came in .. I'm fine with that, except when she came in, the tech explained to her how to place the skirt ( I got no info) and she had to change in the room where I was already sitting.. Luckily us women are amazing and we come prepared. She wore a dress so she didn't have to expose herself. The woman sits down in the loud/zen space and begins to scroll thru her phone ... At this point I'm like ok, my zen is off because it's a dim room with aromatherapy and Cardi-B and now my fellow guest is all on her phone making the mood even worse .. My timer goes off the tech comes in and then I have to try and maneuver on my underwear trying not to flash the lady . I loved the steam, just wished there was a private area to change and maybe some rules about no phones for the 25/30 minutes your there... and some appropriate Zen music ! I have one year living in Metairie and I've gone to waxing spots around here and in New Orleans and by far around here it's been the most uncaring waxing done and expensive. Went for my the first time at the beginning of the month. Great atmosphere. I was kindly greeted on arrival and given clear instructions. I got a Brazilian wax service by Alondra. She was kind and made the service quick and painless as possible. I want to book again soon for a follow up however it's usually booked up for weeks at a time. I would suggest you book way ahead of time if you're interested in going. Overall it's a great spot, and I had a wonderful experience. I've been coming to naked since my sophomore year of college. My teammates recommended me to come here instead of WIt's been a year now my freshman year I went to European wax center and I can honestly say everything is different. I love the ambience and professionalism. They are all so sweet and make great conversation! I haven't gotten many other services there but I will consider doing so soon. They have also really made my wax process less painful and they have such great prices .. I mean you can't get that anywhere else at all. I just wanted to update this review and say that I am still having fantastic experiences a year later every time I get a wax at Naked and that I always recommend them. They have taken stringent precautions with the recent pandemic so that I feel safe going in, and even offered me a free 7 day touch up wax recently when one area couldn't be waxed due to a recent shave (there was an unexpected hot tub situation that required shaving my bikini line). If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I'm not the one to give a bad review, but I had the worst experience here. My friend recommended this place, so I wanted to give it a try. I was going to leave it alone but this happened to me. When I scheduled an appointment with a certain lady, I called and told them that I have arrived for them to tell me that "she isn't here." That's so unprofessional because I'm a college student that drove 40 minutes to this place and wasted my gas to be told that, so I took whoever was available. They gave me someone that I didn't feel comfortable with and she looked like she didn't know what she was doing. I never have pain during a Brazilian and she hurt me really bad. I had red bumps and the lady I go to right now (not this business) said that she could've damaged me. THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST WAX EVER. After I got home, I realized that she forgot a lot of hair. I called then I had to come back again....to waste my gas and time as always. LISTEN, I would never be the one to leave a bad review, but this stuck with me and I don't know want anyone else to have this problem. Just be lucky I didn't give any names. i have been there for other services but today was my first time getting a brazilian wax. the lady who serviced me did not make me feel comfortable at all. she said little to nothing the entire time AFTER telling me she was going to walk me through it. she just put the wax on there and started pulling. i requested that she count before she pulled it and she told me no and continued to roughly apply the wax. i like this place but i will never go to that lady again. i definitely recommend going there just don't go to the older lady. no people skills very rude read more

This establishment have cameras! My friends had a V Steam today and found out afterwards that a camera was in there! You are taking off your clothes and your private area is exposed!! We was not informed that we was being recorded! Not just us, but all the other customers! Not once did they disclose this information. The manger Ashley Ward gave a bs response of they never had a complaint before. My response was, your customers probably don't know! I ask for the owner information, she said she can't give it out.
