I really love Nery and her space in the Phenix Salon Suites. It's cozy, clean, and there is a huge…read moresense of community as her neighboring suitemates would poke their heads in from time to time. Her place definitely isn't the type to bring friends, as she is the only manicurist in her studio, but great for a little self-love! She offered wine and water, and she has a jar of chocolates. Enough to make any stressed person really happy. Pampering, begin! I'm super happy I stumbled across her Yelp page, and all the positive reviews. I messaged her through Yelp, and her son (or nephew?) was quick to respond back with how I could book an appointment with Nery. She is extremely packed on weekends and evenings, so I took a half day for myself and went on a random Tuesday morning. A regular, non-gel mani/pedi for me took about an hour and a half - just as estimated when I booked the appointment too! Nery was welcoming, and completely understanding that I am indecisive. I changed my nail colors at least 3 times, and spent more than half my manicure debating is I should change my pedicure color (I did). But who can resist when Nery has walls of OPI and Zoya colors? I'm a sucker for Zoya, and dozens of colors she had on her wall, I also have in my closet. That's how I knew I would love Nery - quality polishes. None of the gross Kleancolor stuff I see a lot at other salons in the area. I chose a matte green from Zoya, opting to not put a top coat on it because it's a matte and c'mon, it looks really good. My favorite part? When she broke out the hand-mixer turned pumice stone when it was pedicure time. I don't know why I loved it, but it craked me up. And it really got all my dead skin off the heels of my feet! Eventually, I nodded off for a few minutes because it got to be really relaxing - the music she was playing when I was there was a great Pandora station of chill dance music (think Sia and Kygo). In the end, my toes and nails looked great.

Even after moving to Orlando, I still make the drive back just to see her because she is truly amazing. I get endless compliments on my nails - from the design, length, to the overall health - and it's all thanks to her incredible skill. What blows me away is how I can show her an inspiration photo *once*, and she recreates it flawlessly without ever needing to look at it again. She knows her stuff, always gives the best advice, and I fully trust her judgment... except when I make her cut my super long nails every once in a while (I know it hurts her a bit inside, but she's a good sport about it!). I absolutely love Karol and recommend her 1000% to anyone looking for a top-tier nail technician.

My nails came out beautiful, but I don't recommend this nail salon. I was looking for a mobile nail…read moreservice on yelp and yelp sent my request to this nail salon. Since I was anxiously looking for a mobile service , I didn't hesitate to book the appointment when I received a text from Karol. When the day of the appointment came I received a picture from the owner indicating what door I should utilize to access her studio. At that moment I realized the mistake and explained the misunderstanding and offered to pay a cancellation fee. At which point the owner proceeded the charge me for the full service. $130. She argued that she had sent me the address (which is untrue), and that she doesn't offer mobile services although her square profile clearly states 'they'll come to you' under location (see attached picture). Against my wishes, and after a lot of back and forth with the owner, I drove to the salon, which is very far from my house. She sent me a screenshot of what she received from Yelp, and although it didn't specify that I was looking for a mobile service, it clearly showed that I was looking for services in my area, which is very far from her salon. Nonetheless, I decided to make the best of it. I chatted with other customers, the owner, and my nail tech. My nails took a long time, but I didn't mind too much because I was very happy with the result. By the time I was done with my nails, I wasn't feeling my best and wanted to get home, so I informed the owner that I wouldn't be doing my pedicure. I was told that I would be charged for it. I couldn't believe it! Logically, I got the pedicure - I was already there. As an entrepreneur myself I pride myself in providing the very best customer service. Sadly that is not what I experienced today. While I understand that the misunderstanding wasn't entirely the salon's fault, it wasn't mine either. Meeting me halfway would've been a more appropriate response. And forcing me to pay for a pedicure as well was unnecessary. I was so pleased with my nails that I was actually considering going back and recommending the salon to my daughter who works in the area. However, after having experienced the inflexibility of the owner, lack of accountability and poor customer service, I won't be returning and my daughter refuses to go, as well. If anyone is looking for a mobile service beware that this person doesn't offer this service although her square profile states that she does. Only giving it 2 stars because my nail tech did a great job.

The chairs were just regular swivel chairs for a pedicure instead of the usual massage chairs, the buckets they gave us for our feet made the water go cold really quickly, the stool used to perch our feet kept sliding as it was made of cheap plastics, and despite the lotions and scrubs being high end, they were also just a quick part of the experience and not really worth paying for. Again the staff were extremely kind, it's just the services offered leave some to be desired while still paying the premium cost. I don't think I would come back here again. Our pedicures turned out great, but I wouldn't say any better than my old nail salon.

I had a very disappointing experience at what is considered a high-end salon…read more Before booking my first appointment, I sent photos of my current hair and inspiration pictures to the stylist. I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.
