Before the owner says that I've got the wrong place because I am not in their "system". You got that right! I will never be or want to be in their system. I just recently moved here and wanted to get my nails done for Spring Break, trying to find a salon that I would be a loyal customer to. My friend and I went in today, I came in with chipped regular Essie nail polish that I did myself. Never had a problem using nail polish remover from any drug store to remove nail polish. When I mentioned to Cindy and David I was not happy with my cuticles were stained, the excuse was that "it is hard to remove pigmented nail polish". Whilst they should have grade "A" nail supply, they couldn't remove my drug store nail polish. Interesting. Speaking of cuticles, Kevin- one of the employees who was assigned to me- did not push or remove any of the dead skin off my nail. But proceeded to buff it with the nail drill then started to glue on the fake nail and so forth. Kevin was heavy handed, leaving my cuticles raw and bleeding. Made a complaint to David and he tried to fix it, and could not because it hurt so bad. Then Cindy tried to explain it to me like I am not well known to the process of getting my nails done. I am able to recognize what drills are used for what, and she still proceeded to try and justify Kevin's mistake. She said "he doesn't speak good English." But if he had an issue communicating to me, he could've asked any other employee to interpret instead of not saying anything at all! YOU DO NOT NEED TO UNDERSTAND OR SPEAK ENGLISH TO RECOGNIZE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT. Cindy offered me to come back in a few days to fix my cuticles and took 5$ off. I will not be returning. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I also got a pedicure, I don't know the woman's name. She was sweet but she lacked communication as well. My toe nails are filled crookedly and I know that it is not because my toe is crooked. There was enough length for it to be cut and filed straight. Usually nail techs are supposed to asked if the length is okay or if the nail looks okay. But I got none of that. I will not be posting my feet for free on the internet. I had 2 and half hours before closing, the service was rushed. There was another customer- who I assumed is a regular- finished getting her nails done when I was about done with mine. The building was already closed. David had asked the lady if she wanted to get a pedicure and she said "are you sure?" Because the store was closed. There is obvious favoritism. She probably is a regular and David had a relation with her. Cool. But while my nail tech hurt me and rushed, David could've checked up more on other customers instead of only talking to regulars who he called by name and asked about their personal life. Having good relations with regular customers is always a plus in any business. But to attract more would mean to reciprocate that to new ones too. Reading through all the negative reviews on this place and seeing the owner reply, their replies are unprofessional and not in the slightest empathetic. Find somewhere else and save your hands!

Awful experience. I made an appointment for 1:00 pm, showed up on time, and I was not seated until 1:45 pm. I had dip on my nails & paid to have it removed. However, I had to sit and scrub the dip off my nails while the nail technician was busy with someone else. While getting dip applied, the nail technician was so distracted & rushed everything. She managed to cut each and everyone of my nails. I left with bloody cuticles and swollen fingers. I have had dip applied at multiple other places & have never had an issues with being cut. When I walked up to the counter to pay - I stood there for 5 minutes, while other employees walked right past me, until I finally said something. I don't typically like to complain about services but this was the WORST experience I have had at a nail salon. I won't be surprised if my nails end up infected.

Given the other ratings, I was a little nervous to go to Nail World. I was pleasantly surprised though, and feel that they must have resolved a lot of the aforementioned issues. I didn't have any concerns about hygiene, felt that the nail techs were nice, and am happy with my nails.

    Website pricing

If you get your nails done here, please call ahead to see if they are going to charge you more. I had a polish change on my hands and feet which should have cost $25 according to their website and I was charged $40. I questioned it after the appointment and called the next day and was told there is a sign out front indicating higher pricing due to be closed during Covid. Like I am responsible for why they had to shut down temporarily! It would be nice to know that prior to making the trip there when I could pay less somewhere else. I told the owner he needs to put notification on his website so people are aware of this before they take their time to travel to the shop. I also had to wait quite a bit of time to be seated in a chair for service and tipped based on $40. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this business. I consider this price gouging!

I will never come back. The tech wouldn't apply my acrylics closer to the nail bed and they now look over a week old and grown out after having them for only 3 days. I called to ask to have them fixed or to be removed and I'll be refunded and one manager hung up in my face and the other wouldn't let me speak and kept talking over me. I was told I could get a refund and came into the shop to get it and they REFUSED to refund me. Their suggested compromise was a quick fix by simply filling the space between my acrylics and my cuticles with polish. Absolutely not. I'll NEVER be back.

I've been here several times. Tina has some serious nail styling skills. The owner will tell you he "can do anything you want...make perfect." I came in for fill and fresh paint ( they same one I had already sporting from their samples). The owner says, "No problem! I make perfect!" After an hour of listening to his weak jokes, I was ready to get outta there. 30 miles later, at home and in the sunlight, my sloppy gel job and botched chrome (which literally has his fingerprints in it so the Feds could it was him) I'm feeling more than disappointed. 24 hours and another 30 miles back to their salon, the owner tells me, "Too bad. I can do what the other tech can do. I'll redo, but I can't do that chrome (which is a salon sample). I will have to charge you again." Again?!? Less, than 24 hours later and you've admitted your work sucked?! ? Get Tina, or don't bother.

The superb work from Nail World. They feel like my real nail. Thank you for the spectacular work.

Today my roommates and I had an awesome experience at Nail World. Not only did they fix our horrible acrylic nails that we had before, they made our nails look super professional. I am so pleased with the service from the owner and the staff. The owner worked to fix the problems that came in the door and helped all the customers he was attending to. All of the nail technicians listened to the needs of my roommates and I. I will definately go back to Nail World.

The technician took his time and asked me if I liked the color I picked after he applied it once to my pinky toe, which I appreciated. Sometimes the color seems great in the bottle, but once it's applied to your toes, you don't care for it as much. My manicurist wasn't so great. I can't remember if he had me dip my hands in the bowl of water first or if he went straight to pushing back my cuticles, but I know he pushed back my cuticles and trimmed them while they were dry. I asked him as he was trimming my cuticles dry, if they use cuticle softener at this salon. He looked at me and nodded his head and said em hm. After he finished he got up, walked over to another station and grabbed a bottle of their cuticle softener and re pushed back my cuticles and re trimmed them. He didn't do a very good job at pushing back my cuticles, but there was no point in asking him to re do it. He preceded to inform me why he doesn't trim his own cuticles and why he thinks it's not good to trim the cuticles. Personally, in the least offensive way, I didn't care for his opinion and just wanted my cuticles pushed back and trimmed properly. It's part of the mani process and should be done properly no matter what an employees personal opinions are. I have 2 nails that are breaking at the bottom of the nail. He didn't even notice! Just quickly filed my nails and painted them. My nails aren't all the same shape or length. Lazy. Also, it took 4 DIFFERENT employees to do my mother in laws pedi. Why did it require so many different people and why did they keep making her feel like she was being pawned off? If I was to go back to this spa, I would request the man that did my pedi, to do my mani and pedi. If he wasn't available to do both, I wouldn't go back. Also, a BASIC pedi is $26 and they use HAND SOAP as the callous remover. I don't know if $26 is the standard in this area, but that's pricey for a basic pedi with hand soap callous remover. I would've given this place 4-5 stars had my manicure been better and if they had treated my mother in law better.
