Unfortunately, the overall experience was made very uncomfortable by the attitude and behavior of the salon owner. When I arrived, I was confused about where to park, so I politely asked the owner whether I had parked in the correct place. Instead of asking where I had parked or offering any helpful guidance, she simply said yes. From the beginning, I did not feel welcomed. Her manner was cold and dismissive, and throughout my visit I felt as though she was treating me with irritation. The service description included a **hand and arm massage**. However, the hand massage lasted only approximately 2-3 minutes, and I did not receive an arm massage at all. Although I was happy with the nail technician and the final appearance of my nails, the full service described was not provided. I had also paid extra for a French manicure. While choosing the color, I asked whether I could use a different base color for the French manicure. The owner gave me what felt like a very unpleasant look and responded rudely and sharply, **"THAT IS EXTRA $5."** I had no issue paying an additional $5 if that was the salon's policy. My concern was the disrespectful and condescending way she communicated it. At checkout, I misunderstood the credit card policy. Because I had entered my card information when booking the appointment, I thought my card had already been charged. As I was leaving, the owner called out, **"Ma'am, you have to pay,"** which made me feel embarrassed. Once she explained that the card was only used to hold the appointment, I understood and paid for the service. After I paid, she questioned me about leaving no tip. I found this extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate, especially because I had already felt unwelcome and upset by the way I had been treated during the visit. Tipping should be the customer's choice, and I did not appreciate being confronted about it. I explained that I had paid for my service and that I was unhappy with the way she had spoken to me. She eventually apologized, but by that point I was already very upset and embarrassed. I want to emphasize that my criticism is not directed at the nail technician. Although she did not do a good job with the hand massage and did not provide the arm massage included in the service, her overall manicure work was good, and I was satisfied with my nails. Unfortunately, the owner's attitude and the failure to provide the full service described overshadowed the quality of the actual manicure. I left feeling uncomfortable, humiliated, and unwelcome. A salon visit should be relaxing and pleasant, but this experience was the opposite. There was a large gap left along the right side of the nail where debris was getting stuck underneath, which can potentially lead to issues like a greenie. There was also a noticeable gap underneath the nail that didn't seem properly cured or attached. I felt like attention to detail was lacking during the service, especially considering I ended up spending well over $120 for the nail fix, a kids gel manicure, and a pedicure. I was hoping for a much better experience and higher quality work for the price. In my last visit however, I received gel x and I noticed an air-bubble about 2 mm in diameter under the nail, with a little line connected to the air bubble that extended close to the tip of my real nail. I brought up my concern of moisture potentially getting under my nails (can lead to nail fungal infection, which happened to me before) to the tech after the nail was cured, and she reassured me that it wont happen. I chose to listen to her because I trusted her judgement. My nails are completed and I think they look great, I paid and tipped 20% and go on with my day. I go home and I am trying to see the air bubble under my nails but I cant bc theres polish on top, so I shined a light under my finger and I could see it. I washed my hands, and looked at the airbubble again with the light underneath and the bubble looks different which means something got underneath the nail, likely water. I check the rest of my nails and i see another smaller airbubble on another finger. The next morning, I drive 20 min to the salon and get there right when they open, and asked if they could redo the 2 nails because theres is water underneath (at least one of them). The lady at the counter asks if I can come back at 11 (an hr later) and they will fix it, and I agree with no issue because I know how busy they get with appointments (looking back, addressing a potential health concern should have been the priority). I come back an hour later, get seated with a nail tech, and as I am explaining what is going on and showing the tech the airbubble with the light underneath my finger, not even after I am done explaining, she cuts me off and says "thats not water its just the gel", and "no one shines a light under their finger" (as if what I am doing is dumb??), but I was literally just trying to show her the airbubble since you cant see it with with the nail polish on top...I explained how the airbubble looked different before and after I washed my hands the night before which means something got underneath my nail and I am just concerned about a potential nail infection since it has happened to me before. I really didnt appreciate how argumentative she got right off the bat. I was talking softly as well to not disturb the people sitting right next to me getting their nails done but she was talking in normal volume, talking to the other nail techs in vietnamese, and I just felt very unheard and put on the spot, when I am just voicing a potential health concern. I thought it would be a simple, quick get my 2 nails redone no questions asked, but I instead had to sit there and almost like defend why I am concerned, and persuade her to redo my nail. I also just drove 20 min and waited an hour and was told they could fix my nails. Eventually she said she can redo the one nail but "there is no warranty if your nails end up hurting because if I redo your freshly done nail, your nail is going to hurt because the nail is going to be thinner", and I asked her to just redo my nail (since thats obviously better than risking a nail infection??) She ended up just redoing the one nail with the bigger airbubble without even acknowledging the other finger I mentioned but by that point I just wanted to get out of there and away from that environment. The redone nail looks fine but I am just incredibly disappointed by the service, especially since I have supported their business and recommended my friends there in the last few years. The photo I attached is from their website where they state that their customer's health and safety is important to them...which does not align with my experience. It's no secret that the techs are talented, but the moment you have a concern about your nails, even a health concern, good luck.
