The technician Michelle did such a horrible job. All I wanted was a mani-pedi. First let me start off by saying that I had to ask three times to cool the water down it was so hot that I could not hold them in that water for five seconds and when I asked to cool the water down she acted like I wanted her first born, while getting my pedicure she trimmed my toenails unevenly so I said to even them up, so she started filing my skin. Took my daughters here yesterday evening. The date was 2/13/2021. My 17 year old got a full set. They nail tech put one of the nails on crooked and also left nail polish all around the nails. We asked the lady to please fix it. She refused and kept saying it was the way my daughter's finger was and made up every excuse to not fix it. My daughter finally says she's not paying for messed up nails and the tech gets mad and says okay I'll fix it. She takes all the polish off and puts a new color on. She filed my daughter's nail to where the skin ripped and started bleeding. My daughter is now crying at this point and says she just wants to go home. I will NEVER go back here again. I go to this salon regularly and the service is decent. Only thing is that my gel nails tend to chip within days of getting them done. Of course I never have time to go in to get it fixed but it's annoying when I don't really trust any other nail salons in the area. I spotted this nail salon upon my first trip to the Publix on Normandy last week. With a sign for $7 eyebrows, who could miss it? I've been working my butt off trying to get all my school work done for this semester. However, I needed a break from constant cramming and my toes and eyebrows desperately needed some TLC. I will admit that I got here with about 20 minutes left until close, and I was just going to settle for just getting my eyebrows done. After my eyebrows were waxed, the awesome ladies in here directed me to a pedicure station. How awesome! My pedicurist was full of smiles and really funny. Although, I was kind of worried as there seemed to be some kind of spat between the older gentleman (who seemed to be the manager) and the lady who sent me to the pedicurist. I understood that it was getting close to closing and didn't want to make anyone stay, but my pedicurist seemed completely fine with it. Kind of an awkward situation, but I'm just chalking it up to being Friday and everyone wanting to go home. In grand total, my pedicure was $20 and my eyebrows were $7. Fantastic deal. we called ahead of time to make sure they were available to do our mani's and pedi's for 3 people and they said yes no wait. my friend was getting her manicure with tips but her tech had a client come in for an appointment so she had to go to her other client. the other nail techs said they didn't want to do her nails so they let her pay and walk out with only tips on...not filed or anything. I just recently moved to this area and was on the lookout for a new place for eyebrow waxing. After visiting Publix I noticed their sign for $7 eyebrows and decided to give it a try despite the negative reviews. After my first visit I don't really have anything negative to say, I was in and out in 5 minutes or less, but I can say that the person I dealt with wasn't outright rude but not exactly friendly either. I did come here for a cheap eyebrow wax though so I wasn't expecting much. Whenever I paid the $7 she stood there for a second like she was hesitating, I don't know if she was expecting a tip or what but it caught me off guard a little. I decided to come to this nail salon due to how close it is to my home. The first time I came in, I got gel nails (advertised to last 3 weeks). After only a few days they began feeling up at at the sides. They didn't even last 2 weeks. I decided to give them one more try and came In a second time (big mistake!) and make sure not to get the same lady. Well of course the same thing happened again, only they lasted 3 DAYs! I came back in and complained and they re-did my nails for free but once again did a terrible job and they were peeled up in a week. I'm not picky at all but this is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I tried another place in Avondale and it is amazing- exactly how a nail salon should be. I do not suggest this place. Nails not happy Can I give less than 1 star???? Staff unfriendly. Popped me into a pedi chair with luke warm water, didn't adjust when I asked. A man & woman were in chairs already with only woman being worked on. After waiting for my tech to appear the man asks the tech how much longer since he had been there a while. Apparently there were not enough staff so we were "on stand by" in our chairs. Gentleman leaves without his pedi, so i get started on. A second tech now appears and a 4th customer comes in but gets serviced right a way- regular maybe? In spite of getting their "deluxe pedi" there was nothing different from a standard except a very brief paraffin treatment with a small amt of wax. No massage, no aroma therapy, etc. Very disappointing. Not sure my tools/ supplies were well cleaned after use. Seemed to be returned to station. Plus a customer was eating a full on meal at a mani station watching another mani in progress. Bottom line- NEVER going here again. read more

Went the other day it was okay. I just had moved here and i havent found a spot that compares to the one back at home. I got a fullset and i picked a regular polish. Their regular polish selection was small. Maybe because if you get gel its 30$ plus 5 for a shape. When i get my nails done at a place for the first time i just do regular polish just to be safe and dont have to pay for a crap job. But she kept bugging me to get gel and i kept saying no. I went here on a Monday for a full set. The technician didn't file my nails all the way to the cuticle prior to putting the acrylic on them, so by Tuesday all of my nails were lifting. I was working all week, so I used cuticle nippers to cut the lifts off (I used to be a mail technician, so I understand that lifts will trap water on your nail and cause a fungus). I went back as soon as I could for them to fix them, which was the following Monday. The same technician did not file the rest of the lift off, and just put acrylic over the lift, causing a bubble to be in the middle of my nail. She told me that she fixed it for free "this time" but that next time she would charge. She also ran over almost every cuticle with the drill to the point that she had to stop and put something on them to stop the bleeding. She didn't file the acrylic all the way down to the nail, so they catch hair any time I touch my hair. Horrible job, horrible service. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for quit some time. I found one nail tech who was excellent (most of the staff was very sloppy) and as long as I stuck with her I was happy and the prices where reasonable. However they have now lost my business - I took my sister for her birthday, she requested a design on her nails - the sign says that is additional $5. Making the total for her manicure and pedicure (according to their sign) $50. When I checked out they said her total was $80 - we of course questioned this and the nail tech said because she has used white on the tips of her nails for the design it was considered a French manicure and that was an extra $10, and that it was $15 for a design on her toes and $10 for the design on her hands so it $85 and he was giving us a $5 dollar discount. My sister explained that she had not asked for a French manicure just white polish and that the sign just said that a nail design was $5, the tech just said she should have known. We asked to speak to the owner he was very rude and before my sister could even speak he told her to "calm down". Needless to say I ended up paying the $80 but it is the last money they will get from me. As I stated Nails so Happy was never great but I least felt they were honest and the prices reasonable - now I can't even say that about them. read more

Just going to be honest, I've never been somewhere where it was so bad. I actually had to leave a review and I don't even complain in the first place but for one they didn't clean the dirt out for my nails before they glued the nail on and just to keep it short simple into the point they charged me $75 for nails that look absolutely atrocious and that's me being nice. Their misshapen not smooth at all for stiletto tip. Oh my god they're so bad. I can't even say it. I'm just very sad. I have acrylic all over my cuticle that's just buzz down to my skin and the underside of the nail is literally shaped like keys if that even makes if you have nails and have had a bad set done, you probably know exactly how I feel right now. Just for the lady to have charged me $75 to try to explain herself away. Why they were that much to not even get any polish put on them. Not even a clear coat to mention it was something that was for my birthday and she complained about all the customers the whole entire time. This is a great place very friendly and awesome work the owner are their to make sure .everyone is treated fairly and address any issue. As a cosmetologist myself for over 20 years. And have owned Several salons. As I walk in and do a check list in my mind.. My first concern is how clean is the salon . How clean is the work salon station and the nail tech .look at the license Of the tech and the salons.Cleaning would included drills and file they use . All tools should be clean between services. Check with the better business report on line while waiting for service for any complains. If you get a waxing look at the wax pot ."does it have wax all over and one stick in the pot that they use on everyone..walk away. This salon is very clean,, tech clean between service and they speak English.!! And no fake products. Some tech are busier then other I personally wait for my tech she is very good. So if I walk in and ask for her I may have to wait for her. So it may Look like you are being skip but it is because I walked away from the store .and then returns when she is ready. You want a good clean service.not a health problem I like the work they do clean tech and store owner is at the salon. I am not happy at all with this place. I went in and had an awful experience with my pedicure the first time, they didn't even touch my feet with lotion or anything. Went back for a second time (was recommended to give them a second try) bad idea. The pedicure was a little better but still not great and the gel polish came off within less than a week. I called them to see if they would paint them again because gel should last, when done right, at least two weeks and they said they wouldn't redo them. Horrible way to take care of your customers. Her pedicurist was extremely rude to her. He told her to relax and be more careful after HE got nail polish on her hand. Okay so I went to Nails So Happy and me and my friend went so the wait wasn't bad but we got seated all the way on the other side I asked I I could move and the lady told me "no each person has their own stations and I got assigned to this one and my friend got assigned to the other one" personally I thought that was rude. I have gone to this salon for my nails and toes for along time. While they were not perfect and I did have a few polish jobs that were sloppy overall the staff was usually friendly On my last visit there was a new person who was rude to me and when I asked for a design he said sure, I get a design on every visit. The person working on my friend asked to see the design I wanted and when I went to show her the guy said "she doesn't need to see she isn't doing the design". He then asked what I had done to my nails and I explained I had get polish that I had gotten on my last visit. He said "well you did something because it didn't all come off" so he filed a clear layer of the gel polish off my nails. The overall visit took 3 hours which is crazy and when we went to pay they told me it was $85. I asked why and they explained the design I picked, which was zebra print, was 15 for my toes and 10 for my hands. Had I known that was the case I would have picked something different. It is not the first time I have gotten this design and it have never cost me this in the past. When I asked for a breakdown of the prices I was told to "calm down". After many years I now have to find a new location and will take my friends and family with me, they were there they day and agreeded I was treated poorly and that the price was crazy and more then we have ever had to pay.
