We were in Vegas for a quick stop to visit family for my birthday. I knew I wanted nail art for my birthday and was combing through Yelp to find the best artist annnnnnd *drumroll* I found her! I called her to see if she had an appointment and she was so accommodating and fit me in the next morning. I came prepared with 5 pictures I wanted from my favorite TV show, Steven Universe, and Stormi totally rolled with it! She took a couple glances and knew exactly which polish to use and matched the colors perfectly! The most amazing thing to me was that she free handed every single nail with an impeccable amount of detail! What I wanted wasn't just a simple nail design either. While she was working on one hand, I snuck peeks at the other and couldn't contain my nerdy excitement and giggled like a lunatic. But Stormi was so nice and never made me feel geeky and was really great at making me feel comfortable. Basically... . So I found Stormi on Yelp and she works super close to me so I was excited to check her out! I'd never had it before but I love that she uses foils and gel instead of plastic tips and acrylic (though she does have those things available by request). The gel is much more gentle on your natural nails which is good bc the first time I came in my nails were sooo thin! The foil/gel method takes a little longer than tips/acrylic when you get a full set, but it's worth it! And the fills totally take the same amount of time as acrylic. One thing I love about Stormi is that she's an actual artist and you can tell she's creative and actually into it when you ask for designs :) Also she has a ton of fun decorations for your nails! The first time I got some super cool skulls and this time I went for a more classy look with a shimmery champagne color. It's really nice getting a personalized manicure with someone you can clearly communicate with, and the salon that Stormi works in is definitely my vibe (relaxed & artsy). 10/10 would recommend :) read more

Stormi takes incredible care of her clients. Her attention to detail has been the best of any nail technician I've encountered. Her nail art skills are insane! She can hand paint intricate designs like they're nothing. Definitely ask to see what she can do. She has a solid sense of design and can create something fun for you. I've had issues with hang nails and sore cuticles after receiving manicures from other techs but that never happens when Stormi does them. This is huge as I think it ends up making a manicure look worse when it happens--not to mention painful. The quality holds up like no other, I had one manicure last 5 weeks and still received compliments almost daily. What's also nice is the one on one attention you receive as she's the only nail tech in the salon which makes it feel that much more special. Stormi is easily the best manicurist I've been to, and I've been around the block! Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is one of the coolest and nicest people you'll ever meet. She'll sometimes try and put her own spin on whatever it is that you show her, and she'll ask your opinion. always. If you aren't digging it (which never happens by the way cause she's that good) she'll graciously say "okay" and try something else that works for you. There's never been a design that she wasn't able to do for me, and every time it comes out looking amazing. The gel stays on forever too. My manicures come out a bit pricey but that's because I like to get some intricate designs :) other than that, her prices are pretty standard when it comes to gel manicures.
