Tony, owner of the family business is straight up about running the business. I remember when we met I brought him a 6-Pack of beer from his native land. He appreciated the gesture. My wife has used him before, he does a gOOd job. I really like they way her hands and feet looks once completed. Everyone in the shop is well trained and professional. I happen to connect with Lee who is the one I have chosen for my pedicures. She is strong and her massages are thorough. I tell her when she is done, that my feet look "brand new!" It makes her laugh and she takes her time when her work is recognized. We communicate with an understanding although her English is not the first language. I was one in the past to always pass on taking and moment to having my feet massages, nails clipped and feet scrubbed. But as my wife has said in the shop, "he puts holes in the sheets with those sharp toenails!!" LMAO - let's be honest, we all have been there but in this case, we as men have to step up to the plate and spend time grooming our bodies to lower the cost on sheet replacement (hah). Lee, my go to person takes her time and gives me the attention that is necessary to get the job done. If it goes after then what I anticipate, then I will let her know. it's that simple. The vibe is cool for the most part, I've learned the best time to go is in the morning. But that is of course, based on what my wife books and if I am available. I am heavy into music so I bring my headphones into the shop and tune out for those 60 seconds of feet pampering. They shop normally has a food show playing in the background like elevator music but it a lot of repeat of the same thing, so I zone into my deeper self. One Exception, businesses who give exceptional service and have 5 stars are growing at a fast rate towards perfection, it does not mean they are perfect. If you have a favorite technician working on your soles and things take a turn towards your tolerance level - remind them that you are not in a rush and prefer to move at a slower pace. My boyfriend and I continued coming here even after my regular nail tech moved away, and I've also brought my 3-year-old daughter with me. We actually stopped coming for a few months because the wait times had become so long, but decided to give them another chance after being told we would be seated immediately. We still ended up being there until around 9 PM. This visit was especially frustrating because I asked for specific services and instead of simply doing what I requested, I kept being given alternatives and opinions. The receptionist also told me it wasn't a good idea to get my daughter's nails done and said it was basically a waste of money because she would mess them up. She has been getting her nails done for about a year, so I already know what she can handle. I'm also fully aware of how I choose to spend my money. For this visit, I spent $175 total for myself and my daughter. Her nails were $23 and her pedicure was another $23. My own services included a $65 gel builder set, a $15 "deep French" charge, a $43 pedicure, $19 gel polish, and an additional $10 charge. What was labeled as "deep French" also looked like a regular French tip to me, so that added to my frustration with the pricing. At the end of the day, if a customer is asking for a service that you offer and is willing to pay for it, there shouldn't be so much pushback or unsolicited commentary. Between the long wait times, the customer service, and the overall experience, I don't see myself returning.
