I am visiting family in Smyrna and I came here to get a gel mani and regular pedicure. I agree with other reviewers in that the salon was clean. I brought in my own OPI nail polish is She's a Bad Muffuletta. They said they were unable to match it in a gel, but I found Cajun Shrimp by OPI and it's almost a match. My score is reflected in that they changed my price on my sheet after the service. I was told that a gel manicure was $28 and the only difference between that and gel color with mani was cuticle removal. Wrong. I was charged $47. For that price I should have gone to Frenchies and had a nicer experience. The pedicure was timed with a clock. Finally, I did not like that they did my manicure and pedicure at same time. They didn't even ask. Bottom line is-they got job done , ladies are friendly and it looks fine. But if you want pampering go elsewhere. I personally will make time to get a less expensive mani & pedi in NJ before traveling to Smyrna. read more

THE OWNER WAS ACCUSATORY & RUDE! On JULY 3rd around 5 PM, I walked in for an acrylic removal. I Asked for a gel polish overlay on my natural nails with a vibrant hot‑pink shade. I live 12 mins away, by the time I arrived home, within hours, the polish morphed into a dull purplish color--clearly defective. After noticing discoloration on several nails, I decided to go back to the shop, around 7PM. After speaking with the nail tech, the owner comes over and tried to up‑charge me just to change the color, she also suggested simply painting over the discolored polish, that was turning purple. I asked for either a proper redo with a new color or a refund. The owner refused, while speaking to me loudly. She stated "you must have gone swimming or something, used chemical on your hand, or done something to your nail", she loudly insisted I was the first person ever with this issue--right in front of other customers. I told her that I had done nothing to my nails, hadn't washed my hands or anything. After more back‑and‑forth and several rude accusations from the owner, in a snappy and hostile tone, she told the nail tech to remove all my polish, and she would refund me, she then said " leave and go somewhere else to get your nail done." Mind you, it's the 3RD of JULY at 6:50PM - everything else in the area was closed or closing, so that was impossible! She continued to instruct the nail tech to take the polish off my nails, despite me telling her no, as she was being unreasonable. I stood my ground and continued to say you can refund me or change the color. As she refused to refund me, I told her I would call my bank. She said "well call your bank then" as she SHOO'ED for me to leave, using hand motions and pointing to the door. I stepped out of the shop to cool down, and returned with my card requesting a refund, and was still refused. I told the owner that I was calling the police, she said "ok, call police". Only after I'd call the police--did the owner finally process the refund (five minutes after officers were enroute). The entire exchange was humiliating, with the owner's loud commentary accusing me of doing something wrong to my nails. As a young Black woman, I couldn't shake the feeling that a customer who looked different might have been treated with more respect and not accused. Other problems: My original coffin, was reshaped horribly and turned out crooked and mismatched--some nails square, some rectangular, all different lengths. I literally had to match my own nails up and guide the tech in shaping them into a coffin shape. The polish was likely old or applied with the wrong top coat. I've added pictures on my google review, but due to the amazing focus on my iphone15, it's hard to see the full discoloration on all of my nails. I also had to reshaped some of my nails once I got home. This has nothing to do with my experience, but......I also saw a medium sized cock roach, crawling beside the pedicure area. Bottom line: Defective products, poor workmanship, zero accountability, and hostile/accusatory customer service from the owner. So to start, they are taking good safety measures for Covid, including separators between the nail tech and client. Also everybody, including the nail techs must wear a mask at all times. Now my service, I got a gel full set and a deluxe pedicure. The service was great. I was waiting for all of 2 minutes, and there were a good amount of people. I like that they have tons of nail techs working. The actual service did take longer than I'm used to, but the she very thorough so I appreciate that. Great environment...Staff is friendly however I get a basic manicure with gel and design.and I have pictures of how I want my nails to look. The nail tech gives me the design of her choice and although they have been great, I'm charged and required to pay for what they want me to have instead of my choosing. I found this place on Yelp because my normal nail salon was closed due to the holiday. I brought my boyfriend so we can have a little impromptu date and overall I really enjoyed the service. Gee showed up 45 min before closing and they were able to service both our pedicures. It was a small wait. I love that they have their services on a small menu paper. You mark what service you want and give it to the tech. There's no confusion. I got the luxury pedicure. Which is the WORKS. They scrub, massage, exfoliate, mask your legs, hot stone, and include a paraffin wax. It was dope. They even provide complimentary soft drinks or water. I requested a polish change. I was informed polish change would be $15. I decided to get a full pedicure for $25. The lady completed my pedicure in 18 minutes and rushed out the door so someone else finished my polish. Very poor customer service! No greeting when you walk in. No mention of how long the wait time is! I've come to this salon many times in the past 4 yrs. Over time the attitude has greatly diminished. Why is that? My money is the same as it ever was. I tip about 25 to 30% usually. I guess it's not enough. Am I cheap? I've been coming to Smyrna Nails since they bought the business from Art's Nails. I think is 3 years now? I like majority of the nail artists here. Lin was the first to ever do my nails and her personality is always the best! What I also love about her is that she remembers my likes and dislikes after all this time. She understands my sensitivity and can relay if need be. Sony and Lina always do my gel manicures and pedicures. They always tailor my colors to my mood at request and pick colors that are always great If I'm ever having an indecisive momemt (which is all the time). Too many colors to choose from. Now let me back track a little. If it's not Lina, Mary and I can't think of the other lady name. I personally will not allow anyone to provide services if Sony or Lina is not available. Truly a mediocre experience, not good or bad. This is the 1st salon that I've been to where an SNS manicure doesn't include a hand/arm massage. The technicians did not seem friendly the couple of times that I've been. Also, a tech messed up my finished toe nail and redid it ayite poorly, I had to request a top coat. One positive is that my sns nails have lasted well both times I've had them done here. I've been here a few times. My first couple of visits no big problems. But as I came more the ladies are rude and pushy. Today is my last visit. I got nails done it was suppose to be an ombré color. I found what I liked asked that the colors be done on reverse and was like Lloyd no problem. Girl starts doing my nails I tell her it's wrong she shushes me and continues. I tell her again I was told it could be done in reverse. When it was done it looked nothing like the sample. Just horrible. I have gone here for a very long time and love their service! I usually ask for either Hannah or Mary (sisters who own it) to do my SNS and anyone to do my pedicure. I had in grown toes nails for a really long time because I was an athlete and was worried getting my feet done, but honestly if you tell them they'll do it. I think the pricing is pretty good for the quality you get! As well, they pay attention to watch part of the pampering you like and spend more time on it, for me it's the massage! The only downside would have to be the wait on occasions but hey that means they are getting good business. this was such a despicable experience. i got SNS and a pedi. from the start, the technicians were defensive and blatantly/strategically making comments throughout to try and blame me in order to validate that, at the end of my services, the outcome is NOT their fault. while giggling, the SNS technician would essentially say "if you move i'm going to mess up" and "it's not my fault if the massage chair causes you to move and mess up your nails" and "you'll still have to pay full price and i won't fix it". mind you, i've been getting my nails done for years. i am not a child and understand when i need to turn off the chair/be super still. it was not relaxing by any means. the technician performing my pedicure aggressively ROLLED HER EYES when i kindly asked for two coats. she was rude from the beginning and did an overall terrible job. from what i saw, they did not have any sanitary guidelines in place. i will not be back. they need serious customer service training and also should realize that even though we don't speak your first language, we know when you're (so obviously) talking badly about us. read more

I have been to Smyrna nails three times for a manicure/pedicure with gel nails. The pedicures have always been mediocre. My first gel manicure was great! My second gel manicure peeled in a week! I came back and PAID for a polish change, it chipped in a few days. I had them correct it and they were super rude. They said I needed SNS. If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband called to check the availability of this salon. We were told to come within 10 minutes we were only five minutes away so that was no problem. I asked for a short French manicure full set and the nail tech started to speak in her native language loudly to the other women in the shop. Another woman comes over and I ask, if a full set is okay and while one lady said sure the other lady said, it would be too close to closing time.
